Setting is a total 10, staff are peppy and friendly. Wasn't stoked about the 50 cent refills on the coffee, since you pay first, and I never have coin on me. Found the breakfast pretty underwhelming and bland, which was a pretty big let down with how much this place'd been talked up to me. Would still be willing to give it another shot.

Delicious vegetarian food and happy atmosphere. Great kids menu, fair prices, excellent brunch. Low key and relaxing. Evening events make this a popular spot for art and culture. Serving local brews and a tasty burger-beer happy hour.

I love this place for its live venue capabilities! If you haven't caught a show here, you're really missing out! I recommend checking out the monthly drag shows "Mixed Messages" and "Story Time With Drag Queens" the variety is always a treat!

Great community. Great location. I like the utensil system. Food could use some inspiration. Space is refreshingly big (for Vancouver) but the layout is awkward and uninviting especially during busy times. Very loud...not a suitable place to work on your D&D campaign

The chocolate coconut cranberry muffins are to die for. Only $1 for the day old ones! Also, best veggie burgers in the city. Prices are low. Staff is friendly. Service is fast. What's not to like?

Such good fresh food is offered all day. Veg and vegan friendly. The veggie burger with salad and fries was super tasty (and a ton of food). They also have local brews, hot beverages like coffee and hot chocolate, and chilled drinks like fresh lemonade.

Came here for the improv show on Tuesday. was hilarious. great atmosphere, great crowd. got the burger, wasn't to die for - tasted like a generic veggie burger. HOWEVER, came again today for the open mic - decided to get food (best decision ever). this mushroom soup is literally the best I've ever had, and I've had MANY mushroom soups. hearty, delicious and very filling - all for $6. amazing. great place, I see a future here

While the staff was very friendly, kind, and helpful, I found the taste of my veggieburger underwhelming. The coffee, says my friend with me, was very good. I also found the place a bit cold for my liking. I'm willing to come back, but I might try different foods next time.

We ordered the Pot Pie and the Roasted Garlic Tortellini, listed $11 and $14 on their website, but priced $13 and $16 in the restaurant. The Pot Pie was salty and pretty small, about a palm size. It tasted like one of those supermarket frozen pies, definitely not fresh. The Roasted Garlic Tortellini was not much better. The tortellini sauce was pretty much flavorless, aside from the slurry of saline, and the tortellini shells were paired with fat slices of garlic bread, probably to soak up all that salt. Overall, no stars for serving us a merry ocean of salt. One star for the daggy, artist atmosphere. We might go back for a gig music or slam-p. They can't a-salt us on beverages right?

Have loved this place for years. Seems it s changed. The person being our food was rude and didn t give a hoot about the food not being what we ordered. Perhaps a new staff person is required.

I had the best all day breakfast with my niece and Sister in law ! My experience of Cafe deux Soleils , an appropriate time to become reacquainted as I was happy to see the girls and chat about all the
news over a positive vegetarian meal, It was at my suggestion to visit the Cafe deux soleils sure that it would be w/o a question on content to suit the diet's as
well as I was happy to find both girls are vegetarian 'a !

Best vegetarian burger I ever had (quatro something with a lot of cheese)! I was there especially for a concert that they were hosting, but definitely discovered an amazing spot to bring my friends to!

Well priced menu. Nachos good but need something more. I suggest more salsa. The ration is a bit skimp. And needs more cheese for the price. Servers generally patient and nice. Great vegan choices. They have lots of events in the evening such as open Mike. Kid friendly. First time bisit with a friend who is repeat customer

I have loved coming to the Cafe Deux Soleils for 20 years now. It hasn't really changed at all. Vegetarian food that is so tasty you won't miss the meat. I love that they still have open mic and stand up poetry nights.

A lot of tables and seats. Spacious yet the interior makes it feel cosy. The food is tasty and well portioned. They have live gigs/shows every night with on tour bands on the weekends. Also a good place for families and kids! Johnny, Nell and Alex are amazing!!

I love this place and it is so close to my heart! As a musician, I really enjoyed coming out here to do the open mic when I wasn t busy with live shows a bars/clubs. Everyone here truly appreciates the arts and will fully give you their undivided attention. The improv, comedy, and poetry nights are also amazing and make for fun dates with your partner or with friends!

The only thing that keeps me from rating 5 stars is just that the food is okay. Not bad, but nothing too memorable. I do really love the perogies though. Again, nothing bad per say! Just nothing crazy amazing.

But definitely recommend this spot as a cool hangout to appreciate local talent.
