Stayed two nights at this beautiful hotel for a wedding in two different rooms. The first was a standard room. It was very clean and tidy. There were patio doors opening out to a communal path and gardens. The second was a privilege room, the difference was immediately felt, with much more space, a bigger tv and huge bed! There was also a Nespresso machine, but sadly no pods. It was fine because the coffee with breakfast was very good. You have a good selection for breakfast. Traditional, continental, fruit, cereal and porridge. The staff were amazing and very attentive throughout. I would definitely recommend a stay here in the beautiful Box Hill area.

Burford Bridge
Went to a wedding celebration here, great food, good facilities and friendly, efficient staff. All made for a lovely experience
2 adults and 2 kids. 5 and 3 years old stayed for 1 night. Room had no toliet roll so had to call reception to bring up. Toilet bin was not changed and had someone contact lenses case and rubbish the bin. The fridge had someone's yogurt. There was no Tea bag or milk in the room as it was not topped up from previous guest. The bedside lamp sitting on a glass -glass was not clean. Reception offered complimentary drink for the cleanliness. Did not offer to move us nor get a cleaner to clean the room. They just replaced the missing items. On check out I mentioned how disappointed I was and that at a time like this they need to be on top of hygiene. The lady on reception had a blank face and seemed not to take the matter seriously when I was talking to her. The hotel was nice but was always on edge with the children due to lack of trusting how clean the room was. Have sent feedback on your booking site. No response back from anyone.
Friendly staff and lovely hotel. Perfect for a weekend getaway.
Lovely Tithe Barn for events. Lovely hotel, nice decor, very friendly staff, food good especially the home made ravioli! Nice bedrooms and lovely walks right on the doorstep. A very nice place to stay with the family and good for events too. Outdoor pool if the weather allows.
Beautiful surrounding scenery with room overlooking the garden. Pool and other facilities was lovely. Staff were friendly and attentive. On site restaurant does a very good Sunday lunch
Stayed at the Burford Bridge Hotel for nearly 6 weeks checked out today. Just wanted to say a BIG thank you to all the staff and the House keeping! All of you have been so nice to me and my family. All the staff that I met there were all so friendly and welcoming. And if we had any problem they would help even when I had to do my daughters Easter bonnet and I never had scissors they came and gave me some they had. Thank you for a pleasant stay and I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Rooms are always cleaned & fresh towels, biscuits and water provided every day. Breakfast was lovely also. A big thank you to all the wonderful staff. Xx
Room was small but comfortable. Most importantly, the bed was very comfortable. Enjoyed the breakfast. Staff were pleasant and helpful.
Had a quick lunch here on a walk, really cosy place on a hot day
I've stayed a here a few times now, because of business etc. The bar and restaurant are very good. Breakfast is nice. A smart and welcoming lobby etc. The rooms are fine. Some better than others, but I haven't had a bad stay. A bit of a smarten up around the corridors and it'll be perfect.
Here on a business trip. The staff have been very friendly and very efficient. The conference facility was functional and brightened by the Christmas decorations. The meal we had was based along side the two other Christmas functions going and was very nice indeed. Nothing not to like from me.
I paid for my parents to have afternoon tea here today and sadly this time, it was very disappointing. Poor service, the bread was dry on the sandwiches and the cakes were of poor quality and the scones appeared to have been microwaved. This was brought up with a member of staff who apologised and said it will be better next time...! My parents really look forward to afternoon tea here and go quite regularly but today's experience wasn't good and I very much doubt given the response they will return.
Lovely venue for a wedding. Very over priced on food and drinks. Not 5 star hotel for this chain group
Lovely hotel in a great area ,behind the Beautiful hills of surrey. Good breakfast and very clean room.
Nice looking place, bar was expensive but its expected from this kind of place. Staff were nice. The outdoors looked very nice.
Good location confortable King Size bed room quite spacious thats all for positive.
Photographed weddings here. The venue is modern and pretty.
Not as good as it was previously. The food has dropped in quality. Service was a little slow.
Went for a celebration lunch for my Mum's 80th. The food was amazing and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
It is an old place, but it is possible to walk around. But because it is a wooden building, sound insulation is weak.
Nice relaxed atmosphere, very smart looking hotel. Staff were very friendly but the drinks were quite expensive.
Very friendly service - everything done with a welcoming smile. Especially appreciated the well-organised coat check & umbrella stand. Beautiful decor too.
Used to pop in for coffee to break long journey but haven't much since Cobham Services opened. Very nice hotel, delicious food and beverages, especially good coffee. Good facilities. Friendly and professional staff. Nice to sit in lounge and watch world go by for a little while
My function was a wake which was well catered for. Great location.
Room was lovely and Service was excellent. Will definitely stay again. Food was good we had meal in lounge bar all good. Breakfast good choice and good service. Pauline ch
Not good for business travelers. The hotel hosted parties 3 nights during the work week where they blasted music with bass shaking my bed and drunk people screaming and laughing. This went until midnight each time and left me sleep deprived and annoyed throughout the week. Will never stay here again and will warn my coworkers who travel to Leatherhead. If you're going to host events at a hotel you must sound proof the room or have the banquet hall far from the rooms.
Idyllic location, friendly staff, clean and hotel managing Covid 19 very well
Very nice room, staff super friendly with safe practices all over the hotel. Only slight disappointment is to pay for a cooked breakfast only to get a coffee in a sachet.. there is some confusion between the listing on booking.com and the hotel (whose to blame I'm not sure) because there was no mini bar. I would say in summary if you want to be in the area of box hill which is stunning this hotel is a safe bet. Edit: In response to the hotel's reply to my review, not sure about the coffee issue as coffee shops are open a plenty and are perfectly safe
Had our wedding here last year, came back for our anniversary stay and still love it. Planning on returning yearly!
Really good venue. Could not recommend highly enough
Relaxing atmosphere, and friendly staff. Elegant rooms.
Really nice location at the foot of Box hill which offers some testing walks, or along the river mole. The Hotel has immaculate reception, well maintained rear gardens and a great outdoor swimming pool (heated). Where the low rating comes from is the food service (ordered from the bar menu) on two visits. On this visit one of the orders was the salmon fillet with crushed and tender stem broccoli, what came out was cold potato (flavourless) and hard cold broccoli, the salmon appeared ok but very small. The meal was taken back and returned piping hot having been microwaved including the salmon. The other meal was fish and chips with a side order of onion rings. The chips were dry, the fish was wet and mushy really disappointing.
Great hotel fantastic location at the bottom of Box Hill can't wait to go again in May before I go on my first cruise
Had a very pleasant stay here for three nights. Room was very clean and quiet. The bed was large and comfortable. Bathroom was spotless, the bath was a bit small but nice to have. Paid a fair bit extra for the breakfast which was worth it. Decent selection of hot and cold food. Only scrambled eggs guaranteed as they only cook to order when it isn't busy (you just have to ask the staff and it depends on how the cooks are feeling I think!). So we only got fried eggs one day, although they did provide veggie sausages each time we asked. Swimming pool is amazing; very large and surrounded by steep forested hills, feels almost tropical! Dorking a short bus ride away which amazingly you can use your Oyster card on (it's one of the furthest out TfL buses).
Nice hotel we used as a base to explore Surrey hills from
The hotel itself is fine but unremarkable, and who does a full English-style breakfast buffet with no potato products? But the gardens and situation at the foot of Box Hill are gorgeous.
Lovely room. Helpful service. Good value despite covid restrictions.
Outstanding hotel, warm welcome, swift and professional service, great drinks, cozy atmosphere, well kept gardens and great location!
Nice interior and appearance of the place, especially the outside area. Bit pricey for what it is. The bartender is not very cheerful and messed up our order. Food is good though, decent sized portions.
Nice waiter service without the costs a lovely venue after visiting BOX HILL
Good location for a drink in the bar (the hot chocolates are delicious as are the cocktails)
A great hotel with great service at the higher end of the scale. A great place for afternoon tea and posh meals. Not cheap though.
Good and irritating aspects here. The hotel itself is an old haunt but never stayed there before. Booked the valentines package which was very good value. Hotel has been tastefully refurbished and everyone was helpful. Upgraded room was just what you would want, overlooking the lawn/pool area. Evening menu didn't initially excite but all courses very enjoyable. Breakfast in room very good. Only "issues" were delay in seating us for the evening meal because a larger group had beaten us by minutes, and a change to breakfast time and check out time, but we didn't suffer for it, so in the grand scheme of things just meant four stars. Would recommend but can't compere to similar hotels as usually only do b&b. A very serene setting with Box hill as a backdrop.
We got married here in April 2018, using the main barn, bar areas, 45 bedrooms, and the grounds outside. From start to finish the whole experience of working with the team at the hotel was fantastic. They looked after our every need and the day itself was perfect. The food is the hotels highlight and our guests kept commenting how good the meals were. The rooms were extremely comfortable, and the gardens were well kept and tidy. Great stay, highly recommended.
Would highly recommend this place, Dorking is beautiful and a great place to walk/hike. The rooms were very comfortable and warm, the staff were helpful and friendly, and breakfast was quite decent to boot.
Overall the hotel is very pretty and well kept. We stayed on the Superior room but was a bit smaller than expected. Also we applied for the upgrade for the Privilege rooms but couldn t accommodate the extra sofa ved (for my daughter) so don t bother if it s more than 2. Our superior room had a little balcony with private small garden which was nice. The outside area is beautiful and probably would be amazing during the summer with the big outside pool.
The location of this hotel is special. The rooms are old. It smells partly unpleasant.
Extremely small conference room. So not ideal for business meetings. I haven't slept at the hotel so I cannot judge on that part. The food was good and the staff is very friendly.
Evening party followed but Saturday morning Parkrun at Denbies vineyard and hotel allowed me a takeaway breakfast as rushing off. Lovely venue.
Very nice, was here for my cousins wedding, great venue, good breakfast in the morning. Would recommend
Their Tithe Barn is a great place for a wedding reception and their staff are very accomodating
Had a great day with the family to celebrate a special birthday. The three course lunch I had was lovely. Staff were attentive, friendly and provided an efficient yet discreet service. Hotel and garden was nice and clean. Overall a very positive experience.
Ideal location! Great size rooms with all the facilities. Parking available and staff were amazing! Both Luke and Andrew were always helpful and went above and beyond. Highly recommend it!
Very pleasant stay Helpful and efficient staff Comfortable rooms
Fantastic hotel, unfortunately restaurants not open right now, but friendly staff and our room was fabulous, well worth the stay
The staff members were very good and attentive at all times. The staff are in fact a credit to the hotel group considering that the hotel is allowing bookings to go ahead at what appears to be full capacity whilst maintaining only a skeleton staff group. Why? Recently there was no chef either which meant food was extremely limited and hot food was only available for a two hour slot in the day with a 90 minute wait. The let down is whoever is responsible for the media as the most up to date information regarding which facilities are available are not on the website at the time of booking. For example: Robes, slippers, hot breakfast, pool facilities are advertised and none are available. Although we did not complain we did witness frustration which is unfair towards the staff and could be prevented by a simple clarification message on the website. The location is very good for any travellers who wish to explore Surrey hills. Would have given the rating as 3 stars but the service received from the staff who were present raises it to 4.
Staff was nice and the location was good. Unfortunately, the room wasn't clean at all - particularly the carpet. We definitely expected something better given the price we paid and also considering the current situation. Breakfast was a bag with packed sweets from the grocery shop.
A charming hotel in a beautiful setting. I would recommend it for anyone looking to organise their wedding reception in the area. I photographed a wedding there recently and really enjoyed it. Great facilities, lovely barn, delicious food and attentive and professional staff.
Attended a wake at the hotel yesterday. Staff were excellent. Recommended location
We was at wedding here, was so beautiful. The staff was very friendly and professional Highly recommend for wedding here
2nd visit, service still amazing! Great Afternoon Tea, the fire was lit and nice and cosy in the lounge.
Lovely experience, breakfast is more than worth for continental or pay extra and get extra. Clean tidy rooms, very friendly stuff but they should use less loud hoover in the mornings.
