Great aquarium and all they ask for is $5 per adult & $1 per child donation to get in.
Very nice, small aquarium. Great place to bring kids.
My kids love going here for the fun of the sand to the little crawlers in the aquarium!
Awesome Family fun & learning experiences. Ample parking. Small entry fee (donation). Activity centers with hands on opportunities for all ages. Mobility impaired friendly entries/bathrooms/parking. Gift store. Decently clean. Next to beach area w/ sand, ocean, playground.
For a small aquarium it packs a good amount of sea creatures and information about them, I love how they add the history of the place, it gives it that love and passion for what they do
We went to this place last night and I have never felt so discriminated for being a male. It's disgusting that I was asked to pay to enter while females where allowed in for free. We live in a time of gender equality buy not if you visit Panama Joe's.
This is a nice hidden gem with some very interesting exhibits. Granted, it's not as big as big as the aquarium of the pacific, it's much quieter, and can still satisfy learning about ocean life. This place operates from donations, and they do an awesome job
Place is okay. Very educational. But it needs a total upgrade and more funding. Place looks like it's still stuck in the 90s.
Beautiful
I loved
Very nice of the aquarium to let us walk over to tje2 tidepool we looked at sea
Nowadays everything cost money that aquarium is donations
Small aquarium with many different sea creatures. It's sad to see the sea creatures in the small aquariums. Very clean and very nice staff that teach the students about the ocean.
Was a pretty cool place, not too crowded like other places!
It's freeeeeee! And the whole aquarium has teaching stuff all over. Great place to understand marine biology.
Not real extensive. But inexpensive and a great place to stop if you are in the area.
The most friendly, informative, diverse and interesting science destination for adults and especially for kids. Everyone was so helpful and welcoming that I made our afternoon a real treat. We even spent some time on the beach in front and played at the kiddie park there.
Bonfires everywhere ,music, kid friendly, great vibe!
They accept donations but don't force you to pay admission. They have a mantis shrimp, library, kids activity areas there and they have great tide pools nearby. I saw a dead octopus in the tide pools too. Try it out. It's a great "little aquarium that could."
The staff here are super friendly and happy. Lots of stuff to do for such a small aquarium. Was such a perfect family activity, will certainly go back!
Excelent and non profitable learning place with great people workers and volunteers , please if you go give a donation that will be the best way to help that place open
Really good marine aquarium and museum. Lots of hands on things to do.
Very informational and the workers are very kind. They will gladly show you many interesting things!
Super fun place for the family, and also very affordable! Only like $5 per person. And bring a picnic for the grass outside by the water!
Small though very educational & pretty, it has a beautiful painting at the entrance, kids have a great time here!! Is one of those family things , with a small shop!! A fun place to spend quality time !!!
Is dope... and there is the beach right accross the parking lot.
Water Wondersea...kids love it, I love it!
Thanks Gus! Educational and fun!
My 8 yo loved it. The fish, touch pool and The 1 yo was fascinated by all the fish. Next time we have to bring our beach stuff too for afterwards.
It was a great experience to be at this aquarium. The staff there are very nice and helpful.
awesome museum/aquarium. live animals. interactive displays. very wide variety of oceanic creatures.
Nice place to visit with kids, the beach park next to it was also enjoyable. Although I wouldn t swim in the water there.
Clean beach, several life guards on duty, playground right there, and the aquarium is great when it gets hot.
Great place for the kids! Small, but packed with great information. Theres a small beach right across the Aquarium that you can visit afterwards.
The number 1 field trip destination for LAUSD students. Much to sea and learn about our local marine life and habitats
I go here all the time and have been since I was much younger. They always have something to do for the kids.
Easy parking and the no waves side its great for small kids
Such a nice place to take the family! The staff is very helpful.
A small museum but with informative exhibits especially for kids. The Exploration Center seems like an update and the library upstairs is nice. However the overall impression is that the museum has not updated itself in years. Parking is $1 per hour but only an hour is needed unless a specific activity is involved.
Great exhibition! Perfect stop after seeing the seals at the rehabilitation center nearby
Very nice public aquarium, and the gift shop is amazing and full of different items for everyone! Very fun.
Loved this little aquarium! I have never had such an interesting and educational experience at an aquarium- I say this as a 22-year-old adult. It may be small and it's not very showy, but it's a great place for kids (as was evidenced by the plethora of them there on field trips with their schools) or adults looking to spend a relaxed couple of hours enjoying the beauty of our oceans' creatures.
This place is beautiful. It s really small but for 3-8 yr old they will like this place a lot. They get to interact with some fishes, it s just great for families with small children.
Their discrimination of children with autism is beyond appauling.
Like the place alot u get learn stuff about animals fish and stuff and have a library upstairs and its a great place people are friendly
Great for family visits, it's free ND the trolley has a stop right in front
It may not be the largest aquarium, but it still holds a vast array of localized marine life. All the animals and displays shown are native to the California coastline, featuring history along with biodiversity. The small tide pool was very fun to interact with. I would very much like to visit again!
Even the aquarium is small, its very educational. Enter by donation. Staff very friendly. Sure your kids gonna have fun
Much improved over the years. A great local resource to take the family and have an educational experience. I have to be honest and say that I have a soft spot for this place since I spent so much time here as a kid and with school trips. Volunteer if you have the time.
Great place to learn about the ocean. It's not a super fancy aquarium but it's full of great content. The library is wonderful and the nursery is amazing.
My kids love to come here and spend some time exploring and learning about the sea
Fun little place for kids to check out sea life, been coming for 20+ years!
I love this beach xq? There are games and the aquarium is free.
there lot of stuff do with the family brings back memories as a kid walking around the the cliffs and rocks
I love this aquarium so much! Very educational, and it's free! (But please consider donating a little)
