Thought this was a "hole in the wall" place. I'm very glad I stopped here for lunch. The server was very personable and a joy to be around. The food was absolutely amazing!

First visit . The service was great and restaurant was abiding by state rules for covid 19 . The food was hot and arrived quick. Not by far the best Barbecue I've had. However was good tender and fresh. The smoked brisket had just a slight taste of smoke. If you are looking for a safe place to eat this is the spot. It was good but not awesome. Just my thoughts.

Buddy's has the best wings in Huntington. I would also recommend their nachos supreme (we prefer the chicken over the pork). But the best item in the menu is the potato salad. I don't even like potato salad. I actually dislike it, but I always get it from Buddy's because it is so good. Staff in friendly and down to earth, and the atmosphere is definitely casual and comfortable. If you like barbeque joints, Buddy's is the place to go.

During the 2020 lockdown of American citizens, this drive through pickup of my order for dinner worked out really well. Good BBQ always. Had a brisket salad. Brisket was a little dry, but considering these times, it was all good. Carry on and be safe out there.

Service is sometimes slow, but it's the best BBQ in town. Their sweet tea is sweet, their sauces are good, and their pulled chicken is out of this world.

I was here for a track and field competition and decided to go over. Service was prompt, the people were friendly , and the root beer was ice cold! Thanks John & Brooke!

If you want catering Buddy's is the answer. We had great BBQ pulled pork with all the fixins and sides and the food was excellent. They delivered everything hot and set up the food and the whole crowd loved it. We will do this again.

Casual and Laid Back
I have always Loved sitting on the Deck on warm days with great selection of beer, wine and cocktails and not to mention their excellent barbeques, sandwiches, ribs that melt in your mouth along with other options! Family friendly with large Screen TVs for Sports, Summer fun with weekly Bike Night with a Band! Friendly and helpful Wait Staff! Descent Price's! Can't beat it if you Love a Relaxing, Excellent Barbeque and all around wholesome Family Fun!

Great food and the prices are decent. It was quick service and the staff was very friendly. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area. They have some really good wings as well

The best food in Huntington. Best wait staff, service. Also the best sweet tea in West Virginia. Potato salad is in high demand, it's original, tastes great.
And the Buffalo Wings, definitely the best in Huntington. Ask for Kayla or Kayla, lol.

Our waitress was good but the food was terrible. Burger came out completely pink and manager said it was pink because of the lighting . Do not recommend

Well First if your going thru the drive thru call ahead !!!!!,But once I received my food ,I must admit it was very good,The ribs were tender,and the brisket sandwiche was very good, the coleslaw( better then Bob evans)was very good and the potatoe salad was the best I have had in a while,now jewel city seafood has good potatoe salad but I am sorry to say i think BABqe wins the potatoe salad catagory

Half chicken. Way too tough to eat. Beans were tasteless. Sorry but a waste of money

Decent food, but know they are not the friendliest. We have eaten there fairly regularly over the years, and our car was towed literally within minutes of parking recently. We went across the street to take care of something before eating and car was gone. The tow company said they watch the parking lot, because obviously they aren't too busy with customers, and if you don't immediately go in, they tow. Common courtesy would suggest that if they have time to eagle eye the lot, they would have a second to ask our intentions. Even after speaking to management, they sincerely did not care that we were planning on eating there and had been customers for years. Such a great way to welcome long time, or any, customers to your establishment. There were plenty of open parking spots, so that was not the issue. They just lost a lot more than our tow fee. We're done.

I've never had a good meal there. The meat is cold and dried out. The salads are wilted and sad. If you drown it in enough sauce or dressing you can choke it down, but it's definitely a below-average BBQ place, compared to anyplace else in town.

I'm an admitted BBQ snob. I try not to be, but being from Memphis I am accustomed to smoky, dense meat. Sauce is then added, and slaw, on a bun. Buddy's does not make a sandwich, and the sauce is cooked with the meat. You get it served like a school cafeteria, which is not very appetising.
Still, the flavour, such as it is, was not bad. The sides are unimaginative and generally flavourless. I gave three stars for the cheery wait staff.
Decor is nice looking and suitable for the menu, but there is a limited choice of draft beers.

Food was just eh, brisket had zero flavor. Server lady was drunk & knocking over sruff. Not the buddys from 10 years ago. That was over a year ago and have no intentions of going back. It's a shame because our entite club (125 people) used to meet there and grab dinner every other friday night. Such a shame.

One of the best restaurant in Huntington for BBQ. Food is great. Recommends pull pork sandwich and Texas beef brisket sandwich. Potato salad is also a must have. Small restaurant atmosphere with friendly service staffs. Out door patio is available. Price are very reasonable.

Food tasted good and fresh, staff was friendly and prompt.

Haven't been in a while that it was excellent last time I was there

food was great, no complaints spent 81, went home checkd my chase account and was charged an additional 71$
too late now cant call gonna try to get my money back

I ordered a combo platter, with mac and cheese & mashed potatoes. The brisket was over cooked, cold,and dry. Both of the sides are super small and flavorless. I was so disappointed.

I live beside them, the workers actively hang around outside and mess around.
They also play the worst music I've heard in my life.

Its pretty good, but not great. Thats about all I can say about this place. If you are craving BBQ, its fine. If you are craving really good BBQ, I would avoid. Lazy teenagers who work there too.

We got our food home and not happy. The sides taste like it had soap in it. The sides were small and was missing half our order. Called the store talked to a MANAGER she said well that's not out fault ! How's it not your fault???? I will never ever go back. I would recommend bombshell on 5th St hill

WARNING, I got food poisoning

I had high expectations of this place, I'm from the area and hear great things. My girlfriend and I went on Saturday June 18th, we started with the nachos appetizer with pulled pork, they were good. Then I ordered the rib and chicken platter, my girlfriend ordered a chicken platter that was different than mine, but we had the same sides, mashed potatoes and beans. About half way through my rack of ribs that were not fall off the bone, more like have to tear apart with lots of strength, the meat got terrible, I took 2 bites and immediately tasted something gross, I tried the chicken with the same result, felt undercooked and old towards the center. We paid our bill only because I didn't want to cause a fuss with my girlfriend there but 10 minutes after we left I had to pull over to throw up, I was sick the rest of the night and it basically ruined the last night of the weekend that I paid over 600$ to spend with my girlfriend, seriously considering calling the owner/manager. I wouldn't recommend this place, the wait staff is nice, that's about it.

Still good people. Good food, cold beers.

Liked this place when it first opened but now the BBQ seems way to dry like it's old meat reheated.

Fantastic barbecue and other dishes. The slow cooking over real hardwood really Gives the meat a spectacular flavor and tenderness. Great atmosphere ,good drinks, TV's everywhere ,and an outdoor patio. This is a great choice whether you're looking for a full meal, a few drinks, or a light meal.

Two meat combo platter, the brisket was dry and cold, additional $4 for making the grilled chicken breast into Monterey chicken was rubbish, dry chicken with drizzle of jack cheese and tiny bacon and raw tomatoes. Overall bad place for lunch, not recommended.
