This hotel is not at all handicap friendly. There are too many steps in room that people with back and leg pain will have great difficulty. I have a suite and there is only one phone in such a big suite. I find the staff not too friendly. I just flushed 1500 pounds down the toilet. Light switches are not working properly. Checking out tomorrow and I do not recommend this hotel. What they say on the phone to make a reservation and what you get is 2 different things. There is no way this hotel is 5 star. There are steps throughout the hotel for which some with back and legs will suffer greatly.

Our stay could not have been more delightful. It was a joint anniversary and birthday celebration and the hotel staff were so thoughtful. A particular thank you to House Manager Alex.
Fabulous food and ambience, beautiful surroundings. We would stay again in a heartbeat. We hope we don't have to wait another 20 years! Thank you Browns.

Brown's Hotel is a famous and history laden spot in London. We were invited to afternoon tea with our English "family" from Stafford while staying in town. I loved everything about the tea except the cucumber sandwiches!

We've been lucky to stay at most 5-star hotels in London, and this was our first time at the excellently outstanding Browns and won't be our last.
We had our daughters birthday and from the moment we arrived at the hotel the service, the people, the attention to detail was beyond any of the other top 5 star hotels; from Givi, Max and the other doormen, to the reception staff, Wakhim and last but not least Janine who throughout was a super star in arranging surprises for the girls (not easy with 12) and ensuring everything went as smooth as it possibly could. The rooms are fantastic, the break / lounges are lovely area's for eating but no doubt its the service that sets this apart.
We very much look forward to returning in the near future.

If you're not wearing anything that makes you look suitably wealthy, you are looked at and treated with disgust. As a travelling tourist this was very disconcerting, if I'm willing and able to pay the fare, I doubt my jacket and shoes should make you judge me as incapable of paying

We went there for afternoon tea in The English Tea Room. And it s the best afternoon tea experience I have ever had so far in London! The place is traditional, classic and beautiful. The food was gorgeous, they brought out freshly baked scones after the sandwiches. The service was impeccable, the waiter came to pull tea for us when the cups were less than half full, he also offered us different freshly baked cakes even we already had our cakes selection. I will definitely bring my friends and my family here when they visit London. It s even better value and service than Claridge s (I will still rate it with 4 stars). And far beyond Fortnum & Mason, where I had the worst experience: the manager was even shouting at us.

Afternoon tea birth hotel.

Afternoon tea birth hotel.
Not only tea but also scones and cakes can be added freely.
However, if you do not know the degree, you will not need 1-2 meals after that.
Although it is casual and friendly, the lady of the hotel will be careful if the manners such as behavior are bad.

Generally, there arelist of choices and selections& there's plenty for vegetables. If you want to experience the best and flavourful menus, don t hesitate to go there. I've had a way better afternoon tea experiences here. This is absolutely one of the places that serve tea that you must try while in London. Brown's Hotel in London is truly the best. It has a modern afternoon teaand the service and facilities are all first class!

Afternoon tea here was impeccable. British luxury at its best: warm, oak paneled, live piano music, comfy couches, beautiful silverware and china. Scones, tea and cakes were all delicious. Service was attentive and friendly - they refilled our trays 3 times and would have kept going. An expensive indulgence but nice to get out and enjoy the best London has to offer.

Went to the hotel for afternoon tea. I hadn't heard of the hotels reputation for afternoon tea, but it was probably the best i have had anywhere. This is the first time where you can as many refills as you like, of anything. Classic finger sandwiches, scones and beautiful cakes. Definatly worth it for a special occasion

Afternoon Tea - we sat in the back room by the fireplace and it was the perfect setting for a cosy afternoon tea in the Fall. Good service, excellent sandwiches, the scones were warm and the desserts were just the right amount of sweetness. They have a beautiful Christmas tea.

Went here with my sister as we both were given a complimentary massage as a birthday gift from our cousin who works here. We thoroughly enjoyed the deep tissue massage. It was so relaxing and the staff were really lovely. They also have fine dining here if you are booked in as a guest.

Brownes Hotel Mayfair is rated 5 star for very good reason, my Wife and I had a 3 night stay at the hotel last week to celebrate our 24th wedding anniversary and my wife's 50th birthday. To say the staff looked after us really well would be an under statement. Best service I ever experienced in a hotel from check in until check out - nothing was a problem ,all the staff were so professional, well trained they added a few really nice touches to make the occasion special . The hotel is kept immaculately clean. The breakfast was really good with plenty of choice. Tucked away on a quiet street in Mayfair a perfect spot for that special celebration or a great base to explore central London. Thank you for making our stay special.

We visited here for some drinks with a friend. The bar is lovely. Solid wood panels on the wall, comfy chairs and a gas flame fire.

The staff are very attentive and the wine list is quite diverse without being overwhelming. We received some lovely olives and nuts with each bottle of champagne we ordered.

Will definitely visit again.

Go for high tea and drinks, skip dinner. The high tea and bar are both great and worth experiencing. Christmas dinner was sadly underwhelming; weren t ready for us somehow needed more time for overpriced, small and under-flavored entrees. Much better dinner options in Mayfair.

Amazing venue with so much interesting history. Service was fantastic and the food was incredible. Highly recommend the carbonara pasta special as this was a feast for the senses and unlike any pasta dish I've ever had. Will certainly be returning!

My friends and I went to Brown's Hotel for afterno...

My friends and I went to Brown's Hotel for afternoon tea, to celebrate two of their birthdays. two of us have intolerances to dairy and gluten and this was one of the reasons that we chose Brown's, as they maintain they an cater for any dietary requirements, given 48 hours notice, which we did. We were told which plates were for us, and were careful only to eat from them but both my friend and myself, had adverse reactions soon after eating the afternoon tea. My friend was ill for some days afterwards. Considering that some people can die from eating the slightest amount of what they are allergic to, this does not show enough care on behalf of the Hotel and/or their suppliers and staff, to ensure that people are given the food which pertains to the dietary requirements that they have asked for.

I tried to inform the Hotel of what had happened, so that they could check their procedures and suppliers. I sent two emails, my friend sent an email, I sent a letter and finally, after two weeks, phoned them. I was told someone would ring me back in 15 minutes, only to receive an email apology finally, later that afternoon, after two weeks. So my friend and I are not impressed with their food preparations or their internal communication system either.

If you have special dietary requirements, I would think twice about going to Brown's, despite them saying they can cater for you, just in case!!

We ve visited here a few times for afternoon tea, and have generally enjoyed the experience. There is plenty of food available (it s perfectly acceptable to ask for more trays of sandwiches if you feel you d like them), and the cakes are always exquisitely decorated. There s also a well thought-out gluten free option for those who need it. The only negative point we ve found is service can occasionally be slow towards the end of the sitting.
