Delicious food and enormous portions! The Muffuletta was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had! The bread was soft and fresh (most important part of a good sandwich) and the meats were very very good. We also had the ribs which were just as good! The meat fell right off the bone and was cooked and seasoned to perfection! My girlfriend and I will definitely be returning and reccomending this place to our friends. Excellent service and excellent food!!!

Would be a winner on Diners, Drive-In s & Dives. Louisiana comfort food. Nicest and friendliest staff ever. Food is delish although I probably gained 5 pounds. Can t wait to go back.

The catfish po boy was awesome.
Everything a little on the pricey side

You must try this restaurant! No exaggeration. It is in the middle of an industrial business road and we were surprised when we came upon this shiny silver little gem. Everything is made there and delicious, including the desserts. We decided to try the mac and cheese for an appitizer. I was expecting the usuall mac n cheese balls but was totally shocked to get bread plates and a large serving spoon placed in front of us along with a small bubbling souffle dish of the most creamy and cheesy mac n cheese we have had. We had cheese strings with every spoonful clinging to the remaining pasta. We do not like very spicey food so opted for something simple, po boys. My boyfriend ordered the pulled pork which melted in you mouth. He gave me a bite to try before I tried my bbq chicken po boy and I was envious. The bbq chicken was tender and juicy with a light bbq sauce on it. I would get it again. The po boys come with some delightful pickles, greens and a smeer of mayo used to keep the greens on the bun. The bun was light, warm and very soft. I ordered mine with regular fries and although they were good the sandwich was definately the star. We never order dessert but the food was so good we could not resist the banana cream pie. It was honemade like grandma and wonderful. The staff was friendly. The place is very clean. It is small! It reminds me of an old fashioned dinner trailor. Lol. Get there early for a booth! DELICIOUS!!! Must try and a few miles away from the Westbury theatre. So get out your Google maps and try it. You will not be disappointed.

Already my second time here and I live all the way in jersey, that should say something :) both the service and the food are extraordinary. Might be one of my favorite places to eat. I highly suggest the biscuits with gravy

They make everything themselves. It takes a lot of love and dedication to express such attention to details including making your own ice creams. The Cobbler blew me away, its a good thing that we left room for dessert. The service was impeccable, southern hospitality at your service.

Came here for happy hour on a Saturday around 3. not very busy. Only here for drinks and beer is my preferred drink. This place had an extensive beer menu so I was thrilled. The happy hour food looked good but didn't try it so cant rate on that. Would be five stars but had trouble getting a second round of drinks and the check. Waitress only showed up if we flagged her down. Would return with the hope of better service

Southern down home cooking that doesn't miss a beat! Some of the items on one of the menus change after a week or so. Bring Cash! BYOB! THE staff is super helpful. Come with an open mind, and wallet of course.

This is clearly one of the most pleasant place to eat in the area. Every time I come to this place I am so glad. They manage their very high standard service and the highest level of dishes they offer. You are always happy with this restaurant. Very recommended.

Great, friendly service. And if you like BBQ you will enjoy it, but it won't convert you if you are not already a fan. Favorite dishes include alligator sausage, pulled pork with eggs and biscuit, banana a fosters French toast, biscuit with sausage gravy. And the home made desserts are excellent, we are partial to the key lime pie, smooth and creamy! Place is small so you might have to wait.

BBQ options are limited in Nassau county so I came here for take out based on the majority positive reviews. It's definitely an interesting place, kind of an old fashioned diner/railroad car. The kind of gem you would see on Diners Drive-Ins and Dives. The location itself is a bit sketchy, not somewhere I'd want to walk around at night. Staff seemed friendly. As for the food, the variety was great but it seemed overpriced for the quality (FYI they only take cash). Had a po boy, BBQ ribs, and fried chicken. The flavors were balanced, pleasantly smokey, and not over-salted like Famous Daves. Bottom line is that I probably won't be back, but would recommend it to local folks.
Pros- interesting place, decent BBQ, good variety of menu options
Cons- overpriced ($30/rack of ribs), only take cash, small place in obscure location.

This site is my number one restaurant. Of all restaurants I know I favor it most. I never miss an opportunity to go to visit this place. everytime I I need a proper dinner, this is the place that comes first to my head. extremely good and food and a rich menu.generous staff, and pleasant ambience. In addition to that, the cost is good. I tell about this restaurant with no doubt.

Great southern style cooking, best I've ever had. Even deserts are homemade. You've got to go to this place. Look at pics it's like a old style trailer dinner. Pulled pork, the ribs and blackened salmon, wow. Blueberry Pie is incredible.

Great spot for comfort food on a Sunday morning. It's a real small place which wasn't a problem for us, but I wouldn't suggest coming here with a group larger than 4 people. Cash only is kind of inconvenient. Food was delicious.

Delicious food each time I go! Love the fried catfish and the pies are always a must! Best I've had is the "Elvis pie" (chocolate and peanut butter mouse pie with bananas on top). It is cash only.

It's THE BEST! The sausage and biscuit, and fried green tomato apps are so good! Tonight they had an app special, macaroni and cheese with brisket, and melted pepper jack cheese on top. TO DIE FOR! The pulled pork is delicious, as are the ribs and not one of their many side dishes have ever disappointed. The only thing I've ever ordered there that I wasn't crazy about was the chicken fried steak, that was slightly disappointing. I almost never have room for dessert, but any time I have, they have all been OUT of this world.

NOTES: This is a CASH ONLY place. It is REALLY TINY, like an old railway car diner. No frills. They DO NOT take reservations. (It's more like a "joint", rather than a restaurant. Leave your pretentiousness at home, but bring your appetite!) Anytime after 5:30-6:00 on the weekends, expect a wait, which gets more extensive as the night goes on. I usually call before I go just to check on wait time. It is BYOB, you can bring beer or wine (NO corkage fee), no hard liquor though. It is really one of my favorite restaurants, EVER. I can't recommend it enough. Owner is almost always there and staff is super friendly, too.

Best po boy's I ever had! Best Mac and cheese! so on and so forth. That's right, this place just makes down home cooking in Mineola feel native. The staff is friendly and courteous and sometimes are willing to make you something that isn't usually available at that moment. Joan the owner is wonderful and she keeps everyone up to date on Instagram. She posted a picture of a "Creole Ruben" and said join us for lunch. Well that was it for me. Take a look at my Creole Ruben below and tell me that isn't calling you. I gave my friend a heads up on their famous Mac and cheese and when she ordered it I warned her "you're gonna eat it all" to which she replied "impossible". Yeah there was nothing left. Amazing seafood soup. Smoked bbq wings, BRISKET! That's the fire. You won't regret trying them, but once you do your in for life.
P.s. This establishment is cash only with no atm nearby, so always bring cash.
Stay Beautiful

Awesome southern food in a hidden locale a couple blocks outside the village of Mineola in an old diner car. Mac and cheese is otherworldly, solid BBQ specials, shrimp and grits, gumbo, chicken fried steak, homemade desserts. Cash only. BYOB. Come hungry.
