I'm extremely disappointed in this hotel, esp. their service and disregard shown by the management when faced with a possible theft. The chambermaid had somehow taken my dress slip (or stole it?) and apparently taken it with the sheets even though the slip was blue-green and the sheets were white (I had left it on the bed); when I called I was transferred to Security where they told me they would look for it in the laundry and call me back. They didn't. I called again 2x during my 5 night stay asking if they found it. Each time they gave me the run-around ending with "we will call you, the laundry is not back yet, we cannot check now" but never bothered to do that. It's been a few weeks since my stay and still no call, not even a courtesy call to let me know that they couldn't find it! I called again from home twice yesterday, left a voicemail with a manager but haven't heard back. I'm amazed at the sloppy disregard and disrespect these people, everyone from the Security staff to the Security manager, to the manager at the front desk, have shown towards me. Without the slip I cannot wear the dress. It is my favorite dress, and it was quite expensive as well. It is not clear whether the slip was stolen or mislaid but whatever the case, the hotel should have investigated and offered a compensation for it. The customer deserves to be treated much better! I do not recommend this hotel.

This was the worst experience I've ever had in a hotel. I would recommend a Holiday Inn Express to this place any time. The bathroom door was nearly coming off the hinges...had to pick it up to get it to shut. Holes in the door on the bottom inside. Couldn't use the bathroom rug because the door was too close to the floor so it would get wadded up when you tried to close the door. The door apparently had a hole in it at one time based on the mismatched paint. The shower leaked at the bottom of the door so bad we had to keep towels at the base of the door to soak up all the water.

The peep hole was blocked/painted over/plugged...not sure which, either way it presents a potential security issue.

The closet door couldn't be properly closed because it would come off the track.

I put in a couple of lamp shots because they were all crooked, dirty and had strings hanging. For this to be such a highly rated hotel you would think they could do a little better than that.

They offered apples on a tray in the hallway. After cutting into two that were inedible I decided to stop.

The food was very expensive and mediocre at best. The breakfast was $43 per person plus a 20% service fee for all food items then you are, of course, expected to tip the waitstaff. For two people plan to drop a Benjamin every morning for breakfast.

Now, the worst part is this...not a single person asked me how my stay was. No one asked if my accommodations were acceptable, not even at check out.

Again, I would recommend a Holiday Inn Express.

The service is stellar! The room service and medical care takes less than a minute to show up. First-timers should definitely eat lunch at 501 East. The food is so decadent and tasty! The pools and beach have crystal-clear water, and a lot of good restaurants are within walking distance of the living quarters. And the beds are really comfortable, too. Like sleeping on a cloud. I highly recommend staying here.

Opened the door to torn up dirty carpet, dirty walls and a bug killing powder under the doors of the ajasent rooms. We requested another room, with no avail...very disappointed to say the least!

The hotel was very beautiful, and so was the service! My cousin (13) wasn't allowed in the spa. Of course I respect this decision because sometimes kids can cause trouble in spas. My cousin has been to many spas, and is very mature.

Great hotel with a lot options, I wasn't able to use when I was there just for one night but had to pay them (like for example the service charge of 40 USD). Also, being a 5 star hirel with high room rates should not charge everything extra.

Review for Lucca restaurant in the Waldorf. Service was excellent! The wine list is quality and the wine we ordered was perfect! Food however was terrible. I m sorry for all these people who leave positive reviews, I don t think they ve ever been to a decent restaurant. The veal parmigiano was overcooked and tasted like pizza. Mushroom rabbit risotto was barely okay. The chicken was overcooked on the breast, but not fully cooked on the thighs. The veal rigatoni was bad - the veal itself was decent, but the pasta was undercooked - it needed at least another 2 minutes to become al dente - it was simply not cooked. We didn t eat the pasta. The octopus was burnt and the calamari though I thought was decent, not great, decent, the rest of the folks in my party said it was too heavily breaded. For a restaurant in a luxury resort this restaurant falls extremely short and be prepared to pay a lot for simply bad food. Leave the resort and find a truly great restaurant for the same price or better. (It ll probably be hard to find another restaurant in the area that is more expensive. So you can t go wrong. No matter where you go you ll pay less, and the food really must be better. I literarily have not had such bad food at a good restaurant before as I did at Lucca)

I am rating this hotel solely off of how they treat their staff. You can tell so many of their staff members haven t had enough proper training which sets them up for failure. Not enough product is ever ordered and or on time which makes the employees look bad when really that s upper managements fault. I saw so many directors and managers on their phone but never helping out their employees when they clearly needed it. Everyone looks miserable and I honestly am very disappointed with my experience. This entire trip has ruined my vision of true hospitality.

The resort was beautiful as were the buildings and the architecture, however they do want to charge you $30 for parking even if you're just visiting someone for 20 minutes. The pool area is very nice and so are the restaurants. But if you ever decide to order a pizza from an on-site restaurant, be aware that in a small pizza box they can fit two pizzas, since they're so tiny. You're better off ordering from a local pizza place and having it delivered.

We had Jesse as are server at 501 East (American style ) he was excellent. He was personal, professional and even made the time to connect with are two boys. Great amenities and good staff. We will definitely be back!

This is my favorite place to stay in South Florida (it used to be The Breakers) the whole family and our friends loved it. The Resort is very family friendly and still very posh. It is not a "Budget" hotel, it is a high end / full service Resort, so if that is what you are looking for give them a try you will not be disappointed!

Place is beautiful. Service is great. But ac was out called it in and nothing happened. Called again and said they will send a technician. Sad part is im staying in a suite for a whole week. Everything is over priced...should atleast have a free breakfest and have french toast n pancakes. This isnt the islands its florida but overall had a great time. Wont come back again or recommend it. There is alot better places and a better bang for the buck

We were here for a corporate event. The property is beautiful and the staff, EVERYONE we came across, were extraordinarily friendly and accommodating. Our room (Cloister) was clean, tastefully decorated and well stocked. My only issues with the room were lack of privacy with regard to the bathroom and the mini fridge was stocked so full that there wasn't room for my own stuff. Finally, through a vent we could clearly hear conversations coming from the adjoining room.

We ate on the property and the food was excellent, with a significant variety.

Beware however that while the property features some pretty cool boutique shops (as well as an art gallery), there is no sundries shop for the basics.

Gorgeous resort in so many ways. Food was terrible, haa. I'm sure they have good food somewhere in their, but the buffet we had was overpriced cafeteria food. Otherwise, awesome venue : )

Good luxury and beautiful views, near the sea and relatively of some shopping centers. Although they do their best to improve their service, they must learn to combine quality and speed. There it is.
