Automobile Association of Singapore (AAS) Review

Remaining retail branch of the AAS. Good location directly across MRT. Main retail business activity seems to be IDP. Efficient.

No one pick up phone. Talking to machine for 20 minutes. Zero service !

Called for help in heavy rain. Tow truck came. Tow to Defu lane and just left car and person there with no shop opened. Then tow truck driver said not his problem as he was following AA instruction. Called AA, they say since no longer member, also cannot help and hung up! What happened to customer service and opportunity sign up member on the spot?!

Make sure that you get things done here. The staff is real old

I enjoyed my experience meeting with Ken at your center who assisted me in my issues. While not all issues were resolved, he gave me confidence that it shall be followed up to my fullest satisfaction by the level of professionalism Ken demonstrated. Ken acknowledges that my prior experience does require some improvements but he does not identify his collaegue nor bad-mouths her. I am impressed by his attentiveness, his service, his patience and above all the professionisalism many can learn from.

They have plan to relocate to Hoy Fatt Road vicinity. The present location has limited open space parking at the rear.

Came here to get my International Driving Licence. Super efficient took all of 10min from start till end (there were about three other customers). The official website suggests about one hour for the process (maybe during peak hour?), and if you're really that unlucky, at least the waiting area is white comfortable and there's a cafe next door. The customer service rep was very pleasant and helpful as well! By the way, you can either let them take a quick headshot (free) or you can bring your own.

Not easily accessible. Unfriendly staff likes to judge fellow customers from behind the counter.

Fast and efficient service. Took me less than 30 minutes to complete the whole process applying an IDP for myself and on behalf of my wife. If you want to look good in your IDP mugshot, suggest you bring a passport photo because the application is completed on an iPad. Even the photo-taking!

Very good service to get international driving license

One of the so called benefits of AA is fuel discount with its partner Caltex.

I did a check comparing Caltex with SPC.

Result? SPC is cheaper.

AA has to review its fuel discount benefit. Perhaps a better partner is SPC?

Went in during lunchtime to collect my 5-year membership renewal gift... a Blackvue dashcam. All done very quickly and efficiently.

Then remembered to renew my International Driving Permit (IDP) for a riding holiday coming up soon. I thought it would take long to fill in the forms and take a photo BUT to my pleasant surprise:
- the form was filled in using one of the i-Pads on site
- all I needed to do was fill in my DOB and NRIC, and all my records came up
- no physical photo was needed as the i-Pad took a selfie, which was automatically printed on to the IDP.

All I can say is... WOW!

I sent an email to enquire about membership a week ago but have not got any response.

AA doesn t respond to feedback I noticed. It fights shy engaging members. Why?

Maybe it s the festive season or the pandemic.

Now I don t want to sign up.

This is a great place issuing International Driving Permits. Very efficient and fast service, just walk in and within minutes you will have your permit!

Application for international driving permit is fast and fuss free. The staff there even help to rake your photo for you!

Efficient and effective! Within one minute, I applied for an IDP (International Driving Permit) through a notepad, and had my photo taken FOC! You may also upload your own copy. The IDP was collected within 15 minutes (from start to finish). It was totally hassle free with no queue. Ample parking lots and proximity to the hawker centre (currently under renovation) is an added bonus.

The call centre (6333 8811) is horrible. Hang up after 20 mins of waiting without a response from their end.

Modern Office and counter-staff are very helpful and friendly.

A nice and cosy place to get international license papers

After paying so long for AA membership, I just found out they don't handle commercial vehicles? They should handle all vehicles that their member own

Prompt and friendly service. 5 minutes to process the IDP as it was empty on a weekday morning.

Can buy varieties of car gadgets besides being a member. Members can buy with discount.

Never disappoints! My car couldn't start earlier this week, a quick call was responded by friendly lady to assist me in sending a yellow van down.

The gentlemen tested my battery and confirms its dead and I had one replaced on the spot! Super convenient!!!

Useless membership. Towing services only applicable if battery dead or run out of gas. Towing to scrap yard and repair are chargeable services. No point signing up in Singapore. Get to know a reputable workshop or mechanic. Save using the middleman.

You can apply for an international driver s license here, although you only bring your local driver s license and ID card, where will take pictures for you, the cost is about 20 yuan? .

Fast service for Buying international Drivers permit.

Very efficient IDP service. It took less than half a hour to get the IDP on weekday. Valid 1 year. Applicants must go down personally to apply since they need to take a portrait photo on the spot.

$20 fee can be paid by either cash or nets. By filling the digital application form on the spot. Drivers can get fussy free service and save time. Much much better than Italy embassy agent.

Very efficient service. I went at an off-peak hour and got my International Driving license very quickly. Make sure you have your driving license and identity card with you otherwise you won't be able to get it done. Oh and bring a recent passport photo. That's if you want an International license.

Great location with newly open MRT station + existing hawker/food center, which renovated recently, but cleanliness can to be improved.

Fast and efficient service. The IDP Process is pretty well streamlined. Getting your car insurance done is also quite fast- just don't get into the first line you see - that's likely fo the IDP application! Parking along Kallang Bahru is plentiful (went at lunch time). Food places also good, with some pretty good food nearby- read the other reviews! Only minus is that the Blk 69 Wet Market and Cooked Food Centre is closed for a pretty long renovation .
