Boston Symphony Hall Review

Beautiful hall with amazing acoustics. Sadly the left and right balcony make it impossible to see half the stage. I understand keeping the authenticity, but there has to be a way to improve this!

The Boston Pops are amazing! Brought my 12 year old son and we had a blast. Great memory.

I attended Tufts Night at the Pops. It was a grand time. The dinner there planned especially for alumni was excellent.

This was my first time going to a symphony Hall, and it was amazing! The building is beautiful and historic, and the orchestra sounded like I was listening to a studio recording.

Beautiful place. Had a wonderful time and the audience were some of the best I've seen compared to other shows. So much so, the cellist came back for an encore.

I came here to watch the Boston Pops during the holidays and this symphony DID NOT DISAPPOINT. It was a fun time and this hall has such a historical feeling to it.

The hall is both beautiful too look at and listen to. The lighting in there along with the intricate architecture and ornamentation nearly match the high quality of the sound produced by any group performing on stage. There is this really wonderful decay of the sound that occurs that maintains the quality of the sound but that lingers so that you still hear it after it has dissipated, like a memory. That is not to say that it does not project because you will hear the finest sounds within the texture regardless of dynamic. Couple that with a group as skilled as the Boston Symphony, and you get a truly marvelous experience.

We experienced the Boston Pops. They were fun and entertaining. Very talented musicians. Symphony Hall was not what I expected. Main floor seating at the table-lets was uncomfortable and extremely crowded. The food was terrible. Wouldn't order another bite of it. Drinks are fine, but eat before you arrive.

Nice concert hall, I have been here for a number of shows. I would say the easiest parking is the garage by whole foods. They do a great job decorating for the holidays. This is the home of the Boston Pops. The balcony seats are great seats with a great view. The acoustics are great in the hall. Would reccomend seeing a show here if you have an opportunity.

Always the best of the best!! Whst could be any better than Christmas Pops at Symphony Hall!!

Absolutely exceptional experience. I attended the opening night of the Symphony 2016-17 season. The hall is a gorgeous building inside and out. The staff were exemplary. The cocktail food and drink before the show were all amazing. The Symphony Orchestra, under the Andris Nelsons, and featuring Lang Lang, was perfect and performed an emotional and technically astounding all-russian program. The seating in the hall is very comfortable, and all corners of the hall seemed acceptable for viewing. I whole heartedly recommend your attendance if you're able to fit it into your time in Boston.

They manage to make the holiday pops inspiring and magnificent every year! Familiar favorites mixed with amazing new works, performed with perfection and pizzazz.

This hall is amazing. It is built perfect for orchestras and other music pieces. The have a couple of bars with snacks and free coat check. The also have a little shop for finger food during intermissions. I will always come back to enjoy the musical pieces conducted by Andrew Nelson.

Historical. Comfortable seats. Amazing sound. Everyone who works/volunteers there is so pleasant and helpful.

Staff are friendly and venue is quite nice. I'd recommend bringing a sweater since it might be a bit cold and the seats can be a bit uncomfortable. Otherwise it's worth the experience to hear such talented musicians

Home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra and the Boston Pops, Symphony Hall is a storied facility. It has hosted (and continues to host) the most notable musicians and lecturers on the world, both established and ascending. The acoustics are superb and the sightlines clear. The staff are friendly and helpful and the audience is respectful of both the performers and the hall. There are flashier, and more modern orchestra halls with seats that are more comfortable, but none are better.

The hall was decorated beautifully for the holidays and the performance was fantastic! We also say on seats where there was a server and she was very friendly. We had a great experience there in all aspects and we will be returning for another performance in the future.
