So many fun things to do in this corner of Brooklyn - the park, the Brooklyn Museum, Brooklyn Library - and the botanical gardens are a standout, as well. So many great picture-taking opportunities and always very relaxing. They also have a lot of classes and workshops for kids and adults alike, on subjects from backyard chicken keeping to gardening to nature drawing. Plus the cafe food is actually really great.

The Brooklyn Botanical Garden, which covers 52 acres, likes to call it a Japanese park, because it has a Japanese mountain garden, more than 200 Asian cherry trees and 42 cherry blossoms, and celebrates the cherry blossom festival every weekend on the last weekend of April. The botanical garden features gardens, art galleries and white cast iron and glass aquatic plant houses. There are more than 10,000 flora in the park. There are cherry trees and various flowers and plants in many places and paths in the park. Different varieties are different. Time is blooming, so the whole spring and summer scenery is very beautiful and beautiful.

BEAUTIFULLY maintained! Perfect for a first date!

My only micro complaint would be I couldn t have a lid or straw with my iced coffee from the cafe... but I understand it s for environmental hazards.

Cactus and succulent exhibit ROCKED.

They have like the kind of flowers that are to drop dead for. I think that it was gorgeous and when I went with my father we both enjoyed the scenery. I think that anyone that is looking for a quite and peaceful time should try going to the Botanic Gardens.

I can't wait for cherry blossom this year. Since I became a member I may visit before the season so that I can avoid the crowd.

I like everything except I was told not to drink my coffee, which was in a pretty secure travel mug.

With the exception of the didactic area, for children and not, it is very large, quite dispersive and poorly maintained. There are spaces to relax but you can't pay $ 15 for this, just go to the central park. Very little cared for. Don't go in the summer because a lot is dry. If you are not really a botanist, drink a good beer for $ 15, there is also something going on.

I love strolling through the gardens. There so many different varieties of flowers and trees that I had never seen before. It is a wonderful place to spend several hours enjoying the magic of spring. I will be back.

This place is a really lovely alternative to schlepping to the Bronx to see that over-hyped green house. It has the added benefit of not being overwhelmingly large, while still providing a tranquil experience. Also, it s in a gentrifying part of Brooklyn so you ll be able to visit a few nice restaurants or explore a bar serving unique cocktails after. I especially love the Japanese Garden and the Rose Garden. Make sure to visit the gift shop, as they have some unique items. Memberships are only $100 for the year and they re good for the grounds of the Bronx Garden, if that s really your thing.

Wonderful to spend the day outside here. Romantic. Great for couples, and family with kids.Kids may do more running around than viewing all the beautiful flowers, bushes, plants, and trees. Less crowded during the weekdays and Tuesday is free day. Best season to go imo would be spring and fall. Beware allergy sufferers. Restrooms. wheelchair and stroller accessible. It was great even by myself. Like much.

A great spot to take your family or significant other. Entrance prices are pretty reasonable and you get to take in all the nature and variety of plants that this garden offers. Allocate at least 2 hours to sit and enjoy the experience here and then you are presented with many food, coffee options nearby if you need it.

This is a beautiful garden if you manage to come when there isn't a lot of construction and closed areas! The conservatory is definitely the highlight, showcasing plants from different environments all around the world. There are plenty of shady areas to sit and read or just enjoy nature as well. Not to mention that they often have events at night as well which are a lovely way to spend the evening.

Spectacular the path of the cherry trees in the month of May. Highly recommended to go with children the circuit for children with all kinds of activities very well thought out to encourage the restlessness by the nature.

A beautiful garden in the urban sprawl of Brooklyn. Highlights are in the spring and summer and especially during the cherry blossom festival. They recently have been performing a bunch of upgrades which has improved the garden. A nice visitor center, large and ample bathrooms. A great varied rose garden and lot's of greenspace. The highlight though is the cherry blossoms during cherry blossom season. A long esplanade of trees and a japanese pond and garden a few minutes walk away. Makes for great photography in the various parts of the garden. A minus though is that they do not allow picnicing in the garden so no food is allowed while you sit on your picnic blanket. Wondeful lillies as well by the fountains and greenhouse. A nice garden to visit in brooklyn to get back to nature.

It's a real nice place to visit, really relaxing. However the price is a bit steep in my opinion, certainly for in the summer when most flowers are done blooming. So I would suggest coming here in spring or fall, I think than it's totally worth the price and it should look really beautiful.

Loved this place! I love Botanical Gardens. The day I went, luckily, it was free. It seems that one day of the week is free. It's worth researching before you go and think about the right day!
