I really enjoyed the atmosphere of this place! Outdoor seating with views of the harbor and a band playing. The inside was creatively painted and colorful. Food and drinks were pretty good too, I'd say about average. Our server was very friendly and prompt. Overall, a great experience!
Great day at the Cabby excellent food and our waitress Katielynn was the best
If I could rate this place a zero star I would. We waited over 50 minutes for our lunch and when it came it was cold and horrible! I wouldn't recommend coming here even if it's nice to sit on the patio in the summer.
Great clam chowder and seafood. Good bar pizza if you don't like seafood. Lively night time crowd. Good spot for locals and tourists.
Food was very good. Enjoyed the lobster roll. Decent amount of lobster, but not as flavorful as it should be for $35. Service was doing as good as they could with all the covid restrictions. Fried basket my girlfriend had was excellent.
Did not care for mac n cheese. Only a small amount of lobster meat in it. The manager did comp my lunch
Sort of a bar atmosphere. A view of harbor except buses at Lobster Hut in the way. Server was great! Food moderate prices. Very creamy Bisque and chowder.
During The summer time it is a popular location for local fare. Scallops are fresh and I had Ginger Salmon burger. The view is always nice. Staff are friendly. We had to wait about 20 minutes to have a seat on the water side. I have eaten here many times. Always pleasant.
The service was terrible, the food wasnt all that good and they had no a.c. on in the summer and if you wanted to sit outside you would have to wait even longer. I came with 2 little kids who were so hot they cried the entire time we were there and wouldnt even eat. It was terrible. There are way better places to go amd have a nice seafood meal than the cabby shack.
It's a seafood restaurant but the pizza is so good! Love the bacon and scallop or the linguica! They do a half price eat in pizza on Mondays which is an awesome deal. It gets busy though so plan ahead! Place is right on the water and is always packed. You might have to wait but it's well worth it!
Awesome spot, awesome food, awesom food, awesome staff, bout it...
Great service the food was excellent the chowder was very very good and the view from the upstairs was amazing!
Easy call-ahead order with curbside pick-up! Staff was amazing- wrote down detailed answers to couple of reheat & prep questions. Chowder was perfection... Not a drop of the gallon went waste. Missed sitting on the deck, but our young family definitely enjoyed CabbyShack to-go! For sure one of the best things we ever ate!
Food was pretty mediocre. Service was okay. Fried clams had quite a few raw. Overall we wouldn't go again.
Other than the swarm of flies the food was great . The clam bake pizza was to die for!!
Not much to say. Other than it might be better in the summer
Great food. They even had live music and he was good.
The food can best be described as exceptionally mediocre. We have been a few times, and given its proximity to the water, everything we have ordered just doesn't seem to reflect the high prices. The servers have always been pleasant but the gaggle of hostesses seem to be the typical seasonal help with no personality, varying enforcement of seating rules, and total lack of customer awareness. Not in any rush to go back.
They truly do have the best clam chowder in the area. I enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant as it was very clean with a wait staff that was very friendly and accommodating.
Busy, but good food with good prices. You can't beat the location as it's right on the harbor.
Sports bar that's always packed. Food is pretty good but can run on the high side for what you get.
Everything good. Food, drink... etc. Just pricy but what can you expect. It's on the water. You pay for the scenery.
awesome place bar is terrific Alexis extremely nice bartender always a pleasure!
Clam chowder was to die for. There beer selection was amazing !!! Everybody loved there food .
Polite staff, fast service, delicious food. Try the chowdah!! It's incredible.
We had a large group in town for a wedding, and decided to meet up here for some drinks as everyone started arriving. The wait staff was very accommodating and kept the tabs well organized, however; there was one busser who was overtly rude to multiple members of our party shouting "service area" in people's faces, and placing his hands on a few of our female guests. When a few people objected to his behavior he sought to have them thrown out. There is no reason anyone should treat others as he did. Would not recommend that anyone spend their money here if this is how they allow some on their staff to operate. There are far better establishments on the immediate area to go.
Foods good but it's a little pricey and they're always so packed the service suffers as a result. There's better restaurants in Plymouth. If you have to wait for a table just go somewhere else.
Great food! Clam Chowder, Haddock Ruben for lunch. Enjoyed it!
Fantastic clam chowder. Service and prices are terrible.
A nice place on the water. The food is good and the people are nice.
My husband and I were looking for a place with a patio to eat at since it was beautiful out...this place had one. That was the only plus for this place! The service was awful, we waited about 20 minutes just for someone to take our drink order. My husband said his lobster bisque was good, but the rest of the food was awful. The bread on his sandwich was burnt and everything was cold. My onion rings were drenched with grease and my sandwich would probably have been good when it was hot. The only time we really saw our waitress after she took our order was when it was time for the check. Definitely would not go back here!
Not all that great to be honest. The fried seafood platter tasted bland. It really needs some seasonings to give it a good flavor.
Would have given in 5 stars but it took a very long time to get a lobster roll and a clam chowder. Otherwise The view was beautiful & the lobster roll delicious. On the pricey side yet worth every penny as the roll was packed to the point of falling out. And if was a large chunks of lobster.
DO NOT GET TAKEOUT!!! Warning to all who plan on getting takeout, the prices are extravagant and the food is quite awful. Small portions and soggy. I ordered a lobster roll that was entirely bland so I was very disappointed. I also ordered fish and chips which where also soggy and wet. The fish was flavourless and salty. The fries where absolutely disgusting and tasted frozen, almost like mcdonald's, but with a giant price tag. Only thing with an okay price tag was the salad at $8 which was... okay, at best. I would not recommend eating here.
Our "go-to" place when we visit Plymouth. Husband gets the chowda and I usually go for a lobster roll. Have enjoyed many dishes there so it is hard to pick a favorite. While it is a bar atmosphere there is a dining room for more children-friendly accommodations with many menu selections for them.
Enjoyed the latest Superbowl there with an amazing buffet, waitress, and all the prizes. A great time for sure and we hope to be back for another Superbowl - Go New England!
Summer is obviously the best to go to Plymouth and to enjoy their patio. The atmosphere, the crowd, and the live music all great.
I think we surprise them when we say they are a must stop for us. We live in Upstate NY and don't mind making the trek at all.
The food is mediocre yet very pricey. Restaurant was dirty inside and flies everywhere.
Great food, great service, great atmosphere and drinks
After eating there I felt like I drank a Liter of oil.
FYI: You will need two forms of ID to be served alcohol if you are from out of town. If you don't have two forms of ID a "Very Rude Manager" will let you know that even if you are clearly over 21 he will not allow you to stay.
Pizza is really good although great atmosphere was not to impressed with some of the other dishes taste especially for the price
Great new menu. Never been disappointed. Cabby is the best!
Can't recommend their bloody Mary's, specialty pizzas, and clam chowder enough! Their scallop bacon pizza is AMAZING! Great place, winter or summer.
Super legit food, great drinks. Highly recommended IMO. Anytime im within 30 miles of plymouth i make sure to visit.
Listen to me closely. Get Logan as your waiter, order the calamari(best I've ever had) and get the clam chowda(best I've ever had) on top of your fries!! I know it sounds crazy but DO IT!
Atmosphere is good, a little loud. Food was below average
Mariah (training) and Marie were fantastic Servers!! We had the Bellies!! Delicious!!!
Typical sports bar environment with the added bonus of some seating with an ocean view. Clam chowder is great but that was really the only highlight. The captains platter was about 50% french fries, 20% onion rings and 30% actual seafood. To it's credit the fries were good but for $32 I expected more seafood than we got. Also was looking forward to some fried haddock in this plate but there was only one small piece burried between everything else. Most of the seafood was fried clams and shrimp so don't buy it if you are hoping for scallops or hadock. In fact I would say for $32, don't buy it at all. Also before you think that maybe I was unlucky with my Captain's Platter, keep in mind I ordered 2 "full" platters for our table and they were both exactly as described above. Last but not least was the poor service we received from our waitress. We had to get up to get our own drink refills from the hostess because our waitress had us sitting on empty for 15 minutes. When she finally dropped off our check, I stuck my credit card in there and sat there for another 10 minutes before I got up to find someone to cash us out too. Maybe I would have enjoyed this more if I got one of the few good seats with a view, simply ordered the fish and chips and had a decent waitress or if I just came for drinks but our over all experience was unfortunately not one I would recommend to anyone.
Great food. Extremely busy as fathers day and outside seating on the waterfront. Had to wait as expected. Food excellent svc was good
Sat at bar. Killer service, AMAZING FOOD for the $. Staff were sweet and inviting. Fun atmosphere. Will return. And did I say....AMAZING SEAFOOD!!!
Service is very slow. Went there twice and had the same experience:(
I don't understand the low ratings here. The service does suck, but the food is outstanding. I am a clam chowder addict and found this place to have by far the best chowder in New England. The cream is thick, smooth and tasty. Unlike, the other famous chowder houses this one is not overloaded with large, hard potatoes. The clams were perfect, tender and very tasty. Potatoes were small and also soft/tender. Also, the portions are huge! Great value for the money.
A little pricey, however ,food and service at lunch time very good.
I got fish and chips which did not come with a pickle, but the fish was tasty along with the french fries. I'd say Its a okay restaurant with average-quality food.
Terrible service, waited a half hour for what was told a 15 minute wait and turns out they forgot to put us on a waiting list. Waited another half hour and got our party size wrong. The manager came and appologized and said "I'm giving you our best waiter" That waiter proceeded to get our drinks wrong. Awful, just awful.
Best atmosphere. Beautiful and very wide menu. Nice place to go any night of the week.
Loud, food was cold, never saw the waitress after we ordered
Cabby Shack, was good. The oysters and Jumbo shrimp were excellent. I enjoyed myself. Love the baby Tabasco bottles.
Very sizeable menu, good service. Very pleased with the food!
Good food. The haddock, clam strips, shrimp and scallops were all great. Good price for the quality. I'd recommend this place over most restaurants in the area if you don't mind it being family friendly.
