Celebrated my husbands birthday here. I booked the chefs table. Our dinner was 5 courses with dessert. The food was overall really well seasoned and good. The only dish I did not care for was a steak dish that was served southwestern style. It had picked bell peppers, beans, corn, other yucky stuff, and on top were slices of medium well steak. Too many strong flavors if your trying to enhance the steak. The chefs table area was clean and plain. It is sectioned off with glass walls. Wish it was more comfortably decorated. The atmosphere was kinda like a meat market/ kitchen. It was a nice experience, kitchen was clean, service was over the top amazing. My husband was very happy! I love Brennan's! Thank you Daniel

After a wonderful experience at the Brennan's in New Orleans we thought it would be a good idea to try the Houston location. The restaurant was beautiful and the service was excellent. The food was also great as well. The Gulf Fish Pontchartrain was excellent, with the only negative that the shrimp on the dish felt like a bit of an afterthought. The Crab Bisque was excellent, as was the Bananas Foster and the White Chocolate Bread Pudding. The bread was also amazing. Overall it was an excellent meal.

A good restaurant by reputation and there wasn't anything on my visit that detracted from that reputation. However I felt that the restaurant had expectations of the customer rather than the customer having expectations of the restaurant. I.e. some arrogance.

A place for special occasions, but not my style for a nice relaxed meal.

This is the place to go to if you want to be well treated. Brennan's is at the top of the game for fine dining in Houston. You know it has to be quality if it has been a treat for generations of Houston families. I make a point of getting the turtle soup every time I go. My brunch favorite is always Eggs Benedict, but when I go for dinner, I like to try their specials because they are always unique. They also offer a theater district shuttle. If you're catching a show or the symphony, they we take you to the theater and pick you up after it's over. Definitely a perk, but you have to book the shuttle in advance.

Food was excellent! Robbie Rodriguez was very accommodating. Our party was late arriving and the kitchen had closed, however he reopened the kitchen and all our guest were able to enjoy the delicious food! Thank you Robbie! Kudos to you. I wish all managers were as accommodating as you were.

I love this restaurant! Stylish and tasty food. I love the soup they serve us but for the exact name of that soup. I was with my family here yesterday as one of my friends recommended this place. We enjoy the food, the service and the entire restaurant with how it looks like. Amazing! I can highly recommend this place to dine in with your family and friends.

Bananas Foster. Now that the best dessert has been named, the rest of the food was fantastic, as well. We went during Houston Restaurant Weeks. Everything was delectable, but the fun fanfare of having bananas foster cooked up table-side was fun and fantastic. The beignets were really good, too, with a dulce de leche dipping sauce.

I really dug the vibe of the restaurant overall: southern/Louisianan decor and classy enough to wear a jacket and have your car valeted but also relaxed enough to where it felt right to eat a couple pralines on the way out (no regrets).

The food was excellent as usual. However, my wife and another of us ordered bread pudding for dessert. They were given something different (not even sure what it was). My wife hadn't been there before, so she assumed this was your take on bread pudding. When I asked about it, our waiter acknowledged the mistake, but then they brought each of them half the correct dessert. Bush league imo for such a nice restaurant.

I have been going to Brennan's for over forty years. The service was good.

Why does a quality restaurant have floppy paper menus, my local mexican restaurant has better quality menus. The food had was tasteless , the vegetables were limp and soggy. The pie crust was hard as a rock I could not break it with a fork. The food tasted like it came off a sysco truck and dropped on your plate. My wife and I will not be going back.

We had a lovely dinner/wedding ceremony in the Solarium and Little Room last weekend. It was fantastic from beginning to end, and the staff was amazing. Thanks to our coordinator, Linda Pham, and serving Captain, Jin, it was the perfect experience for a small wedding with fabulous food!

Me and my soon to be hubby David Salazar went here for Houston Restaurant Week and it was such a wonderful experience! From the ambience, to our waiter, and the food! The food was delicious! Had to pocket some pralines on the way out. Overall, such a great experience and great night. This is our go to spot from now on for our anniversary.

Brennan's has always been one of our favorite Houston restaurants and the service has always been first class until Saturday night. My wife and I celebrated our 34th anniversary with dinner at Brennans. After being put in the smaller room, we found the service to be subpar. Our order was wrong, the head waiter barely stopped by to check on us, and it took 30 minutes to get the bill. Leftovers were thrown together in one box and we got pralines with some fruit as our complimentary dessert. The food was excellent but great service make the dining experience a reason to come back again.

Brennan's definitely caters to the classic, classy, back in the heyday wealthy demographic which is not to say is a good or bad thing. Part of the decor is elegant but there are enough areas that compound earth tones to a fault. Our food during lunch...my wife and I ordered chicken and filet mignon. I have to grade the food according to what should be expected from an establishment of this tier. The chicken should be hot, very moist and left with a thin crispy skin. Instead, it was warm, on the tougher side and small pockets of fat. A touch of salt would have brought the flavors to life. The flavor of the filet was lacking and it wasn't tender enough to slice through easily. Although we were disappointed, we will be back in hopes that Brennan's redeems itself. This review has been edited to accurately reflect my experience here as I did have some information mixed with Brenner's.

This is a great restaurant in Midtown that has been around forever, and it is just as great and beautiful as ever. The menu is great, the drinks are great, and so is the service. The dining room is so beautiful with big, comfortable chairs. It is also a great value for what you get compared to other restaurants with this caliber, The bananas foster is prepared tableside and is a must for dessert, I always look forward to getting that, I would say they are also known for their turtle soup and their pontchartrain. This is a place I like to dress up nice and go for Sunday brunch or dinner. They are also known for their Sunday brunch You know a restaurant is good when they have been in business forever!

Very good business lunch. Food excellent, atmosphere super. Would have gone five stars but the well intentioned waiter kept interrupting our discussions, at one point continued to talk over our guests, simply getting louder to be heard to recite the specials. In other words, good service but not world-class.

I was so exited to try this place and I must of gone when there was a shift change because everyone from the front greeter to the bartenders were in a bad mood. I was so ready for a good time but basically I felt a little ignored but on my way out the Pralines made me kinda forget about my experience. Hoping maybe some day to return and catch a better vibe.

Service was soooooo slow, I almost left after waiting 15 minutes for someone to take our drink order, but I did not want to embarrass my sweetie. The tomahawk pork chop was very tough. My girls crab covered filet was pretty good. Probably won't go back again. Plenty of other spots in town.

Be prepared to make less then $8.50 an hr. every week if they give you a position as a runner. This is a hiring review, an the tips are not a proper share... They even have to adjust your hourly pay if the tips can't make atleast minimum wage. via state law.

Today I had brunch with my family to celebrate my 45th wedding anniversary.

In a nutshell the experience was dreadful.

Service was poor and the food mediocre at best and cold.

The lady who was our server was not attentive and several times I had to flag another server to bring something I had ordered, a drink etc.

I have been at Brennan's many times and this particular one left us unhappy and disappointed on what should have been a happy occasion.

The ambiance here is extremely exceptional. They really do take care of their customers. You pay $5 for valet parking but you can go to the bar and get cash. The shrimp chippewa was finger licking good. I recommend setting a reservation prior to coming. The entire staff was nothing short of amazing. The food is pricey but you get your money's worth. Hands down one of the best restaurants in Houston.

I went into Brennan s today hoping to take advantage of the Houston Restaurant Week but then the other items in the menu caught my eye. I have to give a huge shoutout to Charles, one of the most professional yet nicest servers I ve ever met. He kindly recommended me turtle soup and shrimp and grits as my choices of starter and entree. And on man I m so glad I followed Charles suggestion because both dishes were amazing. The soup was a bit saltier than I usually prefer but it was not of a huge portion so I can deal with that. The shrimp and grits was just amazing: the shrimps were fresh, the flavor was on the spot and it was of a decent portion that would fill you up but not in a over-stuffed way. My only regret though, was I went for my usual choice and got a slice of lemon meringue pie. But when I saw Charles so professionally preparing bananas foster for the other table I made a promise to myself that I d be back soon for that dessert. Maybe for dinner next time though.

Gorgeous ambiance, wonderful staff, excellent food and great prices! Everything is great! The Blanca's Beef Tips (lunch menu) were excellent. Tender and flavorful and served over Yukon Gold mashed potatoes. The garlic bread is really good and the cheesecake is superb.

Useful tips: This is not Chili's so proper attire is required. They have valet parking. Reservations are recommended. And don't forget to grab a praline candy on the way out the door!
