All the good beer and bites. As solid of a Belgian bier selection at you'll find in the city, great apps, excellent bloodies and brunch, service has always been on point. The rooftop is awesome on one of the 12 nice days we get per year. And the meatloaf (pictured) will warm the soul and spike the blood pressure.

They have a great selection of Bloody Mary s. Whenever I m back in MKE I have to stop here or across the street for a real Wisconsin Bloody Mary. The rooftop seating is also the perfect spot to grab lunch on a nice summer day.

The staff are polite and greet you with a smile and very knowledgeable, especially when it comes to their extensive Belgian beer selection. It can be very busy, so be patient.... it's worth the wait!

Our waitress Rachel was the BEST. ASK FOR HER! Good vegan options here. Massive salads with creative ingredients. The impossible burger is on their menu, as is tempeh bacon and a house made veggie patty. Awesome sweet potato fries. The coffee was amazing and came with refills. Nice interior with a view of the Third Ward (especially from the rooftop).

This place has pretty good food, but is in the third ward so it is rather expensive. Their brunch menu had a fried chicken and gravey that was just to die for. By far my favorite thing on the menu. Now they took it away and replaced it with something not as good, such a shame. Really was the best chicken and gravey I ever had anywhere. Hopefully it comes back, I loved getting an order or two to go on occasion even. Showered over a dozen people this place, mainly for the brunch. It was nice while it lasted. Merckx burger is great for lunch, but nothing beat that chicken on the brunch menu.

Great menu for both beers and food. If you have a hankering for those rare and tasty Belgian beers, this is the place for you. Excellent food items on everyone's plates and generous portions. The upstairs deck is a treat on a sunny day.

If you haven't been to Benelux, you haven't lived or worked in downtown Milwaukee. It's really a mainstay of downtown beer and food, love the rooftop in the summer and underneath the roof on the sidewalk in the fall.

Food was tasty but waitstaff was lackluster - kind of ruined the experience a bit. Note on the food - everything was hot and yummy, but small portions for what you pay ($13-35), that includes drinks too ($10). We came in on a Saturday night, with a large group mind you, and were prepared and happy to wait. We were told 45 mins and we honestly expected more. So we went up to the bar to grab drinks. We definitely were hitting the middle to end of the dinner rush and many of us work in the food industry so were happy to be patient and give the bartenders time as the bar was about 70% full. A bartender asked for our drinks and had asked "anyone else?" while taking one persons drink order so we gave her a couple at a time. When she came back with them, the other people in my group (2) both gave her their order right after the order and we were met with "you have to give me a second I can do only one at a time!!". Which, fair, but we were kind of taken aback by the tone after she had just asked for multiple orders at once. Much to our happy surprise, we were seated only 20 mins later. We were seated on the rooftop which unfortunately didn't have any heat lamps as we'd expected. Our waitress was friendly and asked for drinks. Brought us our waters and then proceeded to disappear for 30 mins. We wanted to order appetizers and she was no where to be found. Again, busy night, that's okay. But then we realized she had friends at the table next to ours and was sitting and talking to them while ignoring us and I'm assuming her other tables. We agreed we would just order our food too at the same time as appetizers since it seems to be a long wait for service. She came back, didn't apologize for the wait or anything. We ordered and our appetizers came about another 30 mins later, and then our food about another 15 after we'd finished the appetizer. Mind you, this whole time our waitress was talking to her friends and other people had brought us our food (2 peoples dishes had stuff missing from them). We heard her give her friends 25% off their meals (or something similar to that %) since they had to wait and because they were her friends. We had been sitting there the same time and they definitely got their food much sooner then our table, but we were not met with such discount. Hard to say if I'd be back again for dinner.

Some of the best food in Milwaukee conveniently located right next to the trolley station. The burgers here are always a cut above what you would get anywhere else in the Third Ward area. Even their take on the grilled cheese, "The Antigoon", stands out as a star item for me. Absolutely delicious food and great service every time I've been here.

We went out to Cafe Benelux to celebrate my graduation! The beef brisket was outstanding the burgers were delicious the fries were out of this world! We sent on the rooftop and enjoy the sights. We sighted the free trolley car, the Hop, and decided to go down and enjoy a ride through the city. All of the waitresses at Cafe Benelux were on point. A friendly place. If you sit down on the sidewalk they turn on an overhead heater to keep you warm. What a great experience!

Massive beer selection, fantastic breakfast, decent lunch/dinner. The BELT & A is the best thing I've eaten in Milwaukee. Usually busy but you can put your name in line using the NoWait app, just remember to tell the hostess you've arrived.

The BEST actual Bloody Mary's in Milwaukee. They don't need a cheeseburger on their drinks to compensate for missing substance. We always get the Southsider, which is a spicier take on the bloddy

They easily have the best french toast I have ever had. Whenever I go there for breakfast I get an order with my table for an appetizer of french toast. Love the red flannel steak tip hash. This place is so good.

Let me say this first, I m huge on food quality, atmosphere, and service experience. I ve worked for many years now with the two largest restaurant names in Philadelphia, and great places are my passion. Cafe Benelux is one of the best restaurant concepts I ve ever seen, and is executed flawlessly both in terms of its incredible menus and it s effortless relaxed atmosphere. I ate here once Tuesday, and came back three nights in a row to keep working through their menu and concept looking for anything not to love; it s flawless. Sophisticated dishes, amazing execution, and fantastic service; all delivered in a whatever kind of low pressure casualness. I sat each day eating incredible dish after incredible dish, watching locals drill away on laptops with a coffee or tell stories by the bar. Cafe Benelux is a beautiful paradox in that I love its relaxed atmosphere, and yet wish I could see it in Philadelphia (where this same restaurant would be a packed madhouse that you d have to reserve in advance to enjoy). As much as I d love to bring you with me Cafe Benelux, you belong to Milwaukee; and it is lucky to have you. Cheers!

Beer selection is great, food was food. Staff was friendly (the only not expected fact was that a barman did not made a beer recommendation because he's "not a beer guy..." - If that's the case, just be prepared...)

This pace has a great feel. Extensive Beer menu, with some unique finds. Kale Artichoke dip was simply amazing. We got there at 11p, and Kitchen was open late, until 12a Sat night. Great place to grab late night grub, and a quality beer.

Cool bar/restaurant, but I don't like how many items on the menu have "unique" twists to them. There's really no "basic" item once you really look at the ingredient list. I get some people look for this, but for me, sometimes I just want something simple.

The cocktail list is pretty solid, with traditional recipes, again with a slight twist or flavor added to make it different.

Definitely worth checking out the balcony in the summertime.

This place was a lifesaver! We were looking for a place to eat and this was one of the only place we could find with a kitchen open late in the downtown area. Our server was super helpful, friendly, and attentive. She answered all of our questions easily and gave us awesome recommendations. There were great options for dietary restrictions as well! I will definitely be back the next time I'm in Milwaukee!

I came here to try some unique beer and I was not disappointed. Price was not bad at all especially when I get to try some amazing foreign beers. Food was amazing as well and I cannot say how much I loved my waiter. He was kind and helpful. Can't wait to go again!

Once again, after three months I gave the place an opportunity to prove my last experience wrong. I felt terrible for attempting to bring my family here, after traveling here from out the country. The manager apologized for the unintentional wait time. Along with the waitress sacastic remarks. But when she, I believed told a non-truth about suspending the waitress from last time, I had to excuse myself from this establishment to join my family at a different eatery close by.
Poor service, Great food. Unwelcoming service toward unfamiliar faces!

Downtown for the Third Ward Art Festival today. Went in to have a late lunch, tables were open and people were being seated as they walked in but because we has 2 kids with us we were told we had a 45 min wait. I guess family's are not a priority today!

Rude reception, understaffed. No reservations are accepted for groups under 8 people. 1 hour wait for outside seating on Saturday night, although my wife and I spotted half a dozen empty tables outside. The staff attitude seemed to say we were lucky to get in at all, what with the trendiness and coolness of this spot.
Take a pass. There are friendlier restaurants and better menus to be found in Milwaukee.
