Cafe Benelux is a fairly regular lunch spot for me. Upscale bar food type of place. Great beer selection. Has a laid back yet upscale atmosphere and a very nice outdoor balcony area for summer time.
Service is always great, friendly staff and orders arrive quickly. Food selection is also great but the quality can be hit or miss. Mostly good but occasionally I've had over cooked burgers and soggy wraps. It's really the only thing keeping this place from being four or maybe five stars.

It's a beautiful building. The roof top dinning is top notch. The food that I received however was well over cooked. When I informed my server that my chicken was super dry, she didn't seem to care. She completely overlooked my complaint. I don't think that I'll come back there again.

Easily the best place for breakfast and dinner that I've been to in the area while here for a work trip. Cafe Benelux is one of a kind in it's atmosphere and friendly service. Also, having 300+ beers available is amazing. Highly recommended for a casual morning/night out.

Good food, drinks, and waitstaff. Not bad pricing either. It was a long wait for our food even though the place wasn't very busy. We waited about 45 min for the food so if you're in a hurry you may want to go elsewhere.

The bartender Maggie, is the best I've ever met. I asked for a suggestion for a light, crisp drink, not too sweet. Maggie went to work and came back with two drinks to consider. Both of the drinks were dead drop best drinks I'd have for ages. Cafe Benelux needs to offer her drinks on the drink menu (And hopefully give her a bump in pay too). I hope to catch her again and find out what her recipe is. Top notch, Maggie is the star.

Good food. I was there for brunch and ordered the steak tip hash. It was pretty tasty. The atmosphere was great and the staff was friendly. Even though they were busy, we were seated quickly and did not wait long for food.

This is my go-to place for when I have friends in from out of town. The menu is easy for anyone regardless of dietary restrictions (i.e. vegetarian, kosher, etc.) And the staff is always quick and nice. Food is consistently good and the beer list is excellent. Location is perfect too for a meet up space.

This fine establishment is a treasure in the historic third ward just south of downtown Milwaukee.

On a Saturday lunchtime the buzz is unmistakable and you would be well advised to obtain reservations for your group if you are on a timeline.

Once you are inside, you see a full house of busy servers and staff literally in constant motion. The other unmistakable clue you ve arrived at a special spot is the sounds of happy patrons who have been temporarily transported to a wonderful oasis of enjoyable drinks and delicious preparations.

If you enjoy Bloody Mary s there are five signature recipes that offer well crafted liquid refreshment. Of course there are plenty other options including a seemingly endless beer menu from all corners of the world. If you were determined to enjoy each type of beer, you d need to visit several times per week for almost a year!!!

The edible rewards are creatively appealing and delicious both visually and provide a truly memorable encounter. This was surely a treat for our entire party of 9 and this reviewer will be making a stop each time in Milwaukee.

Servers are well trained, knowledgeable, efficient and super friendly. Our server Liz was a real gem and we felt her dedication to make our visit superb! Bravo Cafe Benelux!!!

So my judgement is coming from a Sunday evening. The food, eh, very greasy but fries were delicious. Service was so, so nothing spectacular. I feel like the drink menu was awesome and I got a bier plate, that was a nice touch. Honestly, if I was just going off of the drinks it would be a 4. The roof top view, beautiful.

This place is hit and miss and we've had our final miss about a week ago. We love to sit at the bar, best seats in the house even if you have to wait. On our last (and final) visit it took over 10 minutes to get at least one (of the three) bartenders attention for a brunch drink...this is ironic since we at the bar. Wasn't that busy (post brunch about 2:00 pm) Finally when the food showed up the eggs where overdone, potatoes cold, toast was overly soggy and bartender never checked up on us. This is quite surprising since not every visit has been like this. Some of our visits are good, we're friendly folk, smile and tip well, but this time we're done. Cafe Central is much better, less ego. Either change the guard at the bar or retrain the staff...total knobs. (except for dude with Milwaukee Tattoo on arm, he's always been cool)

The Bloody Mary's here are so good, yet a little pricy, but it's comparable to anywhere else in downtown Milwaukee. The food was great and the service was excellent. I am hoping to try some other items on the menu. This is one of my best friends favorite restaurant!

One of my go-to places to take out of town guests for brunch. Some menu items changes seasonally. Expect at least a 30 minute wait during rush times (you can't call ahead except for large groups). Not all the tables on the roof have umbrellas unfortunately so bring some sun protection if you're trying to sit up there.

Visited cafe benelux for the first time tonight for our anniversary dinner. It was fantastic! Both food and service. Question for the owner, how do we get to have dinner in the dome? Wife was super interested for next time.

Great place with a great patio, really nice for sitting outside and enjoy one of their multiple draft beers. The sandwiches are awesome and decent size. The mussels are a great option for an appetizer. Service is nice. Highly recommen this place for any occasion
