Second time we have hired with bunk campers in a year and both times we had a great trip with a really nice, clean and well equipped motorhome (aeroplus model). This second time we had slight technical issue with our shower and the support and communication we received was excellent. Although not ideal for us to have an issue during our holiday, I was very impressed with the way Lee handled our issue. Equipment can break at anytime for no apparent reason, so I can t fault them as they couldn t foresee the issue we had but the customer service in dealing with it was excellent and I think this is the sign of a good company. They had a mobile engineer visit us on site within a day and arranged it around out day as to not inconvenience our holiday. It is nice to know there is still a company out there that looks after their customers without the need of some lengthy complaints process! We will be hiring again next year!
I'm very disappointed with Bunk Campers. I've used similar companies in other places in the past and I have been keeping an eye on their relocations in the lead up to my holiday because it'd be somewhat convenient but not necessary. On Monday they advertised a bunch of relocations for the next two weeks. I immediately called to arrange a relocation Campervan. I got their answering machine. I left a message. No call back. I emailed. I got a reply stating they're very busy at the moment and to keep trying to call but in the mean time which relocations am I looking at? I replied. No response. I finally got through today (3 days later) to someone who clearly didn't want to help and wasn't interested in trying to work something out (most likely because it's 15 minutes before they closed). I was basically told: "If you can't be here tomorrow we'll arrange one of our drivers to do the relocation." when I replied with the above they said "well that wouldn't make your flight arrive any earlier". The advertised price is minimal but when you add the cost of full insurance on top, not having to pay a driver to deliver it, plus the potential for a return customer?! What is their goal? To make money? Not with that poor customer handingl approach!
Quick review. Good location, staff were very friendly and helpful. It was really good having the app on the phone to see how all the features work on the Fiat we hired. NOTE it is worth taking the extra insurance for bumps and wing mirrors if your going to places like Scotland with a big mobile home and small roads. They were also very good at COVID cleaning and procedures. Knocking off a star as it takes up to 28 days for the return of the deposit which is not ideal. Otherwise great.
Staff very accomadating and friendly. Vehicles all seem to be of exxcellent standard. Can be expensive ifall exrtas included.
Recently booked with bunk campers and because of Covid complications had to postpone booking 1 day after collecting the camper. The staff Paul and Amy were super helpful, flexible and made what could have been very stressful Situation not at all. Thanks folks you are a credit to your organisation and I wouldn t hesitate for a second to recommend you!
