Underwhelming to say the least. $36 for overcooked and dried up ahi ahi and shrimp in miniscule proportions. Never ordering from here again.

Service was good. The food? Not so good. The buns for the sliders we're hard and stale. The chicken in the quesadilla was old and rubbery. We've been here in the past and had a great meal. This time? Not so much.

My first time at one of these restaurants. Service was great. Food and prices were pretty sad. Almost everything is fried. Not to knock fried food but let s have some variety here. And if fried food is your thing why do your French fries suck? Definitely was not impressed.

Everything tonight was amazing. The service, food, and bar were all great!! Good jobs guys and gals you rocked it!

You cannot miss this place if you visit Monterey. The original Bubba Gump Shrimp restaurant, where you could find everything related to the movie Forrest Gump, while you have a nice dinner. Cons: you must wait if you don't have reservation.

Good food, we liked their variety. My husband and kids could have meat and fish, and I had nice vegetarian options as well. The drinks were yummy and we got to keep the glasses which is a fun souvenir. But, we had a long wait and the pizza was greasy.

Seeing a Bubba Gump Shrimp restaurant is a telltale sign of a Tourist Trap.

Do yourself a favor and visit a local place for a meal instead of some garbage fictional franchise.

A nice clean place with nice friendly staff. The food is very good, and if you loved the 'Forest Gump' movie then this place is for you.

Theme restaurant full of details, with sea view. Friendly staff, the dishes are beautiful and appetizing.

I tried the Shrimp New Orleans and did not like the sauce. Mama's garlic bread was delicious though. I will give them another chance.

got food poisoning from my lunch I ordered, when I called and asked if anyone else had gotten sick from the same time and day I went (So I had an idea if it was just me or not) they said "Thats not something we can disclose" hmmmmm

The waitress that took my order, lets say that is all she did. She depended on everyone else to do her job. All of the waiters/waitress's looked like they just got out of bed. For the price of the meals you would expect more pride in thier employees. Not impressed with the food either. It would be better if made as described in the menu.

Tasty good but the portion would have to be a little bigger for the money.

They under estimated the wait but the food was good. Thank god they have a texting service for the wait.

Incredibly slow service, long ticket times. Coconut shrimp good but only portion that seemed full size.

View may be ok for daytime, but at night too dark.

Better places, but out of fairness kids seemed happy!

We have been traveling down the coast for a week and this is the best place we have eaten so far!!!!! AMAZING COCKTAILS, FOOD AND OUTSTANDING SERVICE!!! recommend makers mark cocktail and makers mark salmon. !!!

Had a nice view of the water. The staff were super friendly and the food was great! The only complaint I have is that this place has too many tables crammed in a small space.

Don t go to this restaurant it s only the name and the movie that makes us go there they have nothing on the menu and I got sick as soon as I walked out and got to my car. 7/5/2020 There are way better restaurants at fisherman s wharf like Scales where you get a window seating and you get in fast and they treat you great.

It used to be one of my favorites. I loved it for the views of the water and movie props food was decent. Service was lacking not as interactive or as much trivia as once was and servers got drink order wrong and took a while to get the bill to our table.

Love this place. Try to get over a couple times a year. Even though they are always busy, service is always top notch, and food is excellent.

Came in with my cousin and 3 kids under 5. The wait was long and a little disorganized, but it was totally worth it! The food was excellent and the kids loved their Icees in light-up souvenir glasses. I was especially impressed with the waitstaff. Calm, quick, and so helpful. The baby got food all over the place and kept dropping a cup. Our waiter and another employee working nearby had a fabulous sense of humor and just kept picking it up. They were attentive, kind, and patient.

Awesome clam chowder and decently priced for a CA restaurant!

Terrible service. We waited 30 minutes for a server and 1 hour for our food.

The chicken wings here are awesome. A classic Louisiana sauce with a hint of sweetness.

The Mac & cheese was alright.

We have visited this chain numourous times, Hawaii, San Fran Sorry to say this will be the last time I eat here although the kids love it Monterey was the very disappointing, the sevice was decent.. the food was like it had been dipped in salt, if I made my review on the merits of this spot. I would be done with Forest Gump, certainly no box of chocolate, will not go back to this spot...

Prime location by the water. Clam chowder soup was delicious and the fish and chips was superb with their tartar sauce.

Always pleasantly surprised by the food quality and service. Grilled shrimp tacos were very good.

About as touristy a spot as you can find, but I dunno, I enjoy the food.

Always a great place to eat! Make sure to ask for a table by the water.

Very claustrophobic...no space to move. Also kinda chaotic, but maybe it was just understaffed. Food and drinks took quite awhile (20+ min), but were tasty.

Gimmicky. The crab was almost rancid. I had expected so much more, especially with the ocean view.

Food was good and love the location, Only reason I'm not giving five stars is because the inside of the restaurant was very hot.

Fast service and a fun atmosphere. This is the original Bubba Gump Shrimp CO as well. Positioned perfectly next to a scenic beach as well as the Monterey Aquarium.

Intrigued by the fame of this chain and cold from the cold we tried the experience of this place; staff on average pleasant, especially when celebrating birthdays, average food with prices a little high, the portions are a bit miserable so forget to share the scope to save money; nice and funny location

It is a perfect place to relax and. We had a very special time David Ofe and Lucy David's wife liked them. shrimp.

definitely not happy with their service. The waitress was rude and hardly came to our table to ask how we we re doing. I asked for something and it seem that it bother her. Extremely disappointed + my food was cold after waiting for 40 minutes.

A good place during off tourist hours for a quick bite. Long lines & wait times make in nearly impossible for locals to dine there on the spur of the moment so plan accordingly. Extensive menu, spotty service at times but worth the wait if your schedule allows.

Food was good the place was great but i hate pigeons landing on the tables inside the restaurant and under the tables at your feet hence a low score and no tip !!

Atmosphere was good, decor full of Forest Gump memorabilia. Food was good, especially the clam chowder. Though they don't serve clam chowder in a bread bowl, which is what I wanted. I would have rated this a 5 except the bread bowl and they had paper straws, and that absolutely doesn't work when you have kids. My four year old kept asking why the drink wasn't coming through the straw, others had same issue after a few minutes. BYOS.

Didnt offer refills on drinks two of our 6 chairs were broken service was poor and unattentive would have spent more had they ever stopped to see if we needed anything else. Lost my business for good too bad also as we are in the area many times a year

With all the seafood places in Monterey, this is the best. Sad to say this, but after living here awhile, we take out of town visitors here...food is good, prices comparable and outstanding service.

Finally was able to visit this place. It is really themed after Forest Gump and has the movie playing in one the TVs in the background. The shrimp was smaller than the ones at Joe's or the Asian spots in SD, but had an awesome flavor.

I come here every year and sit next to the windows with a view to the ocean.
The good is good and ther people are friendly! And the beer ain't bad either.

I love this place, the food is always great and the servers are always nice. Some of them were dancing to the music last night.
