Little pricey. Didn't realise you have to flip the sign at your table to, 'Stop' if you wanted to be helped. Everyone was really nice and the service was fast. The choice of music varies greatly which isn't a problem, just off-putting at times, but it's easy to ignore. The food and drinks were delicious, and I definitely see myself coming again in the future.

Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. Is my hands down favorite place to go. We have always went to the one in San Francisco when we visit the Warf/Pier 39 but this time my husband surprised me and took me to Monterey. It is a child friendly, very clean, and nice relaxing outside seating to enjoy the view of the ocean while eating. The whole experience of our day outing was so therapeutic, relaxing, and fun with my Grandson and Husband. We had a great time and we were able to show our Grandson new things and a fun time. We plan on going back soon to do some different more fun stuff.

Had a really good experience for our 1st visit. Drinks were bomb and the food was delicious. Over looking the ocean doesn't get much better than that. Great service and even got souvenir cups loved it

Unfortunately extremely slow, the restaurant is not even half full.

Went here for the first time and I wasn't impressed. I ordered crab and I guess maybe I had an anorexic crab ...It had very little meat. My friend ordered shrimp... that were tiny. The fries were good tho. We had lemonade that was too sweet for our liking. No one explained the sign to us. Our waiter was nice and so was the atmosphere. I don't think I'll be back again... unless maybe I want some fries.

It's the Bubba Gump with the best views (probably because it's the original). Love the trivia and quotes scattered along the walls. Super cool to know it's the very location Tom Hanks bought when he started the chain.

Food isn't world renown or anything, but still very good and awesomw drinks that usually come with their glass/mug.

This was our first time here. Despite the restrictions, they did an excellent job. Our food was delicious, staff was friendly, and we had no doubt everything was handled with care. The dip appetizer was delicious, and the shrimp lovers was perfect since I couldn't decide which kind I wanted!

Gets pretty corwded, a little loud, but good quality food and fast service. There can be quite a wait to get in.

Fun going to the first Bubba Gump. There is a bench outside where you can sit, complete with it's own box of chocolates.

It s delicious, there are all kinds of seafood dishes.

The exquisite food, the wait no more than seven minutes and the attention was excellent the waiter was very helpful, attentive and we did not have to wait long for us to serve the food, the price is fine. I recommend it.

Great food and ambience but the service was bad. Forgot things we asked for. Repeated requests ignored. Shame, the food was great though and there was a pretty nice view.

Really good food, the service was good. The view is amazing. The hostess seem like ur are bothering them. But Andy is the server to get. She goes above and beyond. Spends a good amount to time with you, makes sure you know everything, really friendly. She wasn't my server but I watched her with serval tables.

Tourist trap you probably will fall for. Staff is super young. Overpriced but good.

Customer service was A++ but the food was just ok. We won't be going back. We were there for the busy Saturday before Labor Day but that should have nothing to do with the quality of the good.

the decor and location are great, but this is supposed to be a restaurant. I payed a lot of money for the Forest seafood sampler and the dumb luck coconut shrimp and both were soggy and tasteless. Such a waste of time and money. Would never eat here again.

I was dining alone and nobody would wait on me. I had to go ask two waiters who were chatting if someone was going to help me and take my order. I kept being ignored, when it came time to pay no one came to get my money!! I was very disappointed. The food was very good.

A favorite and a staple. However, the volume inside can become a problem when the restaurant is busy. After a while, we got tired of screaming at each other over the table and just let the din wash over us.

We thought it was great there. The food was delicious, would have loved to try the menu up and down. Amazing what such a film can do. The only negative point, wanted to sit outside, there was also a lot free, but apparently not enough service staff. So we had to sit inside. The procedure until we sat at our table was a bit uncoordinated, but the service afterwards was flawless!
In the merchandise shop I found the saleswoman to be quite pushy.

My family and I went to this location in January 19, 2020 since we took our little one to the aquarium. Great place with great food. The only disappointing part of this experience was that I had my debit card information stolen. The crazy part is that this was the only place I paid with it in Monterey. Now after a whole month they start using it at the restaurant and at other location. My family and I will not be returning to any of these locations ever. What kind of people do they have working for them. Please I advise anyone who goes to this location please keep an eye out on your bank statement. Since they like to splurge on other people money.

Fun restaurant & the food is great. I especially love their dessert (strawberry shortcake)

Always have a good time at Bubba Gumps casual atmosphere. Tons of decorations and photos to look at on your visit. Great selection of seafood including lots of shrimp of course. Just wish they had more locations!

We believe this is one of the best views on the boardwalk off the wharf. It's casual and fun atmosphere, fun yet proffessional staff, mixed with the delicious spicy appetizer, frsh fish and wonderful company ALWAYS MAKE for a fun night

I asked Koreans because they didn't see the famous Shrimp's Heaven menu.
The staff was very friendly and the menu was delicious

Ordered take out from here, garlic bread was a soggy mess, the 1 pound of crab legs was more like a small handful, not to mention they had barely any meat in them. Oh and I didn t get the rice with my meal either. On the plus side, my husbands meal was nice and the order was completed in a timely manner. Overall very unimpressed and won t be back.

Was a 5 star place a few years ago. The food is the same now but it seems like the service has gone slightly downhill

Local inspired by Forrest Gump. You eat well, you spend the right and sometimes the waiters make a curtain to celebrate someone. Window on the ocean simply WONDERFUL! For lunch the view is enjoyed more than at dinner.

Expensive and I don't care for the menu.we rodered popcorn shrimp for an appetizer and got like 5 shirimp with the breading that crumbled and they gave us more Bell peppers breaded. I didn't enjoy my food at all. Don't plan on returning

I ordered my steak cooked medium-well and it came out completely well done and so dry that there was not even a drop of juice on my plate when I cut into it. The worst part was that the waiter didn't even attempt to make it right. He didn't offer to bring out a new steak cooked correctly, didn't offer a discount or to comp my meal. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their meals, except the jello that came with the kids meals was not even close to being set - it was basically a cup of blue sugar water. I absolutely will not be returning.

The food and the service was awesome! Our waiter was very sweet an attentive! We did how ever find little shards of glass in our alcaholic beverages.. We found them after we had already drank half of them. Not just one little piece either, multiple pieces. The staff did take the drinks off of our tab. Just very upsetting that now we might have shards of glass inside our stomachs. Other than that, our visit there was great.
