Great selection, helpful staff, and a beautiful building.
Make sure you visit the entire shop, both up and down stairs. If you have kids, that section is rather large and can keep you busy. Good selection of magnets, chocolate, and stuffed animals as well.

First off, this place is small but plenty of room to walk around and browse. The small space is more than made up for with three floors of books of all types. A truly remarkable collection of books of a great variety that will keep you constantly interested and looking at everything, including the used and bargain book selections. Do yourself a favor and cut out a broad swath of time to look through this place, it is well worth it!
While no place can truly compete with Tattered Cover Bookstore in Denver, this place is a resounding and very close second place! I highly recommend both places

Cool spot, place was really crowded. I was visiting Colorado and stopped here to get a crossword puzzle book for the plane home. I thought it would be cheaper than the airport, boy was I wrong. Turns out the airport was less.

It's a big old bookstore with an antique feel. I docked them a star though because they asked me to stop telling children that they could reach Diagon Alley by running head first into the book shelf at the back of the second floor.

The Boulder bookstore website only (that I could find in several different locations) listed a very old telephone number that really is a personal number of a person not affiliated with Boulder Bookstore.
Please update your website that google sends one to. Thank you ,

Spend an evening, or two or three soaking up the warm and eclectic atmosphere of this literary zone. You will find books here that you can't track down anywhere else, and there are lots of great nooks and crannies to peruse them. The staff goes out of their way to help you, if you can't find what you are looking for. Thank you Kevin McCarthy for helping me find the book I had in mind, even though I didn't know the author or exact title! And don't miss the unique speakers and authors who come here to share their latest projects.

Great selection of books and a really helpful staff. Right now (During COVID) the store is open at a lower capacity. I was worried I'd feel rushed to leave given the lower capacity but didn't and was able to find everything I came in for and more!

This place needs a map & compass to navigate, but not Jack Sparrow's compass as I'll never be able to leave. They have rooms upon rooms of awesome books, anything from used discount section near front entrance to about any section of books you wish to lose yourself in. This store seems more like a library with requirement to purchase instead of just checking them out.

Wow... what an overwhelming amount of books. Three floors filled with multiple rooms, shelves, and tables of books. Truly a remarkably large space that you don't expect from the outside looking in. The classic book store had classical music softly humming in the background and is located in the middle of the chic tourist hub, Pearl St. The books are pricy, but the store offers a large sale section per floor. I found two books from the sale section that I liked along with a book light. I am very disapointed with the book light. It glitches a lotttt. Overall, the place is a relaxing environment that I will probably go back to.

Three entire floors of everything you could ever want to read. Book selections include almost every conceivable topic, ranging from astrophysics to cook books. Great atmosphere, and friendly staff. Being in an outside mall, there is no parking, but the walk to here is worth it.

The Last of The Mohicans. A REAL BOOKSTORE. A RARE GEM. Tons of selections, from magazines to books to gifts. Housed in a wonderful building on Pearl Street, this bookstore is in the heart of it all, a multi level book playground, easy to spend hours in. Support it or it will vanish!

Local bookstore is a Boulder institution. Recommendations by staff are a great help in selecting a title from the thousands of options. Be sure to check out the extensive children's section.

I couldn't believe how huge this place was, and even though we were there on a busy Sunday, once you got past the initial register area the place was actually quite relaxing with plenty of space to browse. Although we didn't buy anything (not much of book readers), we could have probably left with a bag of books just because we found some interesting stuff. I'd definitely come back here.

Great local bookstore with 3 floors to explore! They are a bit more expensive than you might find elsewhere, but it feels worth slight extra cost to support this Boulder fixture. The also have a really good used and sale section with lower prices books. I like getting holiday and birthday gifts here for their gift wrap station in the basement.

2 different people went out of their way to help me find appropriate children's books. One was a librarian who specializes in children's books! Very knowledgeable. Liked the wrapping station downstairs where you can wrap your own packages with papers and ribbons to choose from.

I saw this store on Pearl and decided to go in to check it out. On my way out of exiting the store(without purchasing anything ) the alarm goes off as I'm walking out and I turn around, the woman at the desk asks to check my bag although I most certainly didn't steal anything. I was very offended didn't feel like that was professional or appropriate. Instead of accusing an innocent person shoplifting maybe you should get store surveillance or more people on the floor to monitor costumers. I feel victimized and I feel like that was a very unprofessional.
