Wasn't bad ,little expensive. Price are little higher than expected

Outdoor dining by the ocean, tasty drinks and delicious food. I had the short-rib panini and my wife enjoyed the lobster roll.

Great place, had good fried seafood, saw live music & it's on the wharf

The food they can do they do amazing, other food selections fall flat (they have chowdah and pizza to die for, but the rib sandwich is almost all a mushroom cap), fantastic location and good beer selection.

Excellent food and service. Kid and family friendly. Definitely would visit again.

The best clam chowder I have ever had.. highly recommend.

Crazy storm came through and the staff handled it great with the entire place packed indoors, outside and roof.

Best claim chowder on our trip from New York City to York Harbor ME! We would do this trip again just for the chowder!

The fish and chips was delicious! So was the calamari my husband was too full to finish! Great atmosphere with live music, sunshine between the umbrellas and the smell of the ocean. Doesn t feel crowded though I m sure they could fill more tables if they wanted too! Attentive staff. A must for visitors!

Ordered a quinoa and mixed greens salad. It came with blueberries and strawberries, all of which were molded together and rotten. Besides that, the food did look good. My friend had a nice meal. It's not the right time of year for good berries but theres no way someone washes or looked at the ones they sent out on my plate. The waitress was very accommodating

Food was delicious! Staff was great ! Beautiful views and live music!

The cod was slightly greasy. Fries were not very good. And didn't have coke products.

Service and atmosphere was good, got a little nauseas after though.

Wonderful food, my personal favorite is the lobster Mac&cheese. Right by the ocean And on the edge of the fun part of downtown Plymouth.

TL;DR
The view on the roof deck is *awesome*, the chowder is redonk good, the service is so not good. If you can chill and accept that, go.

The Review
I met a buddy for dinner here last night; it was my first Cabby Shack experience. It will not be my last.

Arrived around 4:30 on Friday and was glad to be offered a table in the sun on the roof deck. The view is excellent.

They've got a decent beer list, including a few good IPAs.

I ordered a cup of their much-lauded Clam Chowder. It was fantastic and has clearly earned its reputation. When you come here, you really have to try this.

I then ordered the Steak Bomb pizza, having read Yelp reviews indicating their bar pizza is excellent. The pizza was, in fact, quite good, and prompted the Dad and his two little girls at the next table to ask what it was.

The only downside to our experience was the service. While it started strong, it tapered off even though it didn't get crowded.

My friend ordered a salad with steak tips and dressing on the side. We had to ask three times for the dressing after his meal was served. Our drink order, at one point, appeared to have been forgotten. And, 10 minutes after asking for a To-Go Container for my pizza, during which our waitress asked twice if we had received aforementioned container, I finally got up, went to the waitstaff station (12 paces to my left) to get it myself. On the way, our waitress asked, "do you need something?" I replied, "I'm getting a To-Go container." She said, "I can get that." Ummm ... really? I went ahead and took care of it on my own.

I was very disappointed. Heard nothing but good, but found much to be desired. Rated as $. My husband and I each had a cup of chowder, that tasted more like mashed potatoes with sourcream that matured a very long time. I wonder if the Food Channel not being on their A Game when giving them an award for chowder. We split a lobster roll 95 percent of claw meat that was very rubbery and chewy to eat. Onion rings were a generous portion, but flavorless - could have used paprica or onion powder in batter. Best part of the meal was the tea and sweet waitress. All for $59. Very disappointed!

Best pub pizza in town! Great little spot on the Plymouth waterfront, great place to grab a drink or enjoy a meal on the roof deck.

Great views and cocktails. It was a gorgeous day on their upper deck.

Love the outdoor seating and they have some of the best chowder around.

Very busy place, lots of seating, didn't take too long to get a table but we opted to stay at the bar. Bartenders were friendly and the food was very good, great prices.

We went there thursday and Saturday night. The food was magnificent. I had the same thing both nights. 1/2 order of fried scallops with onions. ;as not greasy at all. Perfectly cooked. Batter was just enough. Not over battered and the onion rings were great. Waite staff were great

Came for lunch on Wednesday. Place was on it's slower time.
Seated fast. First table (corner table with windows on each side) was plagued by flies. Not one or two like 10+ flies buzzing all around the table and mostly on the windows. We asked to be moved because this was really freaking out the kids and the second table only had like 2 or 3 flies hanging mostly around the window. Waitstaff were really nice and waitress was great. The food was subpar. My burger was ok (same as any in that area) kids mac and cheese was kinda dry, the chicken tenders were very dry and the rings and fries weren't anything special. The only thing to save this lunch was the lobster bisque.
The bathrooms were clean, and besides the fly issue the restaurant was very tidy.

Very good seafood/comfort food. The decorations were very cute and for the most part the restaurant was clean. Staff was nice and helpful and the restaurant seemed family friendly. A great view when seated outside!!

Visited this location for lunch. It had a good feel and the food was pretty good. They have a very big selection of food; ranging from seafood, salads, sandwiches, and pizza. The price was very reasonable for what was offered, and I would definitely visit again if I am ever visiting Plymouth.

The scollop's were phenomenal Fresh and tender very tasty Worth the 45 minute drive

Ordered a small Greek Salad, a lot of food in the bowl, therefore it looked like a bowl of garbage along with being over dressed. We were annoyed by all the flies near the windows, sat beside a table with two young mothers. The baby in the high chair continued to drop his food on the floor, and no comment from the wait staff to bring the mess to the mothers attention. We spent over $100 for lunch and it was disgusting, although the chowder was DELICIOUS

Great food great service what more to say! (If you like thick clam chowder that is a MUST here)

The only reason I'm giving 3 stars is because the drinks are great and service was good. I feel like the people saying this place has good seafood dont know what good seafood is. The clams were in a disgusting broth that didnt belong paired with shellfish, half of the mussel shells were cracked and broken, the crab cake had really good flavor but 75% of it was burnt. Steamers were ok but it's hard to screw up steamers. Go for the great atmosphere and drinks but theres waaaaay better seafood in the area.

What is with the "live music' entertainers? They ALL seem to confuse LOUD with good.

We got the bloody Mary special, with shrimp. "Appetizer' for 14.99, unfortunately the appetizer turned out to be 1 shrimp, certainly was not worth the extra 5 bucks for the drink! Service and the Chowder was very good, but did not care for the cold lobster roll at $23.99. Not sure if I would go back

Cabbys is such a great place. The food is outstanding and the staff makes you feel at home.

The pizza was just ok and the mixed drinks are ridiculously overpriced for what you get... On the other hand, they do have the best chowder that I have ever had from a restaurant... Sitting on the deck whether it is the lower or upper is a nice setting during summer...

Food was acceptable nothing to rave about. I got baked haddock came with sugar snap peas which were striggy and gross no other vegtable offered. My husband got steak tips and they were chewy. Hes a chef said was not tips but cut brisket or something. View was beautiful so that helped. Going to try just a sandwich next time entrees not worth the prices. You pay for view and did have one man singer so was nice atmosphere. Drink prices below

With the updated menu and more reasonable pricing I wouldn't call this place a tourist trap anymore. The food has always been okay, but now it's amazing!

Service was horrible! Manager had an attitude! The food was overall pretty good but the bright spot of the day was the waitress that took over for an absolute disaster waitress. The manager made no effort to smooth things over.

Food is good but too expensive. A very lively and noisy atmosphere, but overall feels a bit dirty and greasy. Not bad for an ocean front bar, but look elsewhere for a meal.

This place is not too shabby.. the service is incredible, the atmosphere is great, but the menu Is a little vague... although not completely knowing what I ordered the waiter did in fact go out of his way to ask if I d like chowder, I kindly declined due to the fact I do not eat fish. This place isn t too bad, I d give it a shot Certified fresh

Clam chowder so good and thick that your spoon stands up

Lively, carribean style restaurant. Can be crazy busy and loud, but a fun place to grab some good eats and cocktails.

Best clam chowder I've ever eaten. The drizzle of butter on the top, the rich cream, the perfectly cooked potatoes - all made this THE lunch spot in Plymouth.

Great food, staff and atmosphere. Indoor bar and outdoor plus upper deck outdoor bar. Food is legit good and unique. You'll pay for it but nothing crazy and well worth it.

Great place if you like loud partying people. Greasy fried food. Scallops were under done. The fish and shrimp over cooked. The nachos were really good though. I didn't like being in a room with a bunch of over intoxicated people at 7 p.m.

Great casual place. We went with a large group and had good service, food was good too!

Only thing good was the service. Not great, just good. The food was not good. Fries and onion wrings had no taste. The nachos looked like gold fish food and had some sauce that they were trying to pass as a cheese sauce. Nasty.

Beautiful view over Plymouth harbor from the upstairs outside paddio. There is a cocktail bar 8n the outside section. The inside is devided into a dining area and a "sports bar".

I went three times in my vacation and the servers were always very nice and very willing to help even with complicated orders (low carb dietary restrictions).

All the food I had there was excellent. If I had to recommend something I'd recommend any sea food as well as the Buffalo Wings with Thai Chili Sauce.
