You can't get any pizza or clam chowder like this! The BEST. Everything's perfect about this place besides the bathrooms, but it's understandable because its a seafood restaurant lol I just wouldn't recommend using their bathrooms!

I misread the sign on my GPS and thought it had said "Crabby" Shack so I was expecting a menu just filled with fried or steamed varieties of seafood LOL This gem is in fact called the Cabbyshack because the first three letters "CAB" are the owners initials bf I believe his friends called him Cabby growing up. What's unique about the owner is that he has literally worked in every restaurant position known to man before owning this place. So he not only understands what his employees go through to make his place successful but he also equally knows how to appreciate them as well. I lived seeing that they had pictures scrolling of staff who were employees of the month for the current period and from the previous on their TV screens!

Read through some of the negative reviews and to be honest, those people just sound like little whiners and complainers about every little thing in their lives. Y'all need better hobbies....

Just to address some of the hate because there is always 2 sides to every story:

1. When you first open up the menu, yes, there is a plethora of fried food selections on ONE page. However continue opening up to the rest of the expansive menu and you'll see that there are a number of Blackboard Chef specials as well that would blow your mind. So no, this is not your typical fried seafood Extravaganza kind of place. So please look at the entire menu before you judge, just saying.

2. If you come on a holiday weekend, for an example July 4th, yes they will charge you a $50 reservation fee just in case you don't show up because July 4th is a prime weekend for them and since they are front and center of where the fireworks are, no matter what kind of Celebration you are celebrating, it's still a national holiday and you will get charged if you do not show up. Which I think is fair.

3. If you are from out of state, in Massachusetts they require a second form of ID when they card you. So just because you couldn't drink because you didn't look of age to drink and didn't have said second form of ID don't just leave a crabby review that isn't at all true just because you're sober for once.

4. I don't know how much y'all eat at home, but the portions here are not small, as one- reviewer claimed they were, but quite generous and is appropriate for what they charge.

Chef Rob Bono is a James Beard award winner who has worked at many famous and upscale establishments in his career. His Creations here are made with classic technique and inventive flavors and thoughtful execution. Trying to raise the bar Indy quality of food that is served at the cabbyshack oh, and he is most definitely accomplishing that here.

Drinks are great, great beers on tap and the staff is super friendly, warm and accommodating! It's a fun atmosphere with live music on weekends too.

Had breakfast today and the food was great. The issue is with the service. I had a lobster carbonoro omlet and I asked for the sauce on the side. It came in a little cup and was straight out of the fridge cold. My wife asked for jelly and I for more coffee. When we were finished the waitress came back with a half cup saying that was all they had and as she was picking up my wife's plate asked her if she wanted the jelly. Great place for such poor service. Had dinner there Friday night and again it was a service issue. Time to try one of the many other establishments

Ok, you NEED to try the clam chowdah! It is the undeniably the best I've ever had. We also grabbed a mojito and margarita here. My family split a half order of the Captain's Platter. It was delicious and fresh! If you need a few snacks to split amongst friends or want a tasty meal, you need to check out the Cabbyshack!

The service was pretty good in spite of a full house and the location was beautiful. But the food was meh. Nachos didn't have enough toppings. Oysters didn't taste fresh. Sauce on the broiled scallops had an odd taste.

Best clam chowder I've ever had! The clam roll was amazing as well as the lobster roll. This is the second time on our vacation that we have come. Tricia was a great server and on our previous visit the manager was great at getting us a table for a large party as quickly as she could.

Less than 1 Star - Better off going to McDonald's, drinks were over priced ($15 for one drink), service was completely horrible (waitress never gave me my tartar sauce for fish and chips that were small for the price and restaurant manager didn't really care my fries were too salty to eat, food came out late- got apps, soup and entrees all at the same time- Really? Will never go back- $200 bill - complete ripoff!!

Server gave me the wrong drink...again...ignored me when i said it was wrong. was focused on large big tip table...then when the manager emailed me he didn't care either. i wont be back.

Overpriced and touristy. I got slaw and onion rings with my lobster but the slaw didn't come in a cup. Instead it was on the plate with everything else and made my onion rings soggy. Lobster was also a little funky. Not the best but not horrible.

Come here to find decent comfort food or something a little unfamiliar. The ambience and smell makes it truly a "shack". We came on a Friday and there was live music (one guy playing acoustic covers). Decent view on patio.

Casual, family friendly, great food, amazing service, right on the water. Parking lot gets crazy, shared with other restaurants, many spots are paid. Be prepared to wait on a busy night, but kids will probably be entertained (I brought my 3yo daughter, she was fine).

Service was ok, more the food that was just not worth what I paid for it, we got a loner roll and a Caesar salad with lobster salad and two drinks and our bill was 90 dollars....for that price the food was not good or worth it, don t plan on returning

A little pricey, especially adult beverage wise. However, this has been the "spot" my sister and I will choose to go to. Unfortunately not super allergy friendly. There is gluten free crust available for pizza, which was delicious.

The place was amazing when we first walked in; outside deck, music playing, and there was some kind of event playing. We sat down and ordered our drinks and when we got them, mine was amazing. My boyfriends wasnt what he ordered and so he sent it back asking for the right drink. When he got it back it was overflowing with alcohol and didnt make the drink taste right ( he was fine with it) the food was ok, nothing especially great. And by the end of the night when we got,our checks we had spent $50 on 4 drinks. It was really confusing because they also add in the alcohol thats in it and it looks like they are charging you for 6 or 8 drinks. I honestly feel pretty ripped off, but my boyfriend liked his food and they were really nice.

I loved the people (Host & waitress) but the food was very disappointed.
My wife and I had clam chowder, lobster roll and fish-and-chips.
The chowder was good but super thick.

Fish and chips (literally small bag of chips, not french fries) on an old taste bun, one leaf of lettuce, really good fried haddock, tartar sauce and a pickle. Besides the taste of the bun and no french fries I believe the $15 for it based on the location was ok.

Biggest disappointed came went the $25 dry less than half sized hotdog roll with a few grams of lobster came, served with one piece of pickle (bigger than the bun) and guess what? Yes, a bag of potato chips.

All of that, a small beer and a margarita came to $70+

Oh "due to new regulations" they said, they could only serve drinks with the food, not while waiting for it. ??? New Massachusetts rules ???

The food wasn't bad, but the drinks were terrible. I bought two 30 oz drinks in a fish tank glass, I barely ever drink (maybe 15 drinks a year) and neither could I taste the alcohol, and after two 30 oz cocktails costing almost 20 dollars a piece, I felt nothing and definitely should have. It really sucks that during Covid, I choose here to go, was hoping for a nice glow to walk around for a while. In the time of restaurants getting half the business they did, it is not a good idea to mix drinks so weak, because I won't be back next time I am looking to have a fun night out. They saved 2 bucks in alcohol, but lost a customer.

The clam chowdah is a must have and the rest of the food we had at the Cabby Shack was excellent. The servers were very friendly and helpful. I strongly recommend stopping here when you are in the Plymouth MA area. And it"s only a few blocks fro the Rock!!

My daughter and I ordered take out today at 1:30. When I opened my fried scallops they were not cooked. I called and was told a manager would call me...its now 7 hours later no call. Very very disappointed in their customer service. The scallops were NOT COOKED and that cost me 18.00 for French fries...REALLY CABBY SHACK

Great place with friendly service. We read somewhere that they have the best clam chowder around, so we went there just for that. It was different, very thick. Not like anywhere else. Taste was good, but I wasn't a fan of how thick it was. My wife liked it though.

Going to restaurants is an odd experience these days but the staff here kept it very friendly and positive. I had the lobster roll (my first so I can't compare) which was quite tasty. The lobster was moist and tender and the chunks were big. I upgraded to the onion rings and they were absolutely worth it. The decor is stereotypically beachside which doesn't thrill me but the view was excellent.

I frequent this special restaurant many times because I love the ambiance that is exist in this restaurant. The team is very loving and qualified. The service is deeply rapid. Not to mention, the food they prepare is good. I frequent often and I was always satisfied. The rate is decent. I highly recommend this restaurant to all my friends.

Chowder is amazing, with that said though, every entree seems to come up short. The lobster roll has a ton of meat but lacks flavor. It comes with chips, but for a fee you can get fries . Not the best 100 dollars I have spent ,but like I said, the clam chowder saved the meal.

Best quohogs, best drinks, baked potatoe pizza is bomb and the salted caramel cookie sundae is EVERYTHING! location and service are exceptional. This is a super relax and casual dining spot, great for families or a night out.

We stopped there for lunch and were seated in the full sun. The wind was up a bit and they wouldn't bring us an umbrella. Both tables next to us got umbrellas. We asked to move and they said they had nothing open. The manager followed us out and hollered for us to have a good day. Don't care how good the chowder is, I'd never go back.

Went there for lunch. Had a lobster roll. NOT impressed. For the price you pay for the lobster roll you d expect the lobster! Not lettuce and hotdog roll and a piece of hair in the lobster. Asked to talk to the manager or person in charge and was blown off. So I just wanted to leave at that point.. paid and left. NOT HAPPY.

I got the truffle shrimp flatbread and it was superb! We were seated on the roof deck with a great view. We've been here multiple times and it's always great. No point in eating anywhere else when in the downtown plymouth area.
