Trying to get technician to solve email server errors. Only one tech they can't find. This is my fourth call today, and second day trying to solve the problem. I am sent to his voice-mail, but it hungs up before leaving a message. There is no one else who cannot help.

I've always received great service from BTEL and Autumn is really helping me out making my transition to a new house much easier! I work from home so my internet service is extremely important. Thanks BTEL and Autumn!
Horrible and over priced. For years on a few occasions would not have service for a day or 2. When you ask them about a credit they tell you no. I moved and canceled my service and they owed me money as a credit. When I asked them when would I get it, they told me it takes at least 90 days. What a joke. If you don't pay your bill on time, the day after the due date you get threating letters that you will be cut off. But thats the city of Brazoria for you, will not allow any competition in. I have xfinity now, so much better, and cheaper. More channels, can stream from my phone or laptop. Never got that in Brazoria.
Super expensive and we dont even use the phone line but still have to pay it. The internet goes out every few months and is slow and buggy at best. BTEL is literally our only option here for internet, and it's one of the worst providers. Sure the people who work there are lovely, but the service is garbage and made online school awful. I dont understand how people are giving good reviews at all, like this is the worst experience I've ever had.
One of the best companies I have ever dealt with. My husband and I recently moved to South Brazoria (Rivers End) from Dallas. We love everything about this beautiful town, and the incredible people. We closed on our home on a Thursday, by Monday B-Tel had our home wired for internet, and phone. Huge thanks to Caleb for doing all of this quickly and effortlessly! The staff in the business office- took care of everything over the phone, setting up our new account and paperless billing. This company is how ALL companies should be - professional, and friendly! If 10 stars were an option, B-Tel deserves it.
Horrible company. Internet is always going out and when we call them it s always a problem on our end. You overpay for 20mb when really you re getting only 2mb. Hopefully another company steps in and puts this sorry company out of business
The internet never works right no matter how many times they come to fix it within a day or 2 the internet starts doing the same thing not working!!!!!
If I could give this company negative stars, I would. I m glad all the 5 star reviewers are living in a fantasy land. Must be nice. Deal with this company (through numerous names such as Classicnet, Coastal Link, Suddenlink, etc) for 15+ years with your Internet and cable not even working for a consecutive month in all those years and get back to me. Like everyone else has said: This company is a monopoly who does not care about you or anything but the money and who does not give people what they pay for. I don t think AT&T would care about me either on a personal level, but at least it would be better, cheaper, and more reliable service. I just wish the people of Brazoria would band together and fight against this blatant monopoly that this company has settled nicely into. Why is everyone in this town content to pay 3 times as much money for 1/5th the speed? Please come to your senses, Brazoria.
How do I give less than one star on here? Epitome of small family owned town stranglehold monopoly. Anywhere else you can get internet 5 times as fast (~50 Mbps) for 1/3 the cost (30 bucks). Maybe one day if the city council ever decides to do whats best for their residents instead of their own pockets, they'll allow other competition in there and finally move in to the 21st century. Until then, communicate with smoke signals or some Dixie cups with string. It'll be a lot faster and more reliable.
UPDATE: They're finally coming out of the 20th century and upgrading to Fiber internet. Why you might ask? To give their customers more of what they want? Because it's what's best for their local residents? Nope. Because 5G wireless internet is going live, way faster, way cheaper, and doesn't require an extra cost antiquated land phone line. And city council won't be able to do anything to stop it short of building a dome over Brazoria to block the signal. Too little too late. Good riddance when this company finally goes out of business.
90$ Deposit + 95$ a month for only 50 mbps! What a price spike! I guess if you need it you need it but man that's expensive. And then they add a "fiber maintenance fee" on top of that!
We have had btel internet & cable for several years. Occasionally a problem would arise but it was always resolved in a timely fashion. They have always been courteous to me. I don t understand all these bad reviews. I m assuming they are warranted but this has not been my experience. Also yesterday we received a letter from btel that they ha e a Harvey Relief fund & for us to visit their office to collect as they know our house was flooded. WHAT CABLE/INTERNET COMPANY HAS DONE THIS FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS??? NONE that I am aware of. THANK YOU BTEL
Everyone posting poor reviews claiming Btel is a "monopoly" has no idea what they are talking about. Internet providers have NO say in who competes in their area. The truth is, the BIG providers don't want to spend the money to provide you service. It costs MILLIONS of dollars to build a network and your $90 a month means nothing to the big guys. If Btel didn't care, they wouldn't offer 24/7 support or spend the MILLIONS of dollars to build out their network to service small rural areas. It takes YEARS to upgrade and expand a network. There are still 19 million Americans who have NO access to fixed internet, let alone a local choice. It's all a matter of perspective and all these poor reviewers need to get some. Unlike the big guys, Btel cares enough to fix problems/upgrade the network and sometimes it takes some time to accomplish. Technology is fickle and people need to understand that. If you are reading this review, do yourself a favor and ignore all of these other reviews. My experience with Btel has been nothing but positive.
I have had nothing but problems with Coastal Link (and now BTEL) since I moved here 6 Months ago. Before, I had AT&T U-Verse and never had an issue my entire time using them, so starting off my standards were probably a little high . However, within the first month of using BTEL I had to call four or five times for stupid issues that I should ve been able to do online, like register a new box. The problems didn t end there. Within the first 2 months my calls to then were well over and acceptable amount. My mom lives down the road and her issues are very similar. Since then I have dropped the cable, the home phone and now i only have the Internet service. I really thought Coastal Link taking over BTEL would increase their services quality, but all it did was increased the prices. I am paying $95 a month now for Internet only and I have had to call several times to complain about dropped signal, no signal, I ve had to change out my modem twice in the last 3 months- it s just exasperating to say the least . I have to turn Wifi off a lot of the times just to get a page to load which is ridiculous, Especially at the price I m paying. I m heading over to the store now to get a third, newer modem. Why did it take me several phone calls and multiple online troubleshooting steps to finally find out I need another box? And the one I have is only six 2 old... SMH.
since august of this year iv had non stop issues with service. First it was my ground Jose was a saint on putting a whole new line as it kept burning up. Service keeps dropping and now they are saying its my device when the same issue happened with their device. They need to fix their side of things as far as the ground and the ports on the cable I didn't realize they had to fix a part for the last couple months literally found out yesterday. I live in a area where I need internet and they are the only provider and I work from home so the leaking internet does not help either. I PULLED 4TB IN ONE DAY NOT POSSSIBLE THEY NEED TO GET THE LINES FIXED CORRECTLY AND GIVE US BETTER DEVICES
Worst company ever never doesn't even offer good internet packages there all slow. Over charges there stuff never works. It's always down, yet when you call them your lucky if you get an answer. Disgraceful company and would have no customers left if it wasn't for the monopoly.
With all do respect . DO NOT trust this company with your business internet. Personal is up to you but it s even worse, but I keep reminding myself that this company lacks competition. They won t care about all the 1 star reviews until a larger company makes its way to the area Like AT&T U-Verse , Comcast Xfinity, Time Warner Cable (Spectrum) , Or Even Centurylink) . . I ve had to deal with these guys being my only option for two locations going on a decade now. nothing but problems plagued my entire area, I was even told by a technician once, we know the lines here are trash but it s cheaper for us to credit your account when you complain than it is to correct the problem
I now have AT&T-UVerse and it s as if the heavens have opened and angels personally deliver a solid 50 mbps download speed.
The owners of this company need to be tar and feathered and run out of town like they did in the old days, they are disgraceful and have no shame they are stealing money from the hard working people of brazoria I hope they read this because they sure won't answer there phones to hear it, the internet is slow, overpriced, and never works correctly. Shame on you btel , you are a greedy disgraceful company. I hope your company fails and goes bankrupt
