Gorgeous hall. Every concert I've been to has exceed my expectations.
Second year in a row for the Holiday Pops show. It's a great show, tons of fun, with Santa & sing-a-long in the 2nd half. The only downside, is it is so cold in the auditorium. I had to keep my winter coat on to feel comfortable. Many people around us were commenting on the draft as well. I also remember it being very cold the year before as well. Bring an extra sweater or wear layers!
Acoustics were amazing. Orchestra was awesome. The POPS are a must see.
Symphony Hall was everything I had hoped. I watched Evening at Pops for years and finally experienced a Pops concert in person. The seating feels more intimate than I'm used to in Chicago, and the sound has a very warm but clear and vibrant quality. Really the only problems I had were with the fact that people kept walking in to find their seats *during* the songs, and this was extremely distracting since I'm not used to a hall that allows that. Otherwise, this was essentially a dream come true. I can't wait to come back for another concert as soon as possible!
Huge place , great live performances. . Front entrance has ready security which is great !
Just truly beautiful and excellent performance. Thank you!
Good accoustics also at the cheapest seats. Very warn especially when you sit nder the balcony
We enjoyed the performance we attended of the Boston symphony Orchestra. The performance, and sound were superb. This is one of the top placard in the world to hear beautiful music. Go.
I haven't been in BSO since I was a child. I went with friends that I have known since middle school (in the late 60's) to attend the Gospel Night. It was awesome. The music, the guest singer, the choir, the orchestra and the atmosphere was phenomenal. Had a wonderful time. Will definitely do this again.
What a gem this hall is! One of my fondest memories is performing a concert here while a member of the now-defunct Newton Symphony Orchestra. From a musician's point of view, it can't get much better; unlike other halls, you can hear yourself and the rest of the orchestra clearly, at the same time. And in the audience, the sound is unbelievable. One of the truly best concert halls of the world.
Went here on the 20 under 40 deal. If you're under 40 tickets are $20, just book online.
Exceptional, what a joy to be able to attend a concert
A timeless venue for classical music. The Hall's history is deeply layered with Leonard Bernstein's presence most noteworthy in this, his centennial year.
Beautiful building! We had a great time at Holiday Pops
One of the great venues for attending a performance of the Boston Symphony or the Boston Pops
Great sound and great seats. Wonderful performance.
Comfortable seating even for my 6ft 6inch frame, accousticly excellent, small enough to make everyone feel close to the orchestra but large enough for a sense of occasion and to attract world class performers.
Everyone should experience this at least once in their lifetime! Great atmosphere and music! The orchestra is breath taking, as well as the soloist performances...
Absolutely stunning music hall, the tour was so informative and interesting and it really sounded great!
They really cram people into the place for some shows, but good performances.
Beautiful hall and great concert by the Boston Pops
Lovely architecture, the drinks were on point, the service was splendid, and it's been a decade since I heard music so well performed live.
Had the pleasure of enjoying a concert with John Williams conducting... fantastic!! Historic venue that has been well maintained and beautiful. Service was excellent.
Casual Fridays are great! Nice refreshments after the function are always welcome.
Best Hall in the world. Period!!! I wat at Moby Dicks just down from the Cohen Wing entrance. You'll share the place with Symphony musicians, patrons and New England Conservatory students, and patrons. Best seats ...center Second Balcony. First Row first Balcony, and just behind the break in the orchestra. The pre symphony dinners in The Higgenson room are very good. But usually sold out. Reserve early.
Great place with fine music. 1-3 rows are not that good seats.
If you're interested in classical music I could definitely recommend this place.
World famous concert hall. Acoustics are great in any seat. Side balconies are tough if you want to see the whole stage.
A little over a hundred years old. One of the first concert halls to be built utilizing scientific principals regarding sound in an enclosed environment. Result: among the five greatest acoustic venues in the world. Combined with the Boston Symphony/Boston Pops "Essentually the same orchestra and one of the world's finest"- On their worst day, the experience can take your breath away.
Amazing history and amazing musicians. Sight lines, acoustics, and condition might not be the best, but it's a true Boston landmark not to be missed.
The Boston Pops with the Tanglewood choir are the sound of the Holidays.
As always a fantastic performance Saturday afternoon at Dancing to the Movies showcasing dancers from SYTYCD & Dancing with the Stars! Bravo to the entire cast & crew!!
I went with my school and we had a master class with a great conductor. A once in a lifetime experience. I've also been to see a performance. The performance cannot be but into words as it is that amazing.
Always a great time at the Holiday pops been doing it for many years always walk out happy.
Absolutely incredible experience! For those of you under 40 years of age, be sure to take advantage of the $25 under 40 discounted ticket prices so that you can enjoy a show at a more affordable rate!
Historic Venue, easily accessible by public transit with good acoustics. Programming represent a good variety of music
Great place to see a show. Saw Anthony Bourdain on the upper left side of the venue and could see him very easily.
Magical place for music. It must be pretty cool working maintenance here. So many nooks and crannies and secret rooms. Beautiful Hall. I love it.
Beautiful hall. but poor legroom and seats don't accommodate obese people. I was squished to avoid leg to leg contact and it wasn't a good experience. Staff are friendly and very helpful.
One of the best music venues i've ever been in. Comfortable, great acoustics, and a healthy mix of concertgoers of all ages
Fabulous acoustics, great sight-lines, splendid hall. One of the best in the US.
I am working on installing the audio and video recording systems and I love being in this building.
One of the best places in the world to listen to music.
Yes! Excellent! I love the symphony hall so much I wish I could go more often because the music there is like spun gold.
The holiday pops is an annual tradition for our family. It's always a treat. Maestro Lockhart and the Pops always seem to have a lot of fun with the program, as does the audience. This should be on your Boston bucket list.
This place was so much fun. I attended the Gospel night featuring Dottie Peoples who had everyone clapping and singing. I was happy to be seated on the floor not in the balcony area, which I found very spacious and more relaxing than the balcony. I totally enjoyed the songs that were done with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, it made such a difference to the song and listening experience. This is my second visit.
It was an amazing experience. Went here to watch the Holiday Pops and the acoustics were great. Sat in the back of the theater and the sounds was still awesome !
The tour is interesting, the guide shows some spots that the musicians uses before the shows, like the tuning room and the library. They also play the organ to show the hall acoustic, very beautiful. On the Boston Symphony website you can see the tour schedule. Recommend!
If you are in Boston and didn't visit it yey. You have missed a lot . Worth visiting.
This was fabulous! They had a sensory sensitive concert for children with Autism. It was such a great time.
I've been here many times. Great hall, great concerts. Thanks!
Saw John Williams conduct his own music with the Pops. Once in a lifetime experience!
Beautiful, old, classic. Great sound, comfortable seating.
One of the world's great symphony halls. We've been coming for decades. Tonight we are here for the Handel and Haydn Society's Amadeus Live, a presentation of the movie Amadeus with the music performed live.
I love the performances and talks. Boston Symphony Hall and the BPD manage foot and car traffic at a tough location very well. People keep their phones on vibrate for the State of the City but not for many other performances at Boston Symphony Hall.
A gorgeous classic building in Boston. Hosts some fantastic classical music. Most seats, even on the cheaper end, come with a decent view. All around excellent acoustics as well. #1 place for a date.
