Given the fact that I spent over $500 for 4 people (2 Adults / 2 kids) to go to this park I feel as if they are missing the mark is a few regards. I will be as specific as possible so anyone reading this will know I am not a rambling complainer, in fact if you look at the majority of my reviews I try to call out the the best in a business. All businesses have opportunities to improve, but this one has a few more than average as noted from the experience I had yesterday.

1) The first issue we encountered was with our cabana. I spent $200 for use of this cabana for the day and when we arrived to the area our cabana area, there was no name and no attendant for that area. We finally found a person and he wrote our name on a cabana we chose and we thought we were good. However, one of the side benefits of the cabana is having an attendant that works in the area so you can order drinks, snacks, etc from. We NEVER, EVER saw the attendant again for the rest of the day. We were there from 930a to 430p. BIG disappointment. Further, there were about 100+ bees in the bushes only 2 feet from the rear of our cabana and we were constantly being run out. My kids especially could not relax as they have a greater fear of being stung. Not that I enjoy being stung.

2) When we came into the park initially and checked-in for our cabana and meals plan we were specifically told to take our printed tickets to the restaurant and they would give us our food arm bands for the day for our all meal day vouchers. This is a little of a pain, but ok. However, when lunch came we waited 30 minutes in the restaurant line and were told by the restaurant worker that there was an issue with the voucher. She stated we needed to go to "Guest Services" to get it resolved as she could not at the restaurant. While my family waited, I proceeded to the Guest Services. Upon arrival I found it to be closed and the blinds pulled shut. I tapped on the window with not response even thought I could see people inside. While trying to get someone to answer an employee approached to go in the door, so I asked him for help. He told me I was at the wrong place and needed to go to "Guest RELATIONS" NOT Guest SERVICES. To do this he said I would have to leave the park area to get there and come back in. I had already spend to much time on this issue at this point so I said, "Thank you" and went back to my family for a long awaited lunch as everyone was starving at this point. It was not worth it for me to spend any more time on this issue and the time with family was more important that the money lost. I don't get time very often and that is all the more reason this is disappointing. Problem was never resolved.

Good customer service can make up for a lot of things, including the parts of the park that are dated. However the newest and shiniest park will not work with the lack of customer service.

My suggestion to anyone going in the park is have all your ducks lined up before entering and don't expect everything to go as expected.

I had so much fun, they had a variety of attractions for those who didn't like big slides, and it very friendly. I just wish they carried bigger sizes of women's souvenir clothing in the gift shop. Sizing is limited, but I did find an awesome tank top in my size!

This place is always way too crowded and not very hygienic, lines are insanely long. They oversell the tickets to create chaos to then sell fast passes. I will never buy season passes here again. I recommend anyone whom reads this to steer clear.

Great place for summer, the ticket prices is reasonable, but the prices for food, parking even the locker is too much, especially for poor people like me, I have the pass but because of the prices I don't know how many times I can go with my kids

We spent the day at adventure island (at least until thunderstorms closed down the slises). Compated to its SeaWorld counterparts, adventure island was dated, not as well maintained, and had a less enthusiastic staff. The parking area was adequate, but exit routes need to be better posted.

Went down to have a good time before deployment with my family, and the female at the ticket counter was 100% rude. She had an attitude and was very unhelpful. The female helping us was named Cherie. This is the worst service I have ever experienced and will never be back.

Needs to do much better... I went with my family thinking because you had to make reservations they would not be allowing too many people into the park. The park was more crowded that ever. No one was practicing social distancing, the staff was not enforcing it and when you were following instructions around the park and staying on the marked lines the person behind you was not. And when you asked them to back up they got an attitude with you stating no one else is doing it.

It's pretty small, and looks run-down. Many of the slides snag at your suit or have rough segments that hurt your backside. Full of rude people, as well. But overall; a nice, lazy way to spend a hot summer afternoon.

Definitely not what it used to be, some good, some bad. Prices have skyrocketed and although their new locker ststem by best lockers is great that's pricey as well. Customer service wasnt anything to rave about either.

All of the Busch Gardens theme parks are great, and Adventure Island is no exception. They are always clean, the employees are great, and it is a super cheap way to have fun during the hot FL summer. Tickets are $55 for a day, or just get the two park annual pass, includes parking. Sometimes its fun to leave work and just float in the lazy river for a few hours to decompress.

Most of the rides were closed because they were under staffed at this season so only the really scary or the kiddies rides were open which was kinda a bummer but we made the best of it. It started to rain so they closed all the rides down but did give us s complimentary pass good for a year because of it which we will go back only if we know every ride is open. The lines were short and the water was nice. But I feel that if they have more than half their rides closed they should let you know before you book your tickets

We went yesterday and spend almost $300.00 we got there and it was raining ,waitting for an hour and continue raining we went to ask for a refund right away and we were told no refund and we can come back next day. We decided to retun next day and we were told we had to pay again parking lot i told them they should honor the parking since we just got there they didn't honored bad customer service first time visiting and we aren't returning next time. We should stay at Orlando area they do honor if something comes up like this.Right away i can tell it was going to be a bad experience just by judging employees and customer service right away before entering the park dad choice to select this place. I never review a place this is my first review and i did this because i work serving people and in our office customer service comes first we make sure our patients leave our place satisfied and return again. I spoke to 3 different managements and same they just dont care about people returning and have a good expedience. Bad Customer Service.

There was no 'wait time' to let us know the guess on how long we would have to wait for the slides, and the 'wave' pool was on and off I believe every 10 minutes, not a consistent wave. So you had to wait a whole 10 min just for the waves to start again.& Vanish point was not all that, & deff not a 40 nor 70 foot drop. We had fun though.

It was our first time going overall it was fun and not too crowded. I believe the lockers were $15 which is crazy, obviously i didnt rent one because of the price. But just pack light and keep an eye on your things. The slides were fun and my kids had a blast. We'll be returning soon. Oh and we had water shoes on the whole time but I heard the floor was very hot so keep that in mind.

As far as water parks go, Adventure Island is definitely worth a visit. I wish the wave pool had stronger waves, but it was fun (and probably better for the not so strong swimmers). It's directly across the street from Bush Gardens, so making a weekend of the two is a no brainier.

ADVENTURE ISLANDS IS THE BOMB we've had season passes since 2012 we always have a blast certain times there are crowds of bad kids there but take into consideration it's located in the oldest part of Tampa and the entry fees are rather cheap for entry .... We've always had a ton of fun when going never ever had rude employees everyone was always very nice and helpful DO not let these negative reviews stray you from having some fun in the sun it's a great place for kids and adults !!!! Food is cheap and good buy a cup for 8 bucks get free refills for the entire time you go there all year or for 2 years how ever long you keep the cup overall it's very fun ... No negative reviews and I've been going for years now ...

I took my kids there for the day. We all had a blast. I wish they had more slides for smaller kids. My daughter was only a half inch too short to be able to go on the big slides. But besides that, we all had a wonderful time there. A very memorable day.

Horrible...I know the park has nothing to do weather, but the park was shut down as soon as we got in, so we went to eat an it took 45 mins to get the food. Please keep in mind i have even been in the park an 1 hour yet. We ate our food they opened the park back up but by the time we finished it was shut down again...OMG..I was so over it by then. They didnt want to give a refund but they did give some comp. tickets to come back. At this moment i dont want to go back....

Located in Tampa, Florida, this water park is the perfect destination for families and thrill-seekers alike. With over 30 acres of water attractions to choose from, there's something for everyone at Adventure Island.

One of the biggest draws of Adventure Island is its wide variety of water slides. From high-speed drops to winding twists and turns, there are slides here that will satisfy even the most adventurous visitors. The park's Splash Attack area features smaller slides and interactive play areas designed specifically for kids under 54 inches tall.
