Food and service was very good. If you were looking for a beer you would jave come to the right place as they had a book with 45 pages of beer to choose from. Fun time at a fun place.

Normally good but tonight not so much. Ordered an appetizer that never came...then was brought another tables bill. Server was lacking but food was good.

I usually go to Wicked Hop for a bloody mary and brunch but went to Cafe Benelux on reccomendation and I think im sold. Their bloodies might not have all of the garnish, but if you are a fan of the drink itself, their actual mix/overall beverage is MUCH tastier than Wicked Hop. Will be back for sure!

Great location for brunch in the Third Ward. There are several good options for those who are gluten free, including one of the most extensive gluten free beer offerings I have seen.

Excellent lunch and Margaritas made to perfection-not to sweet or to tart! My Nederland Salad was well balanced on the ingredients and you could tell that the salad dressing was freshly made. The staff was very accommodating to our puppy, Barley. Made sure she had nice cold water to drink. Our waiter was very knowledgeable on the multitude of beers they offer. Really a must try in the Third Ward!

We put our name down for a table. Was seated in a shaded area and was told we could not move because we had to specifically request the sun. Sounds absurd. Find a better place to eat around here!

Our experience was fantastic thanks to our fabulous waitress Jaime. Thank you for the on point service while delivering an excellent meal!! We will return when back in town.

Parking in downtown Milwaukee is always a beast, but once you've gotten past that, I recommend stopping for dinner at Cafe Benelux. This restaurant is higher-end, with meals averaging at around $14 if I were to guess, but the food and atmosphere is worth it. I feel like the chefs here put out an amazing product.

We tried the garlic pull-apart bread for an appetizer, and I ate the squash "noodles" for dinner. Both were truly sublime, especially as a veggie-lover.

The herb cheese pull apart bread, cuban sandwich and the beef burger special was amazing!!!! We wanted breakfast but came in too late but thank god we did cause the food was amazing!

Nice atmosphere. Polite staff. Good food. Would've given it 5 stars if the chicken and waffle wasn't skimpy. Anywhere else you get a half of chicken when ordering Chicken and waffles. This place gives you a flattened boneless skinless breast.

Such a fun place! My wife and I love getting drinks on the rooftop patio in the summer. For food, you HAVE to get the bacon wrapped Meat Loaf. Best I've ever had!

the brunch menu is pretty tasty, and there's a massive beer list. I was disappointed they didn't have their cucumber bloody Mary on my last visit, but I think perhaps they rotate seasonally. it's a popular spot so the space can feel cramped, but they do a good job of moving people through quickly

Fabulous food! Great taste. Flavors stood out strongly! I don't know what you do to that club sandwich on the hoagie, but keep it up-absolutely the best club I've tasted in years.

The only thing better than the food today was Janelle's service-absolutely top-tier and beyond! What do you pay this girl to do that kind of service-I'm guessing not enough Give that lady a raise!

Been here several times. On my last experience our order was misplaced and then wrong when it finally arrived after almost an hour. The manager comped the meal without asking. Very nice gesture. The food is always great. Try anything.

I had a beef tenderloin sandwich and it was horrible. My girlfriend had a pulled pork sandwich which was dry and badly seasoned. Save your money and go somewhere better.

This is a really nice place. Really good bloody marys and amazing chicken and waffle. Very busy on a Sunday morning, but well worth the wait.

Food is really not great, it's very sub- standard American food, however it's waaaay overpriced. Service is slow and again, not great. However this was just my server, I can't apply to all and I guess some are ok due to the reviews here. The servers seem to be mainly students, unfortunately you very much get the feeling that "daddy is paying for all my college expenses and this job is to keep him happy" and as such they don't really care.

The rooftop in the summer is awesome though

Great food, trendy atmosphere. Staff could have been a little more attentive. The walnut burger was good, fries not so much. My friend's rutabaga lasagna was delicious! Better than expected. Overall, I enjoyed it and would go again.

The beer book has an index. Need I say more? Seared tuna, salads and burgers are awesome.

Food is fresh and delicious, staff is very friendly. It's our group's go-to place when we go out for lunch.

We were in the area and wanted to try something new. Comet cafe was very highly rated so we decided to give it a try. The place was jam packed. The hostess told us it would be about 25 minute wait. We were seated in about 15. Not bad. Service was slow but not horrible.

Full disclosure: I didn't try any of the food and I came here with some of my favorite people, so I'm sure that added to the experience, but sitting on the rooftop patio enjoying great wine and cocktails and soaking in the last bit of summer air - a Chinese lantern drifting upward off in the distance - really made my visit to Benelux a memorable one. Fun, chill atmosphere, great service, CRAZY "bier book" and wine/cocktails list. I hear the food is excellent. Will be back to try!

Disappointing. I ordered the steak and my girlfriend ordered the shrimp pasta. Both were less than stellar. The steak was overcooked and the potatoes were dry and lacked flavor. We also ordered the calamari, which was way too deep fried. The only plus - the staff was friendly and the rooftop deck has an awesome view. I would come back for drinks but that's it.

Great location and food is just about average depending on what you get. Not a kid friendly place. Jacqueline was awful ( we left 15% tip, just in case she is not getting paid full wages like most waitress) , as if for a reason got everything we ordered wrong, I mean all the entrees. We were waiting in line for 45 min to get seat upstairs and ended up getting the best seats. Unfortunately someone was not happy with this, shortly someone showed up shortly after seating to verify why we were seating there, perhaps a table with kids and grandparents at the prime spot didn't make an appealing scene or something else... Jacqueline with all her might starting loosing it from then on, perhaps her boss was not too happy with the situation. We were there for moon festival and didn't realize downtown has turned so unfriendly for families, felt like dance club management trying to pick who gets in and who is out... can't risk to look so uncool. Please put kids not allowed sign outside, we will spend our dollars elsewhere... why ruin someone's time when you get our money, valuable time and keep it unwelcoming. This place shouldn't have "milwaukee public market" sign on it either... unfair for the real place.

Stopped in on a cold day walking around town. Thought we would stop for a beer but spent several hours here drinking many beers and having some pretty good food too. What's not to like about bacon wrapped meatloaf with gravy and mash potato? Really good beer selection the is very Belgian/European focused. The service was great and I'd go back here next time I'm in town for sure.

Great st bernardus apt 12 beer with a fantastic steak waffle. Pretzel Benedict was awesome. Outdoor seating with the puppy! LIFE IS GREAT!

Very comfortable atmosphere, food was great, excellent service.

The chicken and waffles were so incredibly and searingly hot and spicy that it literally blistered my tongue! No warning on the menu either! We tried but couldn't eat more than a few small bites. 24 hours later and my tongue still hurts. We are angry that there was no warning, no red pepper icon like you see on Thai menus. We won't be back.

Great selection of beer! Roof top dining was wonderful, the food tasty and great service. This was my second time here and each time it has been an awesome experience. Highly recommend for either a group outing or a romantic date.

Atmosphere is awesome. House salad, bloody marys, food and everything else is just delicious.

Were seated at 2:10pm, ordered at 2:20pm, a simple salad and 1 chicken sandwich, didn't receive the food until 2:55pm, and the salad order was incorrect, and the chicken sandwich was cold and not fully cooked (pink), the cheese was rubbery from sitting out... will not be coming back unless they revamp the cooking staff..

Delicious food, great view, very extensive drink options. There are also a decent amount of healthier food options. Expect a wait, but in my opinion it's worth it!

Great service and drinks. Enjoyed the domes on the rooftop on March 1st. Our host was attentive, food and drink was great! Really enjoyed the ambiance with friends. Will be back again!
