Such a great place to see wildlife in somewhat their natural habitats. Never been to the zoo before so this was my first time there, but I have to say it was a great experience! Really friendly staff and great tour guides who seem to be experts on all things Zoo related LOL it's only one bus ride there on the q44, but it could be a little tricky to find. Went on a Tuesday so the tickets could be a little expensive, however, found out that CUNY students get a significant discount. I think it's about 50% off or something like that. My sister and I would normally have to pay about $80 together, but it turns out we only paid 35 with our CUNY student discount. Who knew!? Great experience and would deff go again!

The Bronx Zoo is a awesome place to visit with you and your family and have a wonderful time I highly recommend it.but keep in mind bring your walking shoes you will be walking for days and you won't see everything that's how big the zoo is I have lived in the Bronx and visited the zoo on several occasions and I have not completely seen the whole zoo.

What an absolute incredible experience! The park is simply gorgeous, we kept walking around saying we re in New York?! The sea lion feeding was great and the kids loved it! Strongly recommend getting the total experience package, it s worth it just to visit the Congo and ride the carousel once!

You must not miss this experience. This is one of our family favorite spots in the world. We've been here three times and still haven't seen it all. Everytime we visit is a new adventure. The animals are very well kept and look healthy and happy. Their conservation and research labor is outstanding. I'll keep my subscription for years to come!!!

Love taking my kids to the zoo. Nature is something we all take for granted and reminds us that we are not the only creature that god created . Had a blast , it s great to see that the Bronx zoo haven t been on the decline . Would love to see the zoo get a remodel and expanded . Too many people and not ally of walking space . People rude , they bump u and don t even acknowledge!! Smh .

Went here for the first time. Heard it was one of the most see zoo s around, so me and my family decided to take a trip. Honestly, I could ve saved my money. Exhibits were down, animals were barely seen, the directions were terrible. The bears looked old and beat up. Too much walking with barely much to see. The Philadelphia zoo had more exciting things. At least there, the lions roam around a fenced in area throughout the park and tigers walk above you. I guess I just expected to see way more and get a better experience since it s considered one of the top zoo s. The only good thing about the zoo was the amount of restrooms and eating places.

it s not like it used to be. i understand it s hot outside but there were BARELY any animals outside. everything was closed. the animals i did see were hiding. the best part about my visit today was when i got on a shuttle to go somewhere, and then they made me get off, walk a few feet, and get back on the same shuttle to continue going along the trail bc it was a check point. although i was on the shuttle, i had to get off and get back in line. it s VERY confusing if you don t know anything about the park. the staff are very friendly but it s not worth it to be honest.

They have the COVID stuff well under control. Great, but expensive, day with the kids... Visit on a Wednesday if price is a concern, and hunt around on the website for the limited admission ticket since most of the special exhibits are closed in the winter.

It's a big place to walk. We upgraded the tickets to get the total experience and it ended up being an expensive activity. I think that everyone should at least pay for the train to move around.

It's awesome and so big. I have had been in this place many times and I have never been disappointed. It's a great place to go with family, kids and friends. You can go on Wednesdays for FREE.

The facilities and exhibits are amazing. The only drawback is the number of children who scream in every damn closed room which has nothing to do with the zoo. Amazing time when you escape the howling school groups.

I lived across the street from the Bronx Zoo many years ago haven't been there in over 30 years or more making plans to visit again with my great nephews it was a great place then and from what I seen on television series about the zoo I got to go see it soon so should everyone else.

Just got back from this amazing place! Best zoo by far that I've even been too! Visiting from Canada for a family vacation. There was hardly anyone there and our 4 hours there flew by far too fast!

Took a bus trip down. Glad I did because the group sales parking lot C was crazy! I suggest if driving in and not in a group use the other two parking lots. The only issue I had was we were given incorrect info from a worker, and treated like we were an inconvenience when we went to the wrong check in booth, but we were doing what we were told.

After the entrance confusion the experience was great from there. The exhibits for the animals were very well done for both the animals and humans. I was able to see all the animals, and the animals had amazing habitats built for them.

Peacocks roam free through out the park which is so cool.

Lots to eat, and stores. The park is actually really big. May not get done in a day.

I will go back to finish what I didn t see.

Its was my first time... and i loved it... but i think the should have wifi access for the guess and the shuttle was close... so walking with my litlle cousin of 4 year was a nightmare but over all, my visit was most memorable

2 stars for the Giraffes cuz we got to see them close up....otherwise the park has very few animals and a huge distance from one another aka too much walking and u can barely see the animals they are a mile away from where u can see 'em!!!!

One of the most magical places in New York, if not the entire USA. So much so that our family is now members of National Wildlife Association. So this way parking and entrance is free, we absolutely love this place, one of our favorite things to do in the zoo is the tram and the kids zoo.
(I don t like posting personal pictures of my family so sorry for the not so great pictures)

It's nice the first few times, but it seemed that some animals weren't being taken care of properly. It was kind of sad to watch, but most of it was really interesting and informative. My favorite exhibit was the reptile world, seeing the snakes and lizards up close was awesome.

I love the zoo and so do my 11/8/3 yo kids, but I docked a star because it was crowded and people were ignoring spacing needs. Signs were everywhere, but ppl are the worst. I felt unsafe for my family several times.

Amazing exhibits, friendly and knowledgeable staff. This is a wonderful place for a family day or a date. Food prices are a bit high, so with little ones bring snacks. The prices go towards supporting the zoo, so still worth it.

The Bronx Zoo is wonderful! We love how they care about conservation and how they care for their animals. Many times you forget you are visiting a zoo as it feels that you are just exploring wildlife in their natural habitat.

Even when you aren't exploring and learning more about these beautiful creatures that roam our earth, you get to just watch the waterfalls, hike a bit, and just take in the quiet calm of nature away from the city.

We love it here and highly recommend you visit...
