I drive an hour to have my hair done by Lenny. He is quite literally worth every single penny and then some. He is magic, and his wife Kathy is SO sweet and engaging. They both always make you feel welcome and like your family. Lenny knows I can't come as often as most clients, so he cuts and colors my hair in such a way that it looks good for MONTHS after I my visit. He always seems to know exactly what I want. My little girl goes to Alona, who has studied under Lenny. She cuts my daughters curly hair perfectly, which, if you have curly hair, you know can be a tall task! They are awesome!
Before going to Salon Zion I had always had a hard time finding the right fit with a stylist who could work with my hair. Since my hair can be tricky and have a mind of its own, I was very grateful I found a skilled and professional stylist in BRANDI!!! When I first met Brandi I was a bit anxious but she was able to clearly answer all my questions and concerns and explained exactly what we could do to create a perfect style, cut, and color for me. When we were done my hair was BEAUTIFUL!!! It was healthy and had a shine and bounce that impressed me as well as my friends. I am very grateful that I finally found a professionally skilled and caring stylist in Brandi. I now know that my hair has a home at Salon Zion. So, if Brandi can take care of me then she can definatly take care of all your stylist needs too.
I went to Salon Zion yesterday for the first time with a lot of apprehension. I get very nervous about getting my hair cut and always have because I have somewhat curly hair. I let them know this upon making my appointment. I got the pleasure of having Alona as my stylist and let me tell you, I am pleased and will be going back again. Not only did she give me all sorts of tips on my new journey of embracing my curly hair but she listened to what I wanted and put me at ease. I can't wait to go again already!

I asked a for a loose big perm not a spiral perm. That is so not what I got. My hair is bad I would never go back or even refer anyone their not even my worst enemy. I can t even do anything with it.
Update: Dear Lenny thank you for the offer but there is nothing that can be done. I don t need a hair cut as that will only make it worse. Your staff was kind and nice that was not the problem. The problem is my hair.

I can t recommend this salon enough. Brandi is my stylist and I drive an hour from where I live just to see her! It s worth it. She is so kind and makes you feel at ease. She understood what I wanted to do with my hair even with all the different ideas I gave her. The salon is so peaceful and relaxing too. It s such a treat when I go. This was my first experience with Lenny. He was hyped go be the best hair stylist in the area, but I did not get the value of a $100 haircut. His first cut was good, then on the second round of the cut he shattered my fine hair with a texturizing blade. I wanted an asymmetrical cut but he cut deep into layers I was trying to grow out for 9 months.
Lenny and his Team are a Unit. Every is precisely thought out and he monitors his Team and keep up with latest styles. Absolutely Phenomenal, worth every Dollar.
The place is wonderful...It is worth the visit. If your having trouble with your hair or want a different look, you can get it done here! You will love it!

One word to describe this place.. "AMAZING." I'm normally picky when it comes to people doing my hair but this place has yet to fail me. Lenny is top notch there and he runs the place pretty well. His staff is always very courteous, approachable, and fun! I had a great experience one day when Lenny was teaching his assistant a few tips while doing my hair because I got to learn a few things myself ;) It is rare to find this type of local business with employees that have a passion for this stuff and the staff definitely shows it!! This place is a diamond in the rough.

However, I was happy I took the plunge and went. Brandy was amazing and did an amazing job. I got a completely different hair style and she did fantastic. Lenny King has been taking care of me for the past 3 years. My late boyfriend, who was also a hairstylist, had Lenny King as his mentor, friend and colleague. So, when it was time to get a different stylist, I thought of Lenny and I am very glad I did. Him and his wife, Kathy, (she is the manager) are great people. Kathy is hospitable and kind. Lenny is the same and is a true expert (just check out his website). Marilyn (another stylist there) is great, too. She has done my hair a few times.
From the wine to the scalp massage (Elona!), the expertise of Lenny (his colorful storytelling of Ireland, too!), the fun of having two people blow drying your hair, I can relax knowing I am in good hands. Lenny will show you how to style your hair, as well. He has taught me so much. Also, my hair always grows out perfectly and I can go a while between cuts (although I like to change it up and he can literally do anything - being one of only 27 Master stylists in Paul Mitchell and having a formal education in fine arts, his shaping and color techniques are off the charts - so I go about every 8 weeks). I am relocating and they will be extremely difficult to replace. I will miss them, I am grateful to know them and to have had the pleasure of their service and friendship for the last few years and I look forward to visiting when I am in town. My hair dresser, Brandi is amazing. I have very thick, coarse hair with a slight S Wave only in a certain spot. It s hard to find someone who can cut my hair to lay right. Brandi nails it every time. She puts the perfect amount of layers, blends it all seamlessly and leaves it feeling thinner and more healthy. She even tells me the truth about whether to color it or not- at the expense of me not spending more money. Love her and have told all my friends about her- they are using her too and their hair looks fabulous!
Be sure to talk to stylist beforehand because Kathy the receptionist will take advantage and overcharge clients based on how much money she can get out of you. I found this kind of dishonesty so off putting that I just can't recommend this salon to anyone.
Best Salon I ve been to! Very hospitable and great service. My hair was a total project and Lenny and Paris made it look the best it has ever looked. I now feel confident, when before my hair was awful and difficult to manage. Lenny was able to keep my length while also making it super healthy! They really spent time on my hair and I couldn t thank them enough. Kathy was very welcoming and explained everything great; in person and over the phone. Very nice people who treat every client as family. Will be returning. Cannot recommend them enough! An experience like no other. Gave me everything I wanted and more!! Customer service is excellant. Private shampoo room, message chairs, and a 20ft color bar. You get to watch your color being formulated. Everything is explanied to you. They have prices for all bugets too! All haircuts are double cut!!. They are all teaching professionals. You learn how to really take care of your hair.
I love it there. I fly back from NYC to get my hair done from Lenny.

It was almost a year since my last haircut so my layers had grown out and the shape needed major TLC. Brandi did an awesome job! My hair is thick and naturally curly and it has been my experience that not everyone is an expert at cutting/styling curly hair. Brandi knew exactly what she was doing and blended my layers perfectly, giving me a refreshed shape and bouncy curls. She made me feel comfortable right from the start and took extra care. Highly recommend her especially for those with curly hair .
Brandi Crane and the staff at Salon Zion are amazing. Brandi has been my stylist for about a year, and when I look back on older pictures of my hair (before Brandi), I can see the difference. I have received many compliments on my hair cut and highlights. Also, the salon is calm and unpretentious. It's always a relaxing experience at Salon Zion.

I can t tell you how much I loved Salon Zion. I live very close and today was my first visit there and I had the pleasure of having stylist Alona cut and dye my hair. The experience was amazing nothing like any other salons. From booking my appointment on the phone to walking in I was greeted and welcomed with such great energy. The receptionist was very kind and the moment I came in she gave me a tour which was very sweet I think if I remember correctly her name was Kathy and she s the owner of the salon. My experience today with Alona was great my hair went from brittle bleached locks that had so much damage to a nice short natural brown hair look. The color and cut she did on me was phenomenal. And might I say Lenny the owner was also there and he was very kind and helpful with choosing a natural color that best compliments me. I will definitely be coming back to Salon Zion from now on to get a cut from Alona. The color of my hair is as natural as my daughters - think 7 year old blonde! - and the cut was exactly what I requested. I've never had a stylist take such care in meeting my needs and with such confidence. This is the best my hair's looked in over 10 years! She's an angel!!
