The Glass House has long been a favourite which previous reviews of mine have confirmed. However, a few days after lockdown and I'm disappointed... Normally, the best feature of this restaurant is the variety and quality of dishes on offer, but this evening's experience was dull and lacking. Ok, the reduced price for a set menu was understandable in the circumstances, but a rather stark environment along with such an unexciting menu left me feeling underwhelmed; unfortunately, this was not redeemed by the taste and quality of the cuisine either... 'Shame!

Lots of detail and attention paid to presentation paid throughout hotel and restaurant. Food was above average, even though they did not cook my steak correctly (medium rare was served medium well). Prices were fine and in line with an mid-upper cuisine.

As a architectural space the foyer and reception spaces along with the gallery and Library are stunning. Eating in the glasshouse was nice, but the food was just that... nice but not amazing I would say that it's expensive for what it is but a pleasant enough experience. Service was exceptional, apart from when the staff tried to keep our booking deposit in additional to the bill and looking confused that we had paid a deposit at all...very strange!

We didn't actually stay at the hotel, but had lunch at the Glasshouse and it was amazing. The food was fabulous and we didn't get around to try it all. The desserts were to die for and the space is fantastic! We really had a great time and will hopefully come back again.

I was taken to The Grove for breakfast as a treat from my girlfriend.

The selection of foods available was wide, ranging from pastries through to the traditional hot buffet.

The sausages and bacon in particular were really delicious, but everything was of a very high standard as you'd expect.

Best buffet anywhere outside of the West End. Lovely gardens. Not the cheapest but worth it.

Now getting old and tired, it struggles to keep it's original high status image. Unless you pull up in a Veyron and have a Amex black card, staff could care less about you, but still happy to charge top prices whilst looking down their nose. You can do better for the money.

The Stables restaurant ; the TV's were not working when we walked in, then we asked for some nuts and olives but they don't do them at the bar, and the wine is really over priced but the food was good.

Came here for a wedding, gorgeous venue in the summer time with plenty of flexible outdoor space. There were over 250 people at this function and during the reception service staff may have struggled slightly to keep up with the demand as food was late and needs for guests with young children were not addressed in a timely manner. Also make sure to pre-book transport out of there is you re not driving - Uber drivers find it hard to find the place particularly in the night time and will inevitably drop your ride, so standard cab companies in the Watford area will be better. Otherwise a beautiful place and day to celebrate a wedding.

It's a beautiful hotel, I use it to stop to charge my car, there are charging stations here. If you want to see a giant deckchair outside the reception it's here. Just arrived again to charge car, this place smells gorgeous, yet another beautiful flower display.

My friend and I visited the Grove on Friday evening for a few drinks in the Stables bar. The staff were friendly and found us a table and took our order. The bar has a good atmosphere and we enjoyed our evening.

A modern sophisticated makeover of The Glasshouse has made it even better than before. Buffet food continues to be outstanding, be it for the wide choice available, or the high quality of ingredients used. Stunning dessert display. Superb service. They saw me having crustaceans and automatically placed a finger bowl on my table.

Went for the buffet at The Glasshouse. Plenty of food (all you can eat) and choice was OK but not exhaustive. Quality good but not exceptional. Service was excellent though - very attentive. Would go for a la carte over the buffet if going again.

Claims to be one of the world's leading hotels, but my room lacked some finishing touches.

The room lighting didn't allow dimmed or subtle brightness, whereas other hotels have lots if lighting options. The wardrobe light hadvswitch that was tucked away, whereas others hotels have an automatic wardrobe light. The bathroom lights were all on or off, nothing in between.

The shower over the bath was fine, except the bath was high and with an odd shelf around the top it was difficult to step over. I'd prefer a walk-in shower.

There were no drawers or shelves in the wardrobe.

Overall the room was fine, but I expected more from 'one of the world's leading hotels'.

Food in the Glasshouse was excellent, as expected.
