Beautiful building and a great venue for live performances. We were here specifically for the Christmas show by Boston Pops, which was such a joy to watch, especially when they played the Leroy Anderson classic, 'Sleigh Ride'. As they played a medley of popular Christmas songs toward the end of the show, a large projector displayed the lyrics so the audience can sing along. The show was definitely a great way to start the holiday festivities!

My wife and I had the good fortune to be able to take a private tour of the symphony thanks to a very good friend. Even if you are not a fan of the symphony, you will be blown away by the beauty and history inside this building!

It's hard to argue with the acoustics but the seats could use some updating. I doubt that acoustics are a large constraint to improving the upholstery since the bodies that usually cover the upholstery are more substantial sound absorbers than the upholstery.

A great venue for live music, headlining the BSO for classical music and the Boston Pops for some lighter fare. Check out the 1st & 2nd balcony for less expensive seats that still offer a great experience.

The music is flawless but you are crammed into your seats, and to add to the discomfort strangers are randomly placed at your table. It s very layed back with food and beverages offered at any point in time. The main downside to the option of food and beverages is that if you come up with a reasonable price for your choice of food or beverage it s about seven times that price.

Beautiful historic building, beautiful concert hall with balconies. Our son made us the surprise for a Christmas concert with the Boston Pops Orchestra, a musical ensemble with classical and popular music. Wonderful evening, very friendly and done with a lot of humor.

There are a variety of wonderful performances here. The staff are friendly and helpful. It's no small feat to create a formal atmosphere but to remain inviting. The hall has fantastic acoustics and gorgeous architecture. I love this place!

World-class Symphony in a world-class space. There's not much more to say about the BSO other than go see whatever you can and know that they're always affordable options to experience classical music and other events that happened within Symphony Hall. Lastly, be sure to support the Arts and take the young ones with you. You never know what an experience can create within a developing spirit.

World class orchestra and music making in "shoebox" style concert hall. Perhaps medium-sized venue for classical music, if you consider some of the more recently built halls. SH is not to be missed by those who really love classical music - either orchestral or chamber music programs. The left and right balcony seating takes getting used to because you have to turn your head to watch the musicians.

Just saw The Nightmare before Christmas soundtrack played along with the movie. The orchestra was amazing, their timing in relation to the movie was impeccable, and the immersion was so intense that I kept forgetting I was there to watch the Symphony rather than the movie.

Saw Distant Worlds, music from Final For at this location and it was absolutely beautiful! Great location for when you're done with your show, with a very nice coffee shop across the street. The staff was friendly and the concert hall was very well kept.

Good acoustics. Efficient entrance and exit. However, I removed one star since the side seats should have been rotated by 45 degrees so that people sitting on the side seats could more easily see the stage without getting neck pains. Makes no sense not to have done this...

Brought friends who hadn't been there in 50 years. Arrived mid-afternoon. 3 ticket agents doing nothing would not let former subscription holders poke their heads into hall. No class, no grace.
