Museum in the old town with four floors and large rooms, perfect for installations, performances and other types of exhibitions as it is spacious. It has an elevator and it is free. Their workers are very friendly. More

The CAAM is one of those architectural gems that go unnoticed. Its exhibitions are interesting at times, although it is always worth taking a tour of its rooms, if only to escape the mediocrity, the glorification of ignorance and vulgarity that pollute the city and this country of porters.

It is a reference for the modern art of Gran Canaria. A must see, with temporary exhibitions of a very high level. On our last visit we could enjoy the exhibition of Cesar Manrique, what a joy !!

Futuristic interior, outside a Canarian old town palace. The special exhibition with works by the painter Paco Sanchez is impressive. Incidentally, was a recommendation from our hostess in the Casa de Vegueta (also absolutely recommendable!).

One of the few Local Government operated spaces dedicated to Art & Culture...

The city is missing more spaces dedicated to Art & Culture, in my opinion Government should be investing in this initiatives.

And leave building venues built to specs, both in size and grandiose, just to hold a few games of a on time event like a Word Championship (not the whole championship) to the private sector.

The exhibitions are very good and they have the pro that the entrance is free, the problem comes when we talk about the staff, when you visit the gallery you feel that they are fixing your eyes while you see the works of art or you are simply enjoying the dynamics that they prepare , especially in their skateboard and fingerboard exhibition, there is an excess of control and an incorrect treatment of people who are going to enjoy what they prepare, not to mention the ways in which they address attendees.

Minimalist modern art gallery in the heart of las Palmas old town, offering free entry to exhibitions from notable artists across four floors. Also has a roof terrace for events and a gift shop next door. A great place to spend an hour or two.

We went with my 4 year old son and the treatment received was unfortunate. One of the guards complained to the security officer because the child was not on the 4 floors of the building by the hand and it seems that it is strictly essential to have the child tied up inside the exhibition. I had to leave at the insistence and lack of empathy on the part of security. The behavior seemed excessive.

In the art center you can see works of all kinds, from photographic exhibitions to installations, which are usually quite original.
The center has a modern and minimalist aesthetic, it has a good presence.
The staff is quite correct and at the entrance they explain the theme of the works that there are.
On the top floor there is a terrace area, which I recommend going as it is a very nice area where you can sit down for a drink (they have vending machines) and look at the views of Vegueta.
It also has a conference room and a "living room" type at the top of the center.
On Wednesdays from 6pm the entrance is free.
