It is a place of peace regardless if faith or religion, both inside the abbey and in the grounds around the abbey.
The restaurant is light and airy with plenty of space between tables and has a most wonderful mural on the end wall.
Breakfasts (between 9 and 11am) are very good as are the bacon baps of you can't quite manage a breakfast.

My favourite place to visit on my way home to Cornwall. Beautiful, quiet and a must visit for anyone if you're in the area. Vespers in the evening is so calming sung by the monks. Put it on your visit list.

Absolutely beautiful place, I highly recommend visiting and seeing it for yourself. I loved the architecture both outside and in, and was taken aback by how gorgeous it was inside. Also where they make Buckfast Tonic Wine! We had a lovely time here and I d love to visit again.

Beautiful building with interesting history. One way system inside abbey and hand sanitizer points so felt safe visiting. Nice spacious grounds with coffee shop where can sit inside or out.

What a beautiful place. Great Cafe. Lovely gardens. Amazing architecture. I love the mix of stones they used to build the abbey. Lovely gift shop as well. Well worth a stop to explore!

Really peaceful. The gardens were fascinating, and the stained glass in the church was amazing.

Also, totally impressed with our lunch in the cafe, lovely quality and reasonably priced; if nearby I would definitely consider popping back just for the cafe.

Beautiful building with some stunning details. Excellent history display and first class food in the restaurant. Regardless of your belief it would be difficult not to be moved by the atmosphere.

A beautiful, tranquil, space, that invites relaxation, to be at peace, to walk, sit, contemplate and pray. There is a wonderful Abbey, with a rich history to reveal and an interactive exhibition that illustrates that very well. There is good bookshop, gift shop, gardens and restaurant as well as a conference centre. You are Blessed by simply being here. Come awaken your senses... A monastery has been on the site for millennium in 2017.

Beautiful, peaceful gardens with little secret havens like the Lavender Garden. Abbey stands majestically. Friendly warm cafe with range of hot and cold treats. Accessible throughout. A place for contemplation or a coffee and catch up with loved ones.

A very beautiful place to visit. The Abbey is an incredible feat of engineering, considering it started with 5 pound and a horse and cart.
The grounds are lovely and a nice place for some quiet contemplation.
It is just commercial enough, with a lovely shop, really good cafe with locally sourced foods... Don't forget your Buckfast Tonic wine

It's part of the national furniture, everyone at some time in their life will get to visit it's a 'do' location and when you visit Fast Buck Abbey you will be done !......I don't think I have visited a more 'slick' operation in a catholic church anywhere else in the world. I am sure they are Disney trained. The whole site has money spending opportunities almost at every turn, the restaurant area can easily swallow up coach loads of tourists, and the shop is as busy as any in Oxford Street in the West End.
It's hard to think of a reason not to visit, the millions that have been before all speak well of the time they spent here, proving success breeds success !.....enjoy.

Buck fast Abbey is really lovely I would recommend anyone to go .the Abbey is out off this world and the gardens are really lovely and there is a cafe and shop and toilet and disabled toilets and it's all flat to go around.

A physical and spiritual stop near the Devon Expressway A38! The cathedral is impressive and very relaxing, take time to rest your mind and soul for a while.
The cafe is excellent too, reasonable prices, lots of room inside and out...best cream meringues ever.
Free entry and to the car park.
Have a stop, whether you are travelling from Devon/Cornwall or live local.

New museum is very informative. Restaurant has a good selection of quality food as a reasonable price. The gardens are nice to visit and the Abbey itself is very interesting. There is also more to this site that we didn't explore. Good for both old and young alike. Good access for the less mobile as well.

Very polite and friendly staff, not just to visitors but even between each other I noticed. Always friendly, to with a smile and a pleasure to be around.

It felt quite safe during the pandemic with table service now in the restaurant which was very well managed.

The Abbey is if course beautiful. It's just such a shame that the pandemic head blighted the fun of just being able to take your time and look around without worrying about one way systems or this and that. But that have organised it very well and kept it safe.

A tranquil place to visit. Lovely gardens to wander round with a very good restaurant for refreshments. The Abbey is a stunning building to see and with lots of musical events. Various special days are held throughout the year. Entry is free with plenty of parking. All parts are wheelchair friendly with a slight slope to negotiate. But good accessible toilets.
