Disgusting smoking rooms that vent into the lounges making every passenger smell like smoke for their journey, older fit out is showing its age - typical swedish scowl with most service. Average food options worse retail options.
It s the longest security queue I ve ever seen. One hour till I got through.
Clearly signposted, easy to move cool, clean and tidy, ok selection of cafes and restaurants
Good access to public transport, the terminals are very modern, clean and there is a wide choice of catering options. The signs are great and easy to understand.
My favourite airport!Staff here is super nice, clean and comfortable.
I recommend the super airport if someone is going to Stockholm;)
I find Arlanda Airport clean and the staff helpful, even through passport control. Information and signage could be better, though.
The airport where it takes the longest time to get their luggage
If you're in a group of three or more, take the 470 SEK cab to/from the airport into the city. Its 400+ for a group of three on the train express.
Modern, shiny and very stylish airport. It was very easy for me to check out from the flight, take my luggage and change the floor for another flight s check-in. Very efficient info-centre looks like a museum. You have to take an electronic line ticket so then the staff can answer your questions.
Tips: if you arrive earlier than your check-in time and there is no space to wait in the departure hall, you can simply take the elevator to the 0 floors (arrival hall) and enjoy the shops, restaurants, seats and linge area 24hr. You can also charge your phone or laptop while waiting for boarding.
Arrived for a flight to the USA. Confusing layout for departures. First security was pretty easy but a little translation issue. I was selected for random security screening while at the SAS gate. I was scanned four times and delayed for a long time. The representatives were quite rude and disorganized, I don t think they know what they were doing and do not speak English. They weren t sure if the scanning machine results. Never told me the reason for the delay and that it was complete.
It was a good visit, but very large, and arrived two hours before traveling. This is better
40 km far from the city and cost you 100 sek to reach there!
Public transport sucks-freaking expensive.
Comparing to CPH airport, Stockholm Arlanda airport sucks!
My friend and his family went to Stockholm on a visit in July this year. They came to Arlanda and with them they also had another family. When they got out to the taxi area, they were surrounded by several taxi drivers trying to offer their services. In this turmoil, my friend was robbed, on the whole cash register. Two families who were so eager to visit Stockholm and Sweden but already at the very beginning of their journey lost their money due to theft. Totally shocked and disappointed. The image of a safe and beautiful Sweden has been transformed into a small nightmare for the entire travel company. Hope that management for Arlanda looks over security and takes measures to make the place a safe and pleasant airport for all travelers.
Had a connecting flight here, only 2 security staff and one line made it very slow but shopkeepers were friendly and I could buy drinks/food between the flights.
The airport itself is nice and rather clean. But the staff (lounge, luggage control...) was just horrible. No answer when you say hello, no thanks, no smile... It's a shame because it spoils the experience of an airport that otherwise would be great.
Terminal 5 looks more like a business lounge than it does a typical airport. Rows of head high leather chairs (that face one other) alternate with outlet/USB equipped desks (that are powered entirely by green power and look like a modern take on the traditional library reading desk).
Big airport with 5 terminals, depending on the terminal it is more comfortable or not, Terminal 2 is so so
Terrible airport. Terrible country. Skip it if you can. Lots of other more interesting places to see.
Friendly officials and clearly for direction sign.Have smoking room and free wifi for 100 MB.
Modern with a good selection of eateries, bars, shops and more.
Awesome airport. There is a children's playground next to the boarding gate. There are small planes and small trains. With the white eyes of the parents, you can take a circle and want to go back to childhood. However, the train fare from the airport to the city center is really expensive.
Some interesting shops. Quite a difference on the "new" and "old" part. Smells very bad in the evening. Bad air quality. Great service, nice and funny people working at the Taco restaurant.
Horrible prices that do not guarantee quality. Completely obscure policy when it comes to public transport (150 SEK just to go to the train station). Bad signage. Poor hygiene in toilets. Wi-Fi is at the Stone Age level. In Sky City several electrical outlets do not work and there are very few, under all criticisms, on what should be a state of the art airport.
Incredibly self-centered attitude even though the airport is a joke.
Yes, perfectly okay offer at Tax Free, tough check-in as the staff must have conversations with others, fast control, good offer at shops and restaurants.
Stockholm airport, Sweden
Lovely
During the transfer it was not possible directly and quickly to get to the gate. Signage was unhelpful. There's a lot of hectic rush when the previous flight is delayed.
Too few and therefore very dirty toilets.
It works somehow, but not as good.
No idea what it was like here, took the wrong train so Arlanda will probably be associated with stress and anxiety
Everything is closed at 8 p.m. Impossible to eat or drink anything in transit.
Good airport if it were not for the fact that it is undersized. Always a massive queue and from time to time you have to pick up your checked luggage at the strangest places in terms of distance.
The flight was delayed and there was no place to sit for everyone.
I was happy to land here. I do not think it is necessary to comment, but to spend the time here, as much as possible, to have something to process later. I think I'll come back here because I had a good time here.
One of the worst airports I've been to. Slow service
Expensive direct public transport to get to..long queue at immigration at departure..smelly toilet.
Long check-in due to covid 19, you have to walk around everything like Ikea to get to the gate
This is one of the world's worst airports in all categories based on comparable countries!
I think it's a very nice, modern and relaxed airport!
Handling with SAS was a bit problematic due to the fact that you had to organize boarding passes and luggage labels yourself - at machines! There is always a SAS employee available to help you, but well - who cares. The luggage also had to be scanned and put on the belt itself - but as mentioned, everything was very modern. Saves unnecessary waiting in lines.
The atmosphere in the waiting area is very relaxed, nobody is stressed, etc.
I would always fly to or use it to change flights :)
By the way, WiFi is free everywhere, and there are sockets almost everywhere
A very personal and service minded airport in the beautiful country of Sweden :)
Great good airport between Stockholm and Uppsala with 5 terminals and lots of restaurants as well as cafes, shops very clean airport with 3 runways. It has 3 lookouts, nice staff and more things not mentioned here.
Clean, however, was tough with the bags took half an hour after we landed before they came rolled on the tape. Though it was late at night so they might be under staffed late at night
Pretty nice airport. Security is fast and efficient. Couple of hotels on site are good.
Arlanda worst airport ever.
My suitcase 3 times in the Xray, the security agent searched my suitcase 3 times without gloves or disinfecting his hands (covid time... ) to find nothing and giving it back with a mess! No excuses
Unbelievable
Sad to end my trip in sweden like that
A bit disorganized; could not take child stroller to gate (or plane). Otherwise ok.
Check in was miserable. Only 3 switches are manned at Star Alliance (Swiss)
Nice Airport with everything you need before a flight
Very messy. Be aware that only the 5th is open the others are off.
Very convenient. Free Wi-Fi. SL bus stop is close by. Just one terminal for most of the flights, no confusion. Far from the city.
Very disappointed with the signage for the buses. This meant that I had to walk around the airport on the outside and look, under bridges, over parking lots .. Then the bus drove past without stopping ... Bottom rating
Confusing airport. There is no reason for an airport this small to resort to separate terminals and busses like Charles De Gaulle. It confusing and way too many stairs ... there is no excuse not to have the proper levels withthe aircraft ans boarding gates. Look at somilar sized or slightly larger airports like MSP to see how to construct properly. Currently ARN is messy anc quite confusing in places as well as inconvenient and time consuming. Do better.
With the covid-19 situations they have changed some bording rules in the Arlanda Airport.
Really professional response from the staff and convenient with parking and transfer. However, only 4 stars as prices are high on food and parking.
1-Expensive parking. 2- Terminal5 needs some improvement and cleaning. 3- the toilets are disgusting.
Really nice, comfortable and easy to find what you need...
One of the better airports I've been to. Very efficient, fast, and friendly.
Such a large country has such a mercantile airport. There is simply nowhere to rest for horror. Even the air is paid.
