Mixed couples welcome! Vegan/non-vegan, that is! A diner car with super friendly wait staff. Vegan accommodative if you order off the sides menu. Stop in and enjoy decadent non vegan food in a friendly, comfortable atmosphere.

The service staff and owner are very attentive to you. They re moving very fast to give great flow to the establishment. The food was good and overall experience was worth coming for. I gave it five star because it did remind me of New Orleans and when you re sitting there the feeling comes alive.

This place is definitely good southern comfort food. Nice menu selection and friendly staff. Ate BBQ pulled pork sandwich and onion rings for lunch, couldn't have made it any better. Their homemade BBQ sauce is on point as well. Will def visit here again.

Excellent place for typical southern food on Long Island. Secluded, hidden, it has existed for more than 40 years. NOTHING is wasted. Amazing ribs, great entrees, perfect burgers. If you want to eat inside "diner" wave or outside, wave Costanera cart.

Would come here for sit down dinner with my mother before COVID happened. It s a cute and quaint old diner car. It s tiny but even at its busiest it wasn t too long of a wait to be seated. It s BYOB I d bring a six pack or small bottle of More

Just really great food served by down to earth friendly people.

Don t let the bad reviews get to you. The staff here is nothing but nice and a real nice example of southern hospitality.

I ordered the Dixie fried chicken and waffles, although the waffles were a bit softer then I like, the chicken was bomb! The chicken has such a nice crust on the outside without being greasy at all. I used my hands, how you re supposed to eat fried chicken, and after they weren t shiny.

My wife ordered the jambalaya, tasty and packed with chicken and sausage. Also the Mac n Cheese was out of this world. Creamiest and cheesiest mac I ever had.

Order the Mac n Cheese and fried chicken!!

Also don t make the mistake we made, save a little bit of room for dessert.

Starting off, I ordered the blackened salmon with greens and chz grits. I also ordered sweet potato fries, corn flake chicken tenders and peach cobbler. Over all the food was ok EXCEPT for the peach cobbler. That tasted like a can of peaches with cinnamon crumbs dumped on it. For $65 I expected a more sophisticated food experience.

We ordered for Thanksgiving and the food was absolutely amazing! The alligator sausage, biscuits and Mac and cheese were out of this world appetizers. And then the Thanksgiving specials (TurDuckEn and Deep Fried Turkey) were even better. Thanks to Joan and the whole team! We will be back for more soon!

WE CALLED FOR CRAWFISH. GAVE OUR NAME AND THEY SAID BE HERE AS SOON AS YOU CAN. WE WERE THERE 10 MINUTES LATER. THEY DID NOT HOLD THE CRAWFISH FOR US. VERY DISAPPOINTING. WILL NEVER GO BACK. EVERYONE IS BUSY. Therefore SAY WHAT YOU MEAN AND MEAN WHAT YOU SAY. YOU SAID YOU WOULD HOLD AN ORDER FOR US. WAS THAT TO GET US IN SO WE D ORDER SOMETHING ELSE? RUDE.

Shrimp po boy and sauce was amazing, bread toasted just right. Raspberry butter for biscuits all i can say is omg. Peach cobbler is a must with the ice cream on top. Food came quick. No dine in eating right now outside or take out but make sure to visit, great southern options

Don't judge this place by its curb appeal. Great little out-of-the-way spot with a nice selection on the regular and the specials menus, even operating under Covid rules. Great hush puppies. Great desserts. BYOB okay (according to the food runner). Will definitely be back.

I've been here twice now and it's been incredible both times! The first time was for a first date, and the second for our one year anniversary! This is a true little gem with food cooked to perfection! I had the fried Cornish hen with the jalepeno cheddar mash and roast vegetables, with a side of the sausage gravy. Every part of it was incredible on its own and together. Will definitely be back (for all our anniversaries and hopefully in between)!!!

If you plan on going bring cash I drove an hour to have their food only to see cash only which tells me one thing they don t like to pay their fare share of taxes it s a real shame good luck !!!

A surprisingly charming and tasty find, courtesy of my lovely mother. Had the chicken and waffle with homemade honey and raspberry butter, along with cheesy grits, and was mightily satisfied. Don't forget to get a biscuit!

Delicious food coupled with southern hospitality in a snug setting. We enjoyed scrumptious pulled pork, shrimp po boy, and biscuits and gravy with andouille sausage and caramelized onions. We finished off with an excellent key lime pie. The prices were reasonable as well and we left a few pounds heavier and happier.

My wife and I were trying out BBQ places around Long Island to eventually cater an event. While they were all good in their own right, we ended up selecting Biscuits and Barbeque. Now, I will start off with the bad, since there is not much. First, this is a cash only place. That could annoy some, but for a dinner for two should not be an issue. However, for large parties this could get annoying. The place is not big, like an old school small dinner with outside seating, so sitting large parties together is even more challenging. Lastly, this place does not serve alcohol. Now, they do allow you to bring your own beer and wine, so that for me is great. Works well with the outdoor seating. The staff are all pleasant, engaging, and accomadating. The food. Delicious. The ribs are great. They have some bean side dish with pieces of pork and that is phenomenal. The chicken (fried and BBQ) is good. Not as distinguishable as the ribs, but good. We ended up ordering pulled pork and mac and cheese among the items mentioned above. The pulled pork was amazing and I cannot say enough about how impressive a simple mac and cheese dish tastes so delicious. All our guests kept asking where we ordered from, so I expect that some will go try for themselves. We are so happy to have and are enjoying our leftovers.

When I saw the menu I knew this was a place to try. When I saw where they were located, in the middle of a light industrial area, I thought I was gonna love it. I am amazing because I was right. This is a no nonsense BBQ joint. Cheese grits can compete with anything in the south. The smoked chicken was amazing. The ribs were very decent and was not disappointed. I can't say they are the best I've had because I have had A LOT, but absolutely no complaints. The biscuit was sheer joy (y'all have no idea how hard it is to make a great biscuit.

I was disappointed that I didn't get any apps which is what drew me to thos place in the 1st place, but I was taking the food back to NYC and fried food never travels well.

Long story short (shorter) I am a huge fan and definitely will come again and yall better make sure there is enough biscuits and gravy and chicken and waffles to feed me!

Hidden gem tucked away by the LIRR tracks. Fantastic old-fashioned style diner converted into a BBQ joint. The brisket it out of this world!! Flavor just melts your tongue away, its absolutely incredible. Try the biscuit too its HUGE and splashed with delicious gravy!!! Specials change all the time too so I love going in and being able to get something different. Do not forget to bring some bills, they accept only cash!

Old school trailer-style diner with a southern twist. We went for brunch on a Saturday and had the brisket with eggs over a biscuit and the pulled pork with eggs over a biscuit. Everything was delicious. Barbecue was tender and flavorful (not drowned in sauce, which I can't stand) and eggs were perfectly cooked. We definitely want to go back for lunch or dinner and also to try their homemade desserts. Employees were very friendly and service was excellent. Do make sure to bring cash since this is a cash only establishment.

Fried dark meat chicken with waffles: 3.5 no complaints but nothing exceptional.
Sweet potato fries: 5 awesome!
Staff: 5 friendly
The place: 4.5 simple, clean.
Worth visiting: definitely ... saw a lot more interesting southern style dishes on the menu.

Truly a home-cooked meal experience from a place that takes great pride in and injects a lot of love into its offerings. The waiter was a crusty throwback who offered impeccable service. The portions were large and made to share (and take home!) The sweet potato fries were outstanding.

This place is always on point. We always go there and get one of the specials because they are ALWAYS so good. The Chef is super friendly and always comes out and says hi and asks about the food. Always walk out of there stuffed.

I was expecting a typical diner experience but it turned out to be much more. The menu is more upscale than a typical diner.

We tried the biscuit special, which was a scallion and bacon biscuit, with gravy. It was big enough for two and delicious.

They only accept cash.

So good. Got the fried shrimp po boy sandwich. Bread.soft.fresh.great. the shrimp also great texture and the batter the shrimp are fried in is very nicely flavored as well. Big sandwich, good amount of shrimp. Nice spicy mayo on the side too. Also got a banana pie slice, great. Will come back and try other stuff. Also, as soon as we pulled up in the parking lot someone came out and asked us for the order name and brought it out promptly and courteously. The person on the phone taking the other was also lovely. Great little find.

Wow! So i was in the neighborhood and wanted to try something new, found these guys on google. Ordered shrimp po boys and the woman on the phone who took my order was very nice and friendly. When i got to the restaurant, some one came out to my car as soon as i pulled up and my meals came out fast and the gentleman was very courteous. The shrimp po boys were delicious! From the sauce to the bread, it was the best sandwich i had in a long time. So worth it and i'll definitely be back again!
