Love this neighborhood bookstore, so hard to find one these days. They always have a great selection of books on sale so I make it a habit to stop by and see what's available whenever I'm in town.

Great old-fashioned local independent bookstore, with all kinds of books piled floor to ceiling, staff picks and recommendations. Lots of browsing opportunity - 3 floors of book store, and it's right here on the Pearl Street Mall. The soul of boulder.

Still one of the best indoor experiences in Boulder. Broad interests, yet nicely curated collections of books, puzzles, clothing and more. Our brief stops to browse can turn into an hour or more, and we never leave empty handed.

Awful selection of Christian literature, unless you're looking for books from a humanist perspective.
But, if you're looking for an abundannt selection of books on witchcraft, the metaphysical, etc. then this is the place for you.
I understand Boulder is a liberal town but the ownership obviously doesn't believe in 'coexisting' with everyone and providing quality products to everyone. It's unfortunate for so many potential new customers. Just trying to understand this business approach.

Went here for the first time yesterday and was mesmerized by the huge variety of genres they offer. I wish we lived in the area so we could visit here all of the time! The staff was very friendly too. We could have spent all day here!

Super cool old bookstore for wandering around. Large selection and pretty quick turnover/restocking of the books. They also offer used books at reasonably competitive prices. I find myself stopping by here pretty much every time I'm in the Pearl St Mall area

What a treasure in downtown Boulder! The place is huge and there are a few "hidden" areas. Their is a large ballroom upstairs that is filled with books along the walls and has space for presentations, etc. I loved being in there just wandering the stacks of books. The staff was very friendly and the books are reasonably priced. What a great place to spend 1.5 hours.

Fun place to hang, browse, and shop! We were here on a Monday afternoon around 4pm and it wasn't that busy. The first floor is where most of the customers are milling about. My favorite section is the toys/children's area. They have an interesting selection of toys and creative things on the first floor. We entered at their 11th Street door and exited through their Pearl Street door which is where the checkout is. The 11th Street door is where you go to sell them your books, or at least that's what I overhead someone doing. The second floor contains mainly adult fiction/nonfiction books and is somewhat quiet with one or two other groups of people. Near the second floor entryway, they have this cool Buddha Board for test play that is tempting to buy. The third floor is where the zen space is, from floor pillows, meditation books, incenses, to massaging tools you can try before buying. I was tempted to buy the cedar incense but checked reviews and decided it was cheaper to purchase online. However I did end up buying some erasers that were the same as manufacturer prices and cheaper than Amazon. I also bought this cute, tiny figurine with no barcode and the cashier scanned it as a $1.50 author button instead of the marked $0.75. I didn't realize this until I left so make sure to check your receipt. Overall: a very eclectic, cozy place to hang.

Loved this place! The atmosphere and the structure itself lend an uplifting hand to the browsing experience. The selection is good, the prices are reasonable, and whilst the you-know-who chain uses florescent lights and perfect ninety-degree angles to bleach a bit of the joy out of your brick-and-mortar experience, the Boulder Book Store has shadows and nooks and crannies and oddly shaped spaces that make wandering about a delight.

horrible place. Kicked me out for being in the store a few hours and not buying any items. I have severe health issues and the bookstore few places I feel comfortable, but apparently me being in the store perusing made the staff feel uncomfortable. Manager decided to follow me around the store and accost me for not having any items in hand.

Absolutely fantastic local bookstore! Prices are generally at MSRP, but the selection and extremely helpful staff make this well worth a visit, especially if you're interested in browsing rather than just finding a specific title. The kids section is among the best.

Love the climate and the precautions they're currently taking. I also enjoy the employees getting excited when I ask about a book and then hurry to recommended multiple more authors that I might like. Prices are noticeably higher than you'll find online, but I think it's more than worth the price to support them.

Great independent bookstore, nice variety of books, eclectic atmosphere and stocked from the basement to the second floor with, not just current reading but also fun little things you really don't need but can't leave without.

This bookstore is 3 stories and great to browse. They are very strict with covid guidelines. It's counterintuitive in such a place to not sit and read, but that is life in a pandemic. Charming surroundings, helpful staff.

Awesome little book store. Has a very interesting selection of books that you wouldn't find anywhere else. Lots of little nooks to get lost in and it's easy to sink a few hours into just browsing through the store. Highly recommend popping in here if you haven't been in before. Nice staff and kept clean.

Cool place for maps. They have maps of Mexico. They have maps of Utah. They even have a ton of maps of Canada. The book selection wasn't super diverse but they had a few interesting reads. I wish they carried a more diverse selection.

Cute and quiet, much larger than you'd think at first glance, as there are hidden rooms and corners, upstairs and basements. You're practically guaranteed to find the book you want here, and you'll enjoy finding it

This place was amazing! They have three floors of books, and a truly great selection. They also seem to have great deals on used books placed throughout the store. If you love books, this is a great place to visit.

I love seeing a thriving independent bookstore. They have a good selection of graphic novels for kids and Safari figurines which brought my kids in. The staff I spoke to in the back were not exactly knowledgeable but they tried.
