The service was terrible, the food was expensive and the portions were small. My husband liked his tuna bowl but my lobster carbo salad was terrible and looked like a sad McDonald's side salad.

Located next to water you can enjoy lunch or dinner on the outside patio
or move indoors if the weather changes. The vibe is college bar feel plastic cups for all beverages. The food is excellent good prices great friendly staff. I recommend the cabby shack for families or a casual dinner for two.

We visited Plymouth for the weekend and ate at the CabbyShack all 3 days. Everything we ate was phenomenal. We can't say one bad thing about this place. Obviously our favorite was the clam chowder and cucumber bloody mary.

This review is for the Lobster Hut, not the Cabby Shack next door. Lobster Hut is our favorite family restaurant in Plymouth. Clean, light, open atmosphere with both booths and tables, and both indoor and outdoor seating. Great location, right on the waterfront with nice views of the harbor. Great seafood! And also many non-seafood options, which is nice since some if our kids don't care for seafood. And lots of parking available. Very nicely run place. Take a walk along the rocky pier after your meal. Lovely spot.

Was greeted by host and a hostess they could of been a bit more upbeat and personable. Waitress was very good and friendly provided good service. I had the fish Reuben it had melted swiss cheese, cole slaw and a sauce like Thousand Island but in the menu it said it was a spicey sauce, I would say overall sandwich was good but missed the boat on the sauce which I think would of put it over the top if made the way it said. First time there and yes would try it again despite some negative comments.

The atmosphere was amazing and the bar tenders Megan and Shannon were so helpful with places to go visit around Plymouth. From the bar top you could see the water and boats along with this amazing mural that featured sea life. It was also so great to have the patrons come in an be so friendly! I highly recommend this place. The food is amazing as well as the drinks! They have something for everyone.

Great place. The scenery is amazing, this seafood place has very decorative walls and the place doubles as a bar so there are TV's all over the place with the game on. The food was also very good, I believe the item I purchased here was the Captain's Platter. It cost something like $32.99 or something and came with Haddock, Clams, Scallops, Shrimp, Fries and Onion Rings. All of which was very good and cooked brilliantly. Also the staff was very friendly and it was overall a good time.

The bar tenders were good. The Miller Light tasted like Miller Light and it was nice and cold. I have no idea how the food is because we never got seated and left after an hour. Smelled really good and the people that had food looked like they were enjoying it...so it's probably good. Maybe next time.

This was our third bad visit! We figured we'd give them one last chance. They said it would be a 25 minute wait and it was exactly an hour. There were plenty of empty seats so I'm not sure why it was so long. They didn't apologize for the long wait. There were people leaving after eating that were complaining about the poor food and poor service. We got to our seats and the chairs were covered in the food they just wiped off the table. When we asked nicely if they could give us clean chairs, they acted like we just asked for a huge favor. The next chair was all wet. I asked for napkins and wiped it off. There were 2 different servers that introduced themselves, so I don't think they knew who was supposed to be working our table. We began discussing how this visit has started out much like the others or worse and we decided to leave. We went across the parking lot to the East Bay Grille and had an awesome experience! We will not be returning to the Cabby Shack.

I never do this but I felt compelled to warn other diners.., chowder was really good but it went all downhill after that. The food was horrible ...they serve frozen lobster meat and frozen fish ... My husband ordered the $33 lobster roll and we ended up going to the lobster hut after we finished our meal there because it just wasn t enough. I had the fish and chips and I couldn t even eat it it was so salty . diners beware ... avoid this place !

Even during COVID they don't skimp on quality. Correct procedures were followed.

We were told the clam chowder was the best in the area. It was a chowder full of flavor. There were plenty of potatoes, clams and other ingredients to where it wasn't watery.

I had the lobster roll and could tell the lobster was cooked fresh. The views were great even from the interior looking out on the shore.

This eatery is worth a walk or a drive. Parking is affordable and right next door.

We're had a large group and the we're able to seat us quickly.

Once they took our order the waitress essentially disappeared.

It took a long time to get our drinks (soup actually came out before drinks). I managed to get one refill off my tea near the end of the meal.

The clam chowder was excellent, fish and chips was just ok.

I have been to various places around the U.S. to try different Clam Chowdah's, and there's is definitely a top ranked one in my book!. They have great bar pizza's as well. However, they have really gone down hill. We were recently served two undercooked seafood dishes and no ones meal tasted good.

Great restaurant with varied menu. Wonderful seafood right on the water. Great clam chowder, creamy and thick. Live music on the outdoor deck. Can be a little noisy but, food is worth it. Very supportive of our veterans. Upstairs deck has the best views.

Arrived at 530 pm was told one hour, at 619 we received a text to check in with the hostess. We were told 15 minutes. At 7 pm checked on what holdup was. Told next few minutes. At 725 checked with other hostess asked why we were only ones not being seated after 2 hours.only 1 table for party of 6? We were seated 10 minutes later' actually spoiled dinner for us. With 2 kids it is hard to wait for 2 hours.

We were very disappointed with the quality of the food, given the prices, and the incredibly long time it took to get our food even though the place was not busy. It's a very nice location, but they need to work on their delivery. This could also be a case of a forgotten order? YMMV
Pizza came out lukewarm and the kids chicken strips had no flavor and were dry.
We may try them again after checking out the other establishments on the waterfront.

Food was average, service was fine, up until paying bill. We ordered desert to go which took longer to get than our whole meal...ordered the cookie sundae and got a fully melted HOODSIE cup *****not at all what is listed on menu**** I ve been to chain restaurants that had bigger and better desserts for less money.

We tried it based on programs and reviews ****not sure I would go back****

Granted it was the harbor festival weekend, but it took about 15 minutes for some to take drink orders, another 10 for the drinks to show up. The a different waitress said she would be serving us after another 5 minutes. By this time we decided to just have some lobster bisque.

At least it was warm when it arrived. Was closer to a chowder than a bisque. Very thick. Also very salty.

Wouldn't recommend this place. The only positive was the view and the entertainment.

The food was good....the chowder was fantastic....like write home to your parents and ship some to the midwest awesome. The service, eh, it was almost non existent. My daughters spilled their drink, and it took another waitress to come clean it up, and 20 mins before our waitress came back to ask if they wanted another. waited about 45 mins for the chowder and salad...another 45 for our dinners. The staff seemed disinterested in everything that was going on....especially when they were hanging out around the host stand just talking...and we never saw our waitress again except to drop off the check. Never asked us if we wanted dessert.....i'd come back for the chowder, but sit at the bar maybe?

"Soggy Clam Strip Mess"

"Soggy Clam Strip Mess"

Ordered the fried clam strips and it came swimming in puddles of oil with many overfried pieces. We politely told the waitress and she replied: "It's fried, it's supposed to be like that." The service was slow and unpleasant, the place was very loud, and the food was way overpriced for the quality.

First and last time going there!
