It is located in the Hotel Zone of the city of Cancun, at dawn you can see the sunrise from the beach and at sunset the majestic sunset in the lagoon <3 all rooms are overlooking the sea and its 4 specialty restaurants are the best of the best. Definitely the best All Inclusive in the city, it is also super near the area of dens and theaters. 10

So there is only one bar maid n your lucky if u see her cone around.

Also only one buffet n its the same thing everyday.
You can't make special reservations cuz everything is booked up on the special restraints.
No just showed us around the resort.
Guest services was very pushy.
Pool water felt like bath water...

Very good rooms and facilities, food good and plentiful but for international tourism, little spicy. I did not like the drinks neither the mojitos nor the pina coladas, however, the best without doubt, their staff. Super attentive and friendly.

My recommend to you who depend in Google reviews to make decision, trust the 1 and 2 stars reviews, don t trust a 5 stars review for this hotel!

The outside of this hotel says 5 stars but inside room, service and food don t live up to that. The staff is not as friendly at all. The bathroom and toilet look so old and unkept. Stained bed sheet and stained towel. Food is not good, nice decoration and display, but not good. Way too salty and we even have food poison on 1 night. I know they says that because of the pandemic season they try to keep you safe but it is extremely hard to book any restaurant beside the buffet.

When you get to eat at the restaurant, and you want to order more food, they server say we are only allow 1 order per guest!

And then when you request some shower cap or a vanity kit they say We can only provide for club member . Like 2 stars hotel even give them to their guest for free without request.

Also, whatever show they have for the day, they cancel it without even notice the guests.

We regret paying this much for the all inclusive that I cannot even enjoy my meal or get a Q-tips to help clean my ears after swimming.

My wife and I and my kid came here for a week. It's a wonderful place to be. The food is great, room is nice. It has a nice beach and swimming. What is more, they offer all kinds of activities including tournaments of table tennis, football, short gun etc. There is music and show at night, there's more for you to explore. I would definitely recommend coming here.

For the second time I have stayed at the Iberostar...

For the second time I have stayed at the Iberostar hotel which is now called Iberostar Selection Cancun, there is something if only someone had warned me, it turns out that they opened inside the same hotel a tower that is called Iberostar Prestige Cancun so now Iberostar Selection is second, if friends, as they read it, it turns out that there is already a distinction between Prestige (first class) and Selection (second class) and so they make you feel and know several of the employees who work there. Obviously I complain about several for not saying one a day for a week of the incidents that happened, in the end it was a very recommended experience.
If you are looking for a hotel in which you want to feel that you are second class as a guest this is your hotel. But if you want a better quality treatment, look for another hotel, this is no longer an option, a pity is no longer quality.

It is clear that Iberostar Selection will read this review and they will tell me that they are sorry and that they apologize, but I tell you that the attempt to apologize in their Longe Prestige was worse than the incidents of the stay, they completely ignored us, no water was offered, Terrible !!!!, so do not waste bits and time and please do not have the nerve to answer my review; You know that the experience was very bad and for that reason I will not return.

Good for what it is. Mexican restaurant was bleh. Steak and French restaurants good. Nice pool. Friendly spanish classes.
Room was all tile, and of average construction. Gym has free weights and bench press and punching bag.

Excellent hotel has the option of "all inclusive" which has an approximate price of $ 3500 pesos per night if you book in advance.
The room is quite comfortable, with all the necessary services and an incredible view of the pool and the sea.
It has several restaurants in which there is a buffet. All day there are activities organized by young entertainers, including a show at night which this September was by the Beatles.
The beach is amazing, the pool everything !!
Definitely one of the best hotels in Cancun.

Could not recomend less. Booked about a year in advance. Room wasnt as advertised, extra 250 dollars popped up from my kid's age because age changed as trip approached (their system should have taken it into account with their birthday and they didnt drop the charge). Place is beautiful! Loved the pools, beach, and the staff is so friendly. However, I was disappointed with the food, except for the Hibachi and Steak house. Also, all the drinks are watered down. I recommend going to the other Iberostar Paraiso, although far and costly, it s amazing!

Late check out issue

Fernando, the check out representative, told us of a late check fee during check out since we didn t actually go to the front desk after leaving the room during the late check out time of 11am (according to what we were told when we called at 10:15am when they told us we there wasn t a late check out option). After they told us there wasn t a left checkout option, we immediately packed and left the room to relax at the pool. Then when we went to pay for the spa experience (which was good yet costly of $500 for 2 people) even though they didn t have our credit cards on-file, we wanted to do the right thing and pay at which point we were confronted by Dario about a fee (which was apparently disclosed at our door saying there was a per hour fee after checkout). We never received this disclosure and from our experience check out means leave the room so they can clean for the next guest. Personally I ve been to Cancun, Mexico 10+ times, 4 of which has been in the last 2 years. I never had to check out at the front desk to avoid a fee.

The most absurd thing was Dario and him telling us that he didn t care about our experience and that I was asking for him / his front desk to pay for the fee. Mind you, it was only $10 USD per hour. He then proceeded to be rude about their process and explained how it was my fault for this to occur even though it was not accustom in the USA.

Bottom line, after filing my formal complaint, I explained that the worse thing they could have done is ensuring that I left with a negative experience. The last thing a guest wants is to end the trip because of the front desk manager is rude and arguing about a small fee.

Sadly, we also went through the membership aka time share process, yet the last thing I would want is a 25 year commitment at a place where we have negative experiences.
