Gets my vote for single best restaurant in Houston. Old world charm, creative dishes, spectacular service, elegant but not stuffy. And the pralines, wow. Wonderful for 40+ years but never tiresome always fresh.

I am a long time Brennan s customer and had booked a table for seven for my mother in laws birthday. The experience was an unmitigated disaster. Absolutely terrible service. We sat next to a table with two ladies that were blitzed drunk and were very loud. They actually fell asleep at the table but when they woke up they went on a tirade about millennials with several f-bombs and the c-word. When I told management they said they would take care of it but they did nothing. The ladies fell asleep again at the table which was actually a welcome relief. I thought i was in the twilight zone for a restaurant this nice clearly over serving their clientele with alcohol. After two plus hours and still not being through with the dinner I demanded the check and we left. One of the worst restaurant experiences I have endured. Adding insult to injury we had to wait in a long line to get our car and have to pay $5 for valet. What a joke. Sad to see a Houston institution fall so far in customer service. If I could give less than one star I would.

Celebrating a friends birthday, I've heard of the place but never been, its pricey but not crazy pricey but then again you get what you pay for. I had the dry aged ribeye and it was really good, wife had filet mignon and was extremely tender. Highly recommend, service was spot timely and professional.

An upscale, fine dining creole restaurant. We celebrated my sister's birthday here. I had their pork tenderloin dish with mashed potatoes. It was tender and flavorful, but for some reason I expect more. For special occasions or any occasion, you should try this restaurant at least once.

I have a feeling if it wasn't for my rich side of my family I probably wouldn't be able to eat at this place but I have to say it was pretty good food I really wanted to try the turtle but sadly I was off to do something else inhaling another type of food that caught my eye I have to say their food is amazing I wish I can eat everything on that menu but I have a feeling you're probably it's a one-time deal like I would never go to that place again since it was too high class for me I'm not kidding like one of the meals was like at least 50 bucks or 100 but it was totally worth it my favorite part was they had a plate of cookies for anyone who came in or left I thought that was kind of funny also I thought you like to know if you're in Ingress player their Fountain in the courtyard of the place is a portal if anyone wants to take control of it or harvest it thought you guys like to know that especially if you Ingress players out there.

Excellent food and service. A classy, comfortable restaurant with an emphasis on southern/cajun seafood. Expect commensurate prices, however!

One of my favorite restaurants in Houston! Consistent with their quality every time I've been here. The food is on point with flavor and presentation, no matter what you order on the menu. Service is unbeatable, as the staff is always smiling and accommodating. The bartenders are great! Sociable and able to remember the perfect drink that they concoct for you! I always recommend Brennans to anyone that's looking for a great place to eat in Houston!

One cannot go wrong with choosing Brennan's for any meal. They have stood the test of time, and fires. With consistent dishes, top notch service, and beautiful surroundings, you get what you pay for. I would recommend taking advantage of their lunch specials. Especially if you happen to have the rest of the day off. Every weekday lunch, with the purchase of an entree, you are able to get their best kept secret 25-cent martini special (3 limit per person). If you can't make it for lunch, it's a great place for any special occasion, holiday, date, etc. You get it. The combination of traditional Cajun dishes and quality ingredients impresses every time. You simply cannot live in Houston and not have dined at Brennan's.

One of the best brunches in Houston. Great atmosphere that reminds you of its namesake in New Orleans. Live music, good service, solid food. A bit pricey, and parking can be a challenge.

Visited today for brunch after being away for several years. I would have given 5+ stars but unfortunately my absolute go to favorite is the turtle soup was cold...room temp at best pretty disappointed..i thought maybe they would light the sherry but that didn't happen either. Oh well...we had a wonderful time enjoyed the trio music , brunch and bananas foster.

Good food. However, there was an outdoor wedding scheduled. It started to rain and Brennan's had no plan B. The wedding party crammed into the bar and entry area, ruining it for the patrons there.

Went here a year ago very nice upscale place very pricey but I think it s worth it for the service and area would be a nice place to take your wife on a romantic date too Gumbo was great and bartender was nice You feel rich when you go here I feel

This is where my husband and I go for special occasions (birthday, anniversary, celebration, etc). I love the food, service, and ambiance. I can't wait until we have our next special occasion so we can come back!!!

This place is fantastic. A lovely piece of New Orleans in Houston's midtown. The service is incredible and the food is delicious. There is a reason that this has been a Houston institution for generation. Definitely try the bananas foster, as they make it tableside.

Brennan's is the definition of old-school charm and class. Low ceilings with chandeliers, high-backed leather chairs, and a roaming live jazz trio make sitting in the main dining room a must. I've been going here with family since I was a child, and I can confidently say that the food and service have never been anything shy of excellent. Creole staples mix with culinary inventiveness to make even familiar dishes just a bit different. The turtle soup is without a doubt the best in Houston. Don't forget to grab some of their to-die-for pralines on the way out!

Creole here - great. I've had nothing but great experiences here and will keep coming back. This place has a cool atmosphere. Wish it was closer to my house, I would come every week.

We had a great time celebrating a birthday. The frog legs were huge. The oxtails weren't what we expected. The steak could be cut w a butter knife and was divine. Service excellent and attentive for the most part. Unlike many restaurants nowadays, they seated us before our full party arrived. That was great. No hassle. It was a bit odd how they separated our drinks from our food on 2 different bills and taxed each... separately. But they combined them w one tax once we gave our cards to Francisco (love him).

It's been awhile since I've been to Brennan's and I will definitely go back and recommend it to others. Few things are better than an upscale place that doesn't act like it's better than its patrons.

Fancy fancy place! A bit on the pricey side but to be expected. A excellent choice for anniversaries and special events. Food was amazing, Lord help me I forget our servers name but, if you could give ratings for people I'd give a 4 out of 5.

The food is amazing! The service is very nice and helpful and gave us some tips for where to go. The food is very unique and tasty and is good If you want to have a nice, formal meal.

Date night: this is a great place for their ambiance and food. My wife and I love coming here. The staff is on point and extremely helpful. We rarely have any issues getting to our table or getting our car from Valet.

Corporate event: as stated above, Brennan s staff does a great job directing guest to their areas and making them feel welcome. We have been to many events at this location and they have done a great job. Staff members are punctual and responsive when we are in need of anything.

Brennan s keep it up! The food is delicious for both small and large events and it s always perfect. Location is great also!

Wonderful CS will to go the extra mile to make your event amazing. Husband and I shared our one year wedding anniversary! We were married there last year.

A true example of fine Southern dining! Although our meal was pretty heavy, the flavors were definitely all there. Comparable to the original Brennan's in Louisiana.

The food and service were better before Hurricane Ike. I know the owner and many of the staff. I love the 777 Happy Hour and the Brennan's BeeLine. I brought friends visiting from Chicago a few months ago. We spent several hundred dollars on wine and appetizers. They were disappointed in food items.

So far the service is questionable. We are 4 African American Women present to enjoy HRW. So far we haven t been greeted or offered a menu. However, I have sat patiently observing the conduct towards others that have arrived after we did and have already been assisted. I m puzzled as to why this is the issue. I had to ask for the waiter. I had to ask for a menu. Behavior I am not accustomed to when visiting a restaurant of this caliber. I m very disappointed and pray the food is no match to the subpar service received thus far. Having waited to enjoy this place for a while, I hate to be discouraged from returning because of the service to people enriched with melanin.

My wife and I love this place! Very upscale and classy. The venue is gorgeous and stunning, the waitstaff is gracious and attentive, and the food is absolutely exquisite! I love and recommend their Creole Spiced Ribeye, you won't regret it! The seafood gumbo here is also worth the try!

One of the best restaurants in Houston. The fixed price menus are here are always an excellent deal. And all of the tableside cooked are a really fun experience. Great brunch spot!

Our first time here and it was a wonderful experience. All the staff from the hostess who greeted us and the guy who brought our bread and the wine server were very friendly and chatty. Our waitress Nina was very knowledgeable about the menu items and recommended the duck when the item I had come to taste (the lamb combo) was unfortunately not available.The food was tasty and delicately balanced in flavour. My wife and I rarely get to go out on a date with differing schedules and two young kids, but we had a truly wonderful experience.

Ask for Thomas and Corey, they were outstanding! The service was top notch and the food was amazing! I hate bananas but the Banana Foster that Corey made was amazing. They even start off with a teaser, sliced tomato top with crab meat, micro greens, olive oil and balsamic vinegar was a great starter. On the shrimp bisque, I wish the shrimp was bigger but the flavor was amazing. The Steak Diana was tender melt in your mouth on top of creamy mashed potatoes. And the best deal was $.25 martinis was strong and well balanced. I will definitely have to come back.

One of our favorite places to go to celebrate special occasions like Mother's Day, Anniversary's etc! I'm from Louisiana originally so was very familiar with the Brennan's restaurants. The restaurant does a great job of welcoming you and providing a top notch experience and fusion of South Texas and Louisiana foods!!

Great place for celebrations, engagements, anniversaies, graduation dinners etc... The atmosphere is very classy and elegant but not too high brow.
The food is amazing, from the salads, soups and entrees to the desserts! I recommend the bananas foster. Also, they refill your glass as soon as it is half way gone but they are never obtrusive. The staff is very accommodating and well educated in the what goes into the food.
Easily the best high end Cajun food in the Houston area and maybe in Texas.
