Staff very polite and attentive. One of the best afternoon tea experiences you can find. Good menu of finger sandwiches and savoury tarts, replenished if wanted. Lovely light scones, homemade jam and clotted cream + various small fresh cream cakes. Additional cakes, including rich fruit cake offered. Gluten free alternatives provided if required. Choice of teas, replenished regularly and a glass of champagne.
My only disappointment is it was time restricted to two hours, which was ok, but we were asked to vacate our table with fifteen minutes to go, so it's not really two hours.

Locals had told me this was the best High Tea in London. Can't say for sure but it sure seemed so to me! Really great! The "Tea-Tox" was just as attractive and appetizing as the traditional tea... perfect for diabetics or weight-watchers! Wonderful service too!

Wow!The hotel is very clean and neat, the ushers are lovely and very welcoming, they smile and willing to help just like the waiters. They always give you the best and get your order right.

The rooms are very nice, clean and warm especially for winter times, the air conditioning system is working nicely.Bring welcoming champagne and always having two bottles of still and spring water on your room.Have some magazine to read.

If you have any queries they always speed to help you. There's a good gym if you're if you like to exercise just like me keeping shape, healthy and strong. The lift is always working.
All the staff and the management are very nice people and their very professional that's why their one of the five star hotels.

Rocco Forte's, Brown's Hotel, London stands out as one of the best experiences we have ever had at any hotel throughout the world. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a big smile and an extremely warm welcome from the bell-boy Johnny, who opened our door, collected our luggage and took care of the rest of our belongings, along with his team. Everything from the room-service, the exceptional concierge, headed up by Australian, David Young, breakfast, lunch and dinner at the outstanding "Beck" and of course the daily high-tea, served by some of the most professional and attentive wait-staff, was nothing short of excellent. Our expectations were satisfied beyond measure by the extraordinary team at Brown's, London. As a side note, I was particularly impressed with the incredible waiter, Antonio (at Beck), who ensured, every morning that we were well looked after at breakfast and who seemed to be to the hotel who Alfred Pennyworth was to Batman. This hotel is definitely London's finest, especially for those who like to sit on the more "civilised" side of the restaurant. We look forward to our return. Regards, Karim Ford Sarhan

Overpriced. Positives are: great location, updated, spacious and quiet rooms. Negatives are: average service and competence, restaurant opens at 7AM, so aside from in-room-dining no breakfast. Breakfast buffet is average or below average. Tiny television display. One elevator only that runs extremely slow. In my opinion this hotel is not worth the price and cannot compete with a Four Seasons, Intercontinental or Park Hyatt.

Decent hotel, obviously well located. The rooms are comfortable and a decent size with good bathrooms. Not keen on the new products though- bring back the Ren! The staff are rather hopeless- from Receptionists to waiting staff they weren't great with the exception of one lovely porter. One particularly unfortunate concierge was a bit greedy for tips and rude when not forth coming not realising that I generally pay tips on leaving, English style- not each time like an American. I've known this hotel from before it was Rocco Forte for at least 25 years and it has slowly gone downhill over the years. The staff are clearly not well looked after and they grumble amongst each other when they think you're not listening about their conditions- Most off putting!

The "Afternoon tea" was fantastic. The staff was genuinely friendly and helpful. A classic English experience which we should share with family and friends. Truly historical. The bar & restaurant were superb. Understated elegance! A little pricey but worth the money. A Must do in London.

The prepared formal tea was absolutely wonderful! Finger sandwiches, bagels and lox, and small desserts were tasty and plentiful. The atmosphere was serene with the beautiful live piano music accompanying the impeccable service. Most tourists go to The Ritz, but those "in the know" go to Brown's Hotel.

This is such an amazing hotel! The rooms are incredibly comfortable and spotlessly clean. The service is impeccable and will exceed almost any expectations. The food and beverage is absolutely fantastic, as well. Even if you don't get to stay here I highly recommend coming for tea. It is an experience you shall not soon forget.

My wife and I stayed at Browns for five nights during our recent trip to Europe. The service was excellent, friendly and personal without being stuffy or too formal. We were upgraded to a spacious suite and our room was ready for us to get some much needed sleep by only 10.00am after an overnight transatlantic flight. Definitely recommended.

Had afternoon tea (again!) and it was all perfect (again). The sandwiches on a variety of breads are very fresh with quality and tasty ingredients, the jam is home-made daily as are the delicious scones. The only problem is making sure you remember to leave room for the luxurious cakes and patisserie afterwards! It's topped off by enjoying all this in the elegant and comfortable dining room and courtesy of the superb service. Thank you!

Christmas Lunch - expensive, unsurprisingly, but most enjoyable. As with all truly splendid hotels, and this is a truly splendid hotel, the most important factor, the one absolute essential is: THE STAFF.
In Brown's Hotel the staff are very, very good.
This reflects well on the management, and upon the owner Sir Rocco.

Have been here on many occasions - mostly recently for festive afternoon tea - much better than the likes of the Ritz imho. Great bar for pre drinks and their private rooms are lovely for private celebrations.

I had the traditional afternoon tea here and loved it. It's a great venue and the staff are incredibly polite, helpful and welcoming. The pianist is a lovely touch and we very much enjoyed listening to them.
The afternoon tea itself was delicious and additional supplies of sandwiches/scones are brought before you've even thought about wanting more! There is a brilliant choice of tea and you're provided with a sample of your chosen tea (in leaf form naturally) to take home with you.
It's a lovely place to celebrate a special occasion.

This has gone downhill. We used to enjoy spectacular afternoon teas here over the past 15 years. Unfortunately the quality/selection/service has gone downhill the last few years. Now the food is average but the cost is way more than double what it used to be. Great shame as we used to have it as a tradition to go here before every Christmas. We have now stopped this tradition.

Went to the becks at Browns restaurant and the food was beautifully cooked to perfection. My partner took me there on Valentine's Day and we had the tasting menu. 5 filling dishes, very colourful and very thoughtful. The interior of the restaurant was OK, could've been better designed. I didn't like the wall paper, It looked slightly odd having leaf wall paper around. Despite that, the seating was very comfortable and spacious. The staff were absolutely brilliant, they took care of us from the beginning till the end. Brilliant place to dine in and definitely worth trying the food. It was very very delicious. One of the best fine dines I've had so far.

We had come for an afternoon tea. My daughter took the "detox" and I took the normal. We had specified when booking that she is allergic to strawberries. Now we see a fruit platter arrive with ... strawberries. So we had to change the cakes and the fruit. The normal afternoon tea was very good, from sandwiches to cakes. The same cannot be said for the "detox" afternoon tea. The sandwiches were gluten free and frankly I wish I would never go celiac, it was really bad. . Personally I think we can make "detox" menus with normal bread. Gluten free cakes were no better. Add to that that I had to beg for a cup for my tea and that when we got our coats back, since we had not been given a ticket on arrival we thought we were going to leave in a little jacket.
