I admire this place! They give awesome meals, they have a nice menu, The cook in that place is well trained, I love a lot tasting all their food. The dishes are always of high qualtity, the attitude towards the guests is friendly. I often eat in this place and I not even once was unsatisfied. I highly recommend it.

The best southern cajun style food around, The old railway car is the cherry on the cake, it really provides great ambience, but in reality the food doesn t need it. The hush puppies are the best a great starter, both gumbos are great. As for main courses, everything I have tried is makes me weep, jambalayas both were great and the po boys are fresh and hearty. Don t skip the sides, the ones I had are great.
Unfortunately I never had room for dessert but I have have deem listed classics like pecan pie. peach cobbler, bread pudding and around mardi gras king cake.

I'd give this place 20 stars if i could! The food is amazing for one the service is even as good as the cajun style cuisine. Waiter john took care of us like family. Beautiful decor and atmosphere all in a trailer setting. I highly recommend. Oh and the portions are very generous!!!

Amazing Cajun food I recommend the Mac and Cheese, Pulled pork poboy, fried tomatoes and desserts. The staff is so friendly and call ahead of time to order for pickup right now seating isn't open but that's perfectly fine this place is so worth it. Can't stress that enough I always have an amazing experience. Best BBQ on Long Island hands down.

Remarkable BBQ. Great quality food and authentic southern menu to choose from. Recipes are well planned and every meal I've eaten was cooked to perfection. Hush puppies are a must but don't forget to bring your own alcohol.

The staff was friendly and food came out pretty quickly but, For all those people that have 5 , Im guessing that you never had a real southern meal. Not was I was expecting after I read all these great reviews.* No work it*

Went there twice with a few people and everyone was happy with their meal. They appear to use very fresh ingredients. I highly recommend it. It's a small place a little in a sort of industrial area, but the food is great. When we first went there it was night and when I was a few blocks away I was almost sure I must of made a wrong turn. We had BBQ chicken, Smoke BBQ ribs, Chicken Fried Beefsteak, TurDucKen Friend Chicken & Waffles and kids Chicken fingers.

From the first moment you step in that restaurant the personel give you a great feeling. Very warm hosts, it is a good restaurant to go out with your friends or with your date. Great cuisine, skillful chief cook and stuff, comfortable pay and attentive service. Warmly recommended.

Home cooked Louisiana inspired food in an unpretentious very warm diner setting. Food was delicious and hearty. Service was very warm and friendly. Cash only. Can't wait to go back to try the gumbo and the banana cream pie. Food wasn't spicy but they do have hot sauce and bbq sauce on the table. If it's a beautiful day outside ask to sit outside and they will set you up.

Its a great place to eat I love it here. The bbq is so good the wings the ribs all just come off the bone. The raspberry honey butter and their molasses bbq sauce is just to die for. They also have burgers catfish and alligator sausage on the menu all are good as well. They do catering as well.
There is only 3 down side.
The first is CASH ONLY.
The second is not a lot of parking.
the third is its not the biggest place.
But its worth it.

It is also a pokemon go gym that usually has decent to good raid spawns daily. Just saying

Delicious. Try the brisket and the ribs. They are amazing. The cheese mash with jalapenos and the beans was awesome too. Everyone here is really nice and the owner was very chill. Parking I can see would be tough with how popular this place is but on off days it's no biggie.

The most delicious fall off the bone ribs. This place is CASH ONLY. Their pies are good too. Side portions are a bit small. The price is a bit steep. But the taste is amazing. The place is extremely small and nostalgic.
Handicap accessibility is zero. It is in an old air stream rv that you have to walk up a few steps and there's a high step to enter in, and seating is booths or at the bar. So if you're in a wheelchair, unfortunately you would not be able to enjoy all year around. but during the nice weather months they sometimes have outdoor seating.

I wish I had the experience just about everyone else that reviewed this place had. My first complaint is how poor the customer service is. We were greeted, taken to a table then were given glasses of water and when my girlfriend asked for a straw the waiter (a toll old man) rolled his eyes before giving her one. And he basically tossed the straws onto our table.

The service was fast. I really enjoyed my food which is the only reason for the 2 stars I'm giving this place. However the fried chicken wasn't anything to write home about. It was bland at best. If you've ever had real southern fried chicken you will know this ain't it!

The real kicker here as we drank our waters we wondered if they served anything to drink besides water because neither the waiter (tall old white man) or the woman who I thought might be the owner ever offered or asked if we wanted anything to drink. We had to see the old man delivering soda to another guests as we were leaving. We never asked because he was so cold and really seemed annoyed we didnt even want to bother asking if they served soda or iced tea.

If shi**y customer service doesnt bother you then yes this is a great place to eat. But if you're like me and want good customer service in exchange for my money please skip it.

As someone who grew up in the south but with no intentions of moving back, finding a good BBQ place is very important to me. Jackpot! By far, without exaggeration - the greatest hushpuppies I've ever had in my entire life.... The dough is so smooth and not at all grainy like most cornmeal foods, and it pairs impeccably with the honey mustard. An absolute must!

The food here is insanely good. The only problem, they have roaches. And they are very visible (front counter, floor, ceiling) which means there's a lot of them. This is the only thing that keeps me from going back. Sad because it's hard to find a place with such excellent food.

This place is awesome! Not only do they nail a variety of southern dishes, but they are super accommodating as well. After eating at Biscuits and Barbecue on a whim, my husband and I were incredibly impressed and subsequently decided to have them cater a large gathering of ours. We had multiple interactions with the owner who gave her honest recommendations and even offered to make something that was not on the catering menu to meet dietary restrictions. All of the food was a hit with our guests; anything you order from here is great! Don t skip out on dessert!

Very good food and 100% consistant. We have been there about 10 times over the last four years. Always good food and great service. When you go, say hello to Juan - a bear of a man, but within 5 minutes he'll be chatting with you like you are old friends.
Only annoyance with the place is it's not huge (and it's not a secret either) so the place tends to be a bit full at prime hours. So we try to go off hours or off days - Wednesday was fairly quite.
In the summer you can eat outside. A very nice way to relax. Bring an appetite - a half a muffelatta is enough for two (though I have eaten almost a half on my own). It is the most authentic muffalatta I have had outside of New Orleans.

I did a take-out for half rack of ribs with cole slaw and a biscuit. Staff offered me water (a few times) while I waited for my order (bottom line, they were super attentive)...when my daughter gets back in town, we are definitely going there. If service was that good at take-out, I can only imagine how good it would be eating there. Oh, and the food? Delicious...meat was falling off the bone...cole slaw not too mayoee but crunchy and fresh...biscuit? Perfect all around. Great job guys! Thank you!

Oh wow... cant say enough good things. I am from NC and it's hard to find good food in NYC that's "true southern style." Joan and her team did it. I call it a team because they all worked so well together. Glad I found their spot. Will def recommend you go and EAT DESERT FIRST!!!!

I never ate here before but i am giving this place 5 star just simply off the fact that they have survived in an industrial area. The business is highly successful. I live inches away from this business and ive grown up around this classic old dinner and its previous owners and the many businesses that have been there before and nothing stuck quiet like this and might i add that this has become a popular location spot for movie films! Its awesome to see this block have a spot in the limelight!

I love this place so much that I even hate to review it because more people might go. Don't be fooled by the 1950's dinner look in an industrial section town. Food and service here is fantastic. Best fried chicken on Long Island, moist and totally not greasy. Crawfish pie- yum, etouffle- superb, excellent mac and cheese, pulled pork, etc. BYOB, wine, beer, etc., no liquor license. Outside tables under awning in warm weather.

Pricey on simple dishes, for example fried chicken. Chicken was really dry. They charge cheesecake factory prices for mediocre diner food. $20 is not an acceptable price for a chicken dinner with one side for one person.
