Low crowds which was nice. However, a few slides were down. Make sure you check before going. Overall still a nice park and friendly staff.

Long lines everywhere you look, paid for premium parking, got overflow parking instead. Had to wait an hour to get in the park because they only had two lines open
Fun water park. Visited in April. No lines to get to rides, friendly staff. Great variety of water attractions offered. Definitely recommend.
This place has really gone down the drain from what I remember not impressed by it at all
Great but some rides closed and lockers are $15!!! Leave clothes in car to change. Don't rent locker unless you want to pay $15
Adventure Island is a blast. But its not even open for summer yet dont know why I recieved a que to post an experience. But normally the place is great and I am a grand father but love going to this place.
The staff at the gate are rude and unhelpful. If it was up to them, they would be sending everyone to Guest Services. They tried to tell me that is where I needed to go. Yet my ticket on my phone worked when a manager came out.
The park it self isnt bad. You would think in 2018 they would have figured out how to keep the ground cool for the childrend feet ( who am I kidding, adults feet too, it was hot and its October).
They took away the option to be able to bring in your own food and coolers! Which was smart for their pockets but suckes, since that was the top reason they were in top.
Plenty of parking and easy access to park. Staff was friendly and helpful. Corona precautions are in place so masks and temperatures are required to get in. 6' spacing and ride capacity limits. Some rides are closed due to low staffing or work being done. Still had a great day and the ride lines weren't terrible. Get there early to avoid that.
Adventure Island is a Family oriented fun place to visit. Lots of activities to do and of course tons of water. Your family, kids, friends or whoever you would like to bring will enjoy themselves!
We've been passholders for many years and have usually enjoyed visiting with family and friends since all of the kids were very little until they were teens. There is something for everyone when all of the rides are open and the park is fully staffed which is a bit hit or miss. We are terribly disappointed with the new policy banning all coolers from the park. We will be visiting less this year, and the policy is a contributing factor. The food offered at the park is very high priced.
I do love this place. But the family and I went yesterday for Island Nights thinking it would be like Busch Gardens Summer Nights with a bit more going on. So after a few hours we left.
Wish we had stayed at Busch Gardens. There isn't enough seating and the lines for all day dining were horribly long without much selection. I would recommend the Turkey legs, but they aren't on the meal plan. The slides are nice. Remember to BRING YOUR OWN TOWEL. Which is a real downer to find out after you have arrived at the park & especially if you stay at a hotel.
40 min wait to ride anything. 20 min lines to eat or drink anything.
It was good but where are some flaws some of the slides weren't open Foods very expensive. The Quick Pass wasn't what it was supposed to be. After 12 way too many people.
Loved this place! Great fun for kids and grown ups!
Always a great time. New slide was a lot of fun. Keep building it up!
Always a fun time, especially during hot summer days!
When it rained or lightning, the park closed for many hours. They don't refund your money.
Had a great time Adventure Island met my daughter and grandkids there what A-blast.
The line to get your bags checked is horrible. Then the line to get a ticket horrible and then you go to another line to give your ticket to get in the park. The kids water part, water was a tan color. Other than that we stayed about 3 hours and had fun. Wish it wasn't so crowded but it was hot outside and they have pools.
Fun place to get wet and spend a few hours. Food and drinks are expensive. Some of the slides are out of order. Generally a good time.
A cool water park, but ... here are a few positive and negative comments.
+ lots of cool slides
+ lots of lying areas
+ Price as a combination ticket ok
+ nice staff
- In the low season 2/3 of all attractions are closed, which I can understand in principle, but one could at least introduce a rotation of the open slides
- Eating in is prohibited, inside it is exorbitantly expensive (but it is the case in many parks)
- you shouldn't do anything that is fun (sliding together, somersaults while diving, water-catching)
- Lifeguards on every corner, you feel permanently watched
Conclusion:
In the combination ticket ok, otherwise no.
I buy the 3 ticket for one days Then soon of we enter they told us the ride close for the rain I go back to the supervisor for Return the ticket he told me We can't refund it
It was really great, we went on a kind of a cold day. So the park didn't close early. But there are no lines everybody was super nice even know the weather didn't suit it
Amazing slides + other things but, food is very expensive
Nice place to spend the day, for both adults and children.Excellent.
Needs maintenance, small park but enjoyed it, had a blast with the family.
go early in the day or mid week to avoid crowds, but avoid afternoons and weekends, holidays as it gets crazily busy.
Nice Day. Nice Crowd. Until the Rain flooded half the park with disgusting sewage. I really dont see how they are gonna get the place cleaned up & sanitized properly...RIGHT AWAY!?!
It's a small park. It was clean and since it's
the end of the season it was wonderfully uncrowded. Two rides were closed , most restaurants were closed, and when we finally decided to have cocktail, the bar was already closed, more than an hour before the park closed. Good day, but could have been better.
The park for the part of having fun in the rays is good, what I do not like is that you can not pass food and that you pay for the food included in the entrance ticket and when you go to eat it is not all that one decee and Up to an hour later you can not eat at any of the 4 restaurants that touch you, they also charge you the parking lot $ 22 apart from having paid the entrance on line or at the door, what kind of effrontery is that ??, there are other parks better and q you can take your food the amount you want and the parking you do not have to pay because it is supposed to be the place where the person will visit and that is not fair, large lines to mount the rays and much time is lost.
the fun games but the overly expensive food 16pcs of chicken strips for $ 42 dollars with fries and 5 sodas a hamburger $ 13.99
I love this place to enjoy with the family, swimming pool, slides, good music, security, visit it you will like the entrance is cheap
It was my first time there. Really enjoyed the wave pool. Next time I want to go to the Lazy River too. Lots of chairs. Also had a sandy, beachy area. Lockers are $15 each. Buy yourself a waterproof carrier for your phone and money and be done with it. A lot of people were there still after work. However, it was a hot 95 degrees out as well. Will definitely return.
All prices too high, from parking $25, the entry and the food prices are outrageous.
Great family water park. We've had season passes for years. The new ride was close but all others open & no lines on a Friday evening. I don't like the shorter summer hours. What happened to island nights?!?
Had a blast we went on a Thursday there was hardly anybody there a blast
Absolutely love this place and so do the boys..great place for little ones..
Was not happy due to incorrect information on the website. So only got to enjoy the park for two hours due to incorrect hours posted on the website, as well as prices for locker rentals posted were also incorrect.
Great place lots of fun but pretty expensive but it's worth it you only live once so you might as well enjoy yourself
Nice theme park
I think it could have more family attractions. It only has like 8 in total.
The park is good, not to be big but everything else is Perfect.
Love this place. We had fun all day today. Colossal curl - must try)) vanish point too)) you will have a lot of fun on this rides. The place is great for both children and adults.
I spent an hour on the lazy river, my nipples are on fire because I always forget to put sunscreen on them. But there's a lot of fun rides otherwise!
Let me preface this by saying this is the first time I ve visited Adventure Island in years. My expectations were already low from the last time I visited however I was somehow still disappointed. Visiting as we come out of quarantine, I expected limitations such as wearing masks and limited capacity. I was glad to see that adventure island had implemented contactless payment options but Apple and google pay are not accepted. In practice the crowds were large and the limited capacity seemed pointless as parts of the park were blocked off, making even the limited crowd large. Having to present a park ticket as well as a reservation seems redundant and highly inefficient.
In all, my expectations were low yet I was still disappointed.
Is a great place to spend the day relax... Defenetly a good exercise for the legs with all the stairs, but is worth it!!
Love to take my 8year old son. Big enough to have it all but small enough I'm not afraid to allow my son to go alone for a while.
So much fun with short lines and nice weather like today.
Nice place to cool off during the day. Lunch can use more diversity though...
So many key rides from the past have been removed and replaced with either a beach setting or a slight better ride but, not much better
Water shoes are HIGHLY recomended!!! The cement will burn your feet, especially in the fl heat. Buy them before arriving, they're 25 bucks inside the park.
Just a heads up for anyone thinking about going. Due to Covid, there are NO quick queues open. And the ride lines were just as long, if not longer, than before Covid. We also counted (at least) 3 of the slides were closed. You have to wait in a long line to go in the Lazy River and even then everyone MUST be in a tube. Adventure Island, you post about 50% off ticket prices on your site but give none of these closure details. Shame on you!
New and fun experience for the whole family, but the items or over priced
Awesome park. Gets crowded sometimes but that's to be expected for a water park in a florida summer.
the flooring is honestly so painful to walk on barefoot like most people around the park do. i don t have any frequent pains in my feet so that s definitely saying something. the rides were pretty far apart as well, other than that and the crazy pricing, great park.
Had great time... Kids had a lot of fun... Just wish they closed later than 5pm since sunset is after 8pm
Adventure island is without a doubt a fun place to visit, but, when you are a tourist, their policies and actions towards dealing with bad weather can ruin anyone's vacation experience. Recently my family from out of state came to adventure island. There were some afternoon rainstorms predicted on the weather but we were cognasent of them and planned to eat lunch during the storm. However, we didn't count on them deciding to close the park after the storm passed even with clear skys. To give more reason for them to stay open, Adventure Island's counterpart park, Busch Gardens, reopened imidately once the storm passed. Because Adventure Island closed four hours early for no good reason our time at the water park was horrible and we won't be going back anytime soon. From experience, skip Adventure Island on your vacation plan if there is any chance of rain, not only to avoid getting kicked out of the park early but also to avoid getting your children's hopes up and then terribly disappointing.
Great place to play in the water. Good food, just a bit pricey.
Living in Tampa we have come quite a bit. They need to have a better system to get checked in. First be prepared to stand in line at the start of your day if you order Quick Pass, Meal Pass or if you rent a Cabana. The lines are in the hot sun and you would think that the park would put covering over the lines at guest services. If you dont rent a Cabana and you dont get there early good luck finding a seat. So get there early. However once you finally get settled the park is a lot of fun. The food is better than most other parks including Disney. The park is clean and rides are maintained and almost always open. Get the Quick Pass its so worth it, it cuts you standing in line by over half the time you would stand in line without a Quick Pass. If your gonna be there all day the Meal pass is also worth the money. It adds $20 to your ticket but pays for itself after the first time you eat. Overall its a good park and worth the trip if you pay the extra money for the Qucik pass.
Real nice water park my kids love it. Tip 1 get there early to get a place to sit Tip 2 people will move your items from your lounge chair and take your chair. It s extremely crowded in the summer And not enough places to sit.
I love this park! Its close to home and ive been coming here since i was a kid. Now i can bring my kid to the park and she gets to experience it like i did. Except for the slides have gotten way better since i was a kid. Tons of water slides to get crazy and tons of chill spots to just vide. I love the lazy river and the splash pads for my daughter. Even when this place is busy you can usually always find a spot to chill with plenty of security around to make sure your stuff is safe.
Your life vest must be coast guard approved or else you have to use the ones they provide. If theyre busy and theyre all out, your out of luck. Make sure you come prepared with towels and sunscreen as its expensive in park.
Everything was great. Temperatures taken at the entrance. Mask can come off once inside. Only bad thing is they wont serve you at the concession stands without a mask.
Busch Gardens Adventure Island: Tampa's Premier Water Park
If you're looking for a fun-filled day in the sun, look no further than Busch Gardens Adventure Island. Located in Tampa, Florida, this water park is the perfect destination for families and thrill-seekers alike. One of the biggest draws of Adventure Island is its wide variety of water slides. From high-speed drops to winding twists and turns, there are slides here that will satisfy even the most adventurous visitors. Some of the most popular slides include Colossal Curl, a four-person raft ride that takes riders through a series of twists and turns before dropping them into a massive funnel; Vanish Point, which features two drop slides that send riders plummeting down nearly vertical drops; and Wahoo Run, a family-friendly slide that winds through tunnels and around curves.

The park's Splash Attack area features smaller slides and interactive play areas designed specifically for kids under 54 inches tall. And if you're looking to relax after all that excitement, head over to Rambling Bayou – a lazy river where you can float along on an inner tube while taking in views of lush tropical foliage.
