The crab cakes are actually made with real crab, unlike the places around it! Love the way they crisp them. Greek salad and pizza can't be beat

This place is top notch. Great food great views of the harbor and great service. It is a definite go to place if your in the area. Also, if you are not a seafood eater, they have a vast menu for you as well.
Let's see, chicken tenders overcooked, slow service, over 45 minutes to get food. And we ended up walking out.
Won't go back again.
Amazing food and view love the patio in the summer but still great in the winter food delicious and have never had a bad experience here
The food and staff were incredible at what they do, dining at the shack felt like a family dinner.
Clam chowder is 5 stars. The rest is 1 . Waiters and hostess are missing important details: sit us down quickly with breakfast kids menu (for dinner service) and with wrong adult menu that didn't have good seafood options (realized later after saw lobsters and oysters at the neighbor's table). It took forever to bring us water and take drinks order. 5 min later they came back to say that they don't have draft beer and don't know what is aperol nor campari.
The waiter Ryan did a fantastic job and extremely accommodating. Great food. Nice view. Completely satisfied.
Not family friendly, over priced, horrible and rude service. We were told it would be a 30 minute wait and it was an hour. When we put our name in at the hostess station we explained that we had a 10 month old with us and would need to be seated away from the band they had playing. After waiting an hour to be seated they tried to seat us directly in front of a speaker that was projecting the bands music to the restaurant. We politely explained to the hostess why that table wouldn't work and requested another table that was across the room and unoccupied. She gave us a big attitude and told us we couldn't have that table because they were waiting for the table next to it to be finished so they could take both tables for a larger party which had arrived after us. Her only solution for us was to put our name back on the list for another table. We were so disgusted with the hostesses attitude toward us and the lack of care after telling them what we needed at arrival and waiting double the amount of time we were told it would be for a table with an infant that we left and went somewhere else that had better service. We've eaten there before and the food was okay, but nothing to rave about, but the location is great which is why we decided to go back. We will not be making that mistake again.
Long wait but good food and rum punch. They should try to limit how long people eat outside right now but otherwise very good.
Fresh seafood, upbeat atmosphere and an unbeatable view make CabbyShack a mainstay for my family.
Every year we visit Plymouth for my Moms birthday and the Cabbyshack is our go to place. Great food for a sports bar and live music on weekends. Most fun place in town. And wicked chowdah.
Atmosphere and location and food were great! Timing and the hostess station was horrible! It was a three hour tour from the time we arrived til the time we left.
My husband and I had a phenomenal experience while in Plymouth, MA. Trisha was a fantastic server. She was attentive, accommodating and super cute. The oysters were great, the Tuscan Scallops to die for and the Lobster Mac n cheese was out of this world. We are so excited to refer people to this restaurant.
Staff, food, atmosphere...amazing, come check it out and see for yourself!
The food is really good . waiting was friendly . service was good
Had the small fried clams. Decent portions and good food. Great area to hang out by the water.
Dude. Just...yes. Go. Freshest food in Plymouth. It's cheap. It's delicious. Lobster rolls were small compared to others I've had, but that aside, I can't complain. I'll dream of the oysters for a lifetime.
Superb fried calamari and chowder. The blackened salmon is cooked just right and falls apart with a light touch of the fork. The service is good and everything went smoothly even with a big group.
Chowder was amazing and the lobster roll was huge. Would recommend
Loved the food, great atmosphere, great place to go with your loved ones...
The chowder wasn't the best I've ever had, but the dinner was incredible!
Watch out for bar tenders over charging for drinks and selling you souvenir cups you don't want...they water down the drinks too
Good eats, attentive wait staff, and on the Plymouth Harbor Waterfront.
Loved the outdoor dining and the food was incredible!
Love to stop here on way home from the Cape. However, today the service was terrible from the two bartenders that were there. They never acknowledged people sitting down. Waited on people that came after us, that actually apologized to us and had them wait on us. Then it was to late to leave. Others came and left as they got the same bad service we did. But the chowder was great.
We shared the scallops with Fries and Rings with the Clam Chowder along with several Sam Adams draft beer, it was excellent. My wife is a New Englander through and through and she commented they were the best scallops she'd EVER had. I second the opinion.
Along with the excellent food, large portions and affordable prices, Brendan our waiter was also one of the best we've had too. Great conversation, witty and smart.
We've frequented this restaurant many times through the years when we get to Plymouth and it keeps getting better each time.
Great outdoor seating, good music, good food and friendly staff.
Usually really good, not the last time waited over an hour for our food and forgot our apps
Food is very good and the chowder is amazing. A bit on the pricy side but it is in the Plymouth waterfront
Waited an hour and a half for a burger that may as well have been the losing puck from the Stanley cup finals, I ve literally cooked squirrels that tasted better
Quality food delicious felt so bad when I thought I would have to stop patronizing this establishment however the manager reached out to me to apologize for a misunderstanding and i feel like they have an ear
Well handled and worth the trip
2 stars for the view and the chowder. Everything took a very long time and no apology was given.
Gone downhill! No plates, crackers for clam chowder. Flys and bees everywhere inside..
Always great food. Eating outside in the summer is fantastic.
If you love good food especially seafood and a place to relax with family or friends, this is it. Not fancy, just a comfy place for a good time. Great waterside view and outside deck.
My husband and I and another couple had dinner here last night. Three of the four of us had scollaps and suffered GI issues all evening. I contacted the manager Joe, who said they sold 70lbs. Of scallops yesterday and that no one else had an issue. Thank you for your kindness Joe. We will never choose to have dinner here again.
We stopped for a quick bite for lunch. They have a nice terrace with harbour views on upper level. The food was good, service friendly, but overall a bit pricey.
Wide range of options, even for shellfish allergy prone folks like me. Just let them know and they do their best not to cross contaminate.
Good food, summertime this is one hell of a place to be. Live music often and tons of people all day and night.
Started to leave bc of the prices, but decided to stay and wow.... Best clam chowder I've ever had. Wasn't impressed by the fish alone, but as a sandwich was great.
Perfect for those warm nights! We were on the second level outdoor dining area and the weather was beautiful that night. Live music entertainment was great and the waiter and hostess were awesome. The food was excellent and have great menu variety. Definitely plan ahead on weekends because the wait is long but they do offer text notifications so you can walk around and enjoy the beauty of Plymouth while you wait :)
Tourist trap? Yes.
Pricey? Compared to everywhere else around here, it's on par.
Great location? Yes.
The bad reviews are all saying it's touristy and pricey. It's like every other restaurant on the water in Plymouth.
Great clam chowder. Fresh seafood. Varied menu (everything from fresh seafood to pizza). Cape cod reuben a unique item on menu. Delicious all around.
Best place if you want a view of the harbor and water. Make sure to get a roof top table-worth the wait. All the food is fresh, generous portion and fairly priced.
The food was good, but they served wine in a plastic cup. Big No No to me. Also it was very loud.
The staff was very friendly And the atmosphere was great! The food was delicious
Seating at 630pm on a Saturday is not ideal but not their fault. Drinks and food more than makeup for it
Great place. Grumpy guy at the front desk is mean, and sweat all over our food he brought over.
Clam chowder bowls delicious, but not the best waterfront view
It's a fun atmosphere, with a great rooftop bar, but the food is lower quality. The average tourist wouldn't really notice, but as a local, it's not that great. It's primarily seafood with a mix of some American favorites, which is a little wierd, but suits everyone's taste. There is a heavy seafood fishy clammy smell all over, which is gross to me.
I love their pizza. They have a great view. My husband enjoys the seafood.
The lobster bisque and clam chowder was excellent. Views from the top deck at Top Notch.
Best clam chowder! The restaurant is very busy and our server forgot the order but that chowder was worth the visit. There are good size clam portions along with little chunks of potatoes, plus it's topped with a little bit of butter. Yum!!
We went here for my nephew's graduation and had a nice time. There were 8 of us and our waitress was great. Patient, attentive and accommodating. My nephew, who picked this place, ordered a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. His favorite. I had the scallops and my bf, the fish. We also had the steamers, which were kind of gritty and most of them had broken shells, and the king crab legs which were delicious! All in all a really nice afternoon. If it wasn't so hot, we might have sat outside.
3 meals that we ordered plus lobster bisque was excellent, fresh and juices.
Best love the music reggae food was awesome service was excellent many visits more to come awesome sauce
Make sure if you are placed on the waitlist to be seated that they actually take your name down. I waited for over an hour and the hostess kept skipping me. When I asked about it they said they didn t have anyone by my name or phone number of the list.
Pretty good all around. The NE clam chowder is a must
