I went one day to see our adult Medicaid worker, they took my name, said to wait. I waited hours, watched others go in before me, ...i do realize others are there for other reasons, I get that...i finally went and asked the same woman that checked me in how much longer I'd have to wait. She looked my workers name up and was told she WASN'T EVEN THERE, IT WAS HER DAY OFF....i personally can't stand the place,

They are very rude, they don't return phone calls, emails. They don't care about anything other than tearing families apart, and then making money off of the unfortunate situations of the families. There are certain lawyers that work behind the scenes at Caldwell Co DSS to make things seem worse than they are to the parents and then snatches the children permanently. Highly do NOT recommend!

They can't even get my address right. They've been mailing all my stuff to a 3 year old address 6 counties over. Every time I call they tell me they fixed it, then they send my stuff to a county I don't even live in. It doesn't make much sense.

Been there many times and get good help but unfortunately this time had a rude woman with an accent at the window help me. I had an interview appointment and couldn't remember my case worker's name when she asked me. She then said how important it was to bring what they mailed me bc it would have been helpful, not just once but 3-4x trying to make me feel bad. After she mentioned bringing the mail the 2nd time, by then I've already offered her to get it from my car but she says oh it's ok just bring it next time. No I went out and got it and handed it right to her. She was not happy and was rude the rest of time I had to talk to her. Next time I go and she happens to be at the window again, I will ask for someone else. She alone made it an awful experience.

UPDATE: There has been a box added just as you go ...

UPDATE: There has been a box added just as you go in the door in which paperwork (such as completed applications, recerts, etc) can be deposited. This is very helpful.

People are made to stand in a line & wait to be called to a window for someone to find out why they are there. That includes the elderly, pregnant, & physically handicapped/disabled, etc. The time spent standing in line is usually quite long. I spent 45 minutes in the line JUST TO DROP OFF A PAPER. This caused me to be in a lot of pain that, once triggered, lasted for 3 days & kept me from basic functioning until it subsided. I even told an obviously ill, handicapped man to sit & we (others in line) would keep his place in cue for him. Also offered the same to a woman about my age (60) that appeared to be in pain & was having difficulty standing. There are people who are not able to stand for extended periods or, for various other reasons, don't seek the assistance they're eligible to recieve, because of this UNFAIR inconvienance. I know I can't put myself in that position again. I think it is discriminatory. The Dept of Social Services should know better & CAN do better. A better system in lobby needs to be implemented.

Now they are forging documents and just being allowed to do whatever with no reasonable cause. Theives liars and cheaters. They also denied my girlfriend to get her depo as a prescription AFTER asking how she was going to have it done which would have been through my mother who IS a cna and can do intramuscular as well as ivs etc. They are denying her paperwork and denying us a life just to fill their pockets with our money. This is not what our country supposedly stands for, but i guess that is under trump huh?

This place does not help, does not care, gives you medi caid to use it and there is no such thing as patient rights. My girlfriend got depo at a hospital before she moved here in the arm, didnt bleed, actually stopped here peroods. She got depo here at the health services clinic. "Doctors orders that you have to pull your pants down on the side and get it in the waist." She specifically asked for it to be in the arm. Both times, yet the time she got it most previously shes bled on the depo eveey day since. And we just got her second but will not be going there again. The doctor ordering it is of course a guy.

My girlfriend went to check on her child support up on the second floor about a week ago. She goes back to talk to the lady and of course asks if she could check if the child support was paid by her father to help us through this rough time with dss disabling us and me being unable to get a job with this charge on me. But the lady told her that they were about to take legal action against her because SHE DID NOT PAY ANYTHING WHEN THE MONEY WAS DUE BY THE LAST DAY OF THE MONTH. Tell me how thats justice. The lady wascompletelyrude to her asking if she had a job, and then asking how she was supposed to pay but she already told her that her father was going to help this month, otherwise I am going to. Its complete bull.

I will also post more about dss after this ordeal is over. But they are now even covering up the main entrance just so you have to drive by rha and the police department. All they are is threatening and disabping. As with our agent even though we dismissed the allegations that were put on us to begin with, they stayed in our life constantly after picking and pointing out everything wrong. But one thing was that the dss agent told us if we dont get wic then it will be seen as retaliation and she will have to do something about it. Like what take our baby because we dont have wic because my girlfriend was dismissed from the hospital on antibiotics after a kidney infection after the hospital GAVE HER NO PATIENT RIGHTS, no information on care or no information on anything they were doing. But I asked her for us to get a second opinion by catawba who birthed our baby and of course morganton dismisses us with antibiotics and low and behold they worked. Shes on mediacaid and they wanted to keep her for 2 weeks. Like thats not a warning sign. Stay away from places like this and any hospitals doctors you can cause this system is not here to help you. It never has been. They are here for our money

Nobody knows what they're doing, nobody does their job, nobody will admit to their own screw ups. I have 3 kids and applied for food stamps (5 people in the household) with all the kids listed. I only recieved food stamps for 1 child and 2 adults for OVER a year and no one could tell me how or why. Then a hearing was scheduled and I was told if I wasn't there, it wouldn't effect our food stamps, I may just have to pay some back but probably not. I couldn't miss work for the hearing so they DENIED our food stamps altogether. I met with the program manager and she reactivated our case but now I'm banned from the program for 12 months because of their screwups!

God bless the workers in Lenoir. They are overworked. We use to be the Furniture Capital of the world before our jobs went overseas. Now we are a poverty infected town. Again...God bless those workers. Be patient...they are doing all they can.

Worse place ever. Every time you call they treat you as if your a inconvenience to there day. Rude customer service. Most employees there don t have people skills. There not there to help. They could careless about a child s wellbeing. It s time to fire everyone there and get people in there who truly care.
