Made a reservation. Was kindly greeted at the door. Host who sat us took our coats and hung in the coat closet for us. There was someone who poured us water separate from the busser who brought us limes separate from our waitress who took our order separate from the food runner. So many nice, happy people who helped with the service. Emily, our waitress, was so warm, inviting, and knowledgeable. Prime rib and pork chop were both amazing. We will return.

Beautifully designed restaurant focused on steak and traditional supper club fare. The french onion soup is fantastic as are many of the dishes. Service is friendly, but casual and the eclectic, yet formal uniforms and touches keep it elegantly fun. Be sure to check out the upstairs bar.

Enjoyed my 50th back in May. But was recently there mid August and noticed some deferred maintenance. Unusual considering grand opening was this year. Anyways great food &, drinks and the service was second to none.

just celebrated a birthday here. A lot of details in the decor and atmosphere!
Nacho had an amazing customer service.
I recommend making a reservation a couple of days/weeks before to ensure you get the time you need reserved.

An experience like none other! Waiters are dressed in tuxes and there is a distinct roaring 20s vibe. Loved the service, feels very upscale but not snooty. Good was expensive but well worth the price! We had a particularly enjoyable experience with the tableside liquid nitrogen ice cream. Other than that, splitting a salad, one side, and two filets more than filled us up. We had a lot of fun and had a great meal. Will be going back!!

This place is in a word, incredible. Every item is of the highest caliber. It certainly isn't cheap, but honestly, I highly recommend sharing steaks. This turns an exorbitant bill into a manageable one, though still not cheap. My wife and I ate here with drinks for about 200$ and left completely stuffed. A thrifty couple of people used to normal sized portions could easily do this for 150. Again, not cheap, but considering the quality of dry aged beef perfection, it is well worth it. Foie gra was huge and delightful, and the snails with bone marrow were particularly special (and surprisingly good portion size too). Finally, the service was perfect, period. Take someone out (or treat yourself!) and check it out.

Its ok

My wife and I were invited here for my birthday by my daughter and my son in law. We did not know what to expect, but the B.A R.dd not disappoint. Staff was great, the food was great and the service was outstanding. I will definitely be coming back!

I was on my way to another nearby haunt but passing Born and Raised was not an option. The curb appeal was glorious and as I stepped inside, I was transported to a classy ambiant dark solid wooden bar with superb beautiful architecture everywhere and surprising design. The smartly dressed bartenders were sharp and respectful. They really did it right! Adult drinks in gorgeous cut glass tumblers as it SHOULD be!! It will be my new haunt.

Wonderful food... Make sure you get the Caesar Salad. There is a great story on dressing. We share the steak sampler. Yummy! For dessert we share slice of the carrot cake. Reservation is needed. The staff was very nice to us during our visit.

Seated rooftop which is nice for the bar scene but horrible for dining. The service suffered front the place being too loud and crowded. Their "Robuchon" potatoes are a joke if you've had the real thing. Should not be clumpy. Steaks were only ok

One of the most beautiful restaurants I'd ever been in. Even the bathrooms were amazing and opulent. However the food stole the show. Aged beef that literally melted in your mouth. We had the sampler for two and were very pleased with the tender succulent flavors. Especially the wagyu beef which was devine. The sommelier was so knowledgeable and steered us in the right direction for trying a delicious french wine that we'd never tried before. Staff was very friendly and attentive. We are from Texas and were impressed with their hospitality and service. We will be back!

Gorgeous place! (if you have a chance, do not miss the second floor bar area). Loved the steak, but hands down our favourite dish was the hash brown with foie gras and fish roe. There's the option of having several menu items prepped and served table side, which is a fun, interactive option for a special night out. Save room for dessert: it's presented on a cart, so it's hard to say no.

Very good atmosphere, and an okay steakhouse. Expensive, both the food and the drinks. Steak plate was hot, but the steak was just warm. Massive sized baked potatoes. We will go back, with just a little improvement, it could be a fantastic place!

Such a great dining experience. Our sever Amy was amazing! Quite a few staff take care of your table. Couldn t remember all their names so we made up our own. Mr. Peabody cleaned our table between each course. Two tone Timmy explained the desserts. Boston made our table side Martinis and Manhattans. Mr Hogwart brought a letter from the bar. Don Julio sang Happy Birthday. BAR is definitely a dining experience. Their food is delicious and the atmosphere swanky.
Order the snails and do a Luge shot of Bourbon out of the marrow!

The is basically no air conditioning so it's difficult to enjoy a 65$ steak while you're frying and everyone around you is "glistening".... you'll need to walk outside into 82 degree heat to cool down. After a year, they should have gotten basic comfort right. Apparently form doesn't follow function in this pretty space.

This place is the definition of 5 star. Service was impeccable. My water never went dry, each staff member came over to wish my wife a happy birthday, and our tableside dishes were made with genuine care for our experience.

On top of it all was the food. Japanese Wagyu was incredible. Uni spaghetti is a MUST get along with the Cesar Salad.

Could not reccomend this place any higher. Ive eaten a hundreds of restaurants and this is hands down the best dining experience I've ever had.

Everything about this place is amazing. If you go here and don t get the Japanese Waygu then did you even eat there? LOL! Cocktails, dinner, dessert you can t beat it. Rooftop is so amazing and the bathrooms are even amazing... the experience is worth the price.

Food and drink was incredible but the service is what makes Born and Raised a great experience. Reid, the waiter and Julio, the bartender were absolutely exceptional at explaining the menu and making sure my party was satisfied at all times. Not to mention every other employee who knew my party's situation and were able to accommodate accordingly, even if they weren't our main waiter or bartender. Prices are perfect for the quality and the service makes it well worth anyones experience. Usually when I see a review like this I think it's fake.. and I never take the time to do this.. but incredible experience, really.

The food here is fantastic. The service was also very friendly. The rooftop bar was a wonderful spot to watch the sunset. My group happened to go on a night where happy hour drinks were hosted so a bunch of drinks were featured for *free*. I would recommend you make a reservation a couple of days out or get there early for happy hour.

I wish I can rate more than five stars. I was impressed with everything since the first second we walked in. The place looks packed but we still got a table within five minute on Saturday nite. I was very lucky to have Bob serving our table. Bob was very professional and knows what he is doing well vey well, he memorized the menus by heart. The whole atmosphere and Bob being on top of everything with us made my whole day. I will definitely come
Back even if I have to drive from LA. It is worth it and Bob deserves a big .

The most delicious steak. My husband and I had the sampler plate. Interesting and able to compare cuts and meat preparation. Perfect portion and meat perfectly done. We really enjoyed the table side drink, salad and dessert preparation. Decor was so beautiful and brought us back to a different era. Romantic and fun. Exceptional staff. Highly recommend.

We had a great time here. The service was excellent at the bar and at the table and no attitudes from the staff. The drinks were strong and the food was prepared perfectly. Parking is tough, but there was valet across the street. Be warned though that the valet closes early at 10PM. Loved the vibe in the upstairs open air with a bar area. Go check it out.

What a fantastic spot. I can only give an honest review of the upstairs area and the drinks but I have no doubt everything else is just as amazing. This is a place that is worth coming to just to look around at the architecture. That said the drinks that I had were top-notch and you really get the feeling of an era lost in time. Do yourself a favor and check-out born and raised you will be so happy you did.

Great steaks and selection of wine and cocktails and a knowledgeable staff. Not surprisingly expensive given location and menu, but worth it for a special occasion. Note: The upstairs patio is much more of a bar scene, and not recommended for small parties and private dinners.

Loved it!!

For drinks only: super packed on a Saturday night even at 9pm. Drinks are suppppper expensive at about $15 per drink. We got 4 and it came out to be $70! Crazy... we got old fashioned, it didn t taste any different from like Seven Grand. But the ambiance is super cool and trendy. All beautiful people working and coming here. Definitely dress up.
finally was able to taste the steaks. And it was delicious! I got the New York and my bf got the ribeye. The steaks were large and seasoned very well. A bit too salty on some pieces. The mushroom medley side was so good. For the mushroom lovers. The large potato fries could gone without. Steak tartare appetizer is table side and made fresh. Big fan of the food here!

Although we had an emergency and had to leave the restaurant in a hurry and didn't get to the meal, I can say that the place is a marvel to be inside. Absolutely beautiful through and through! The staff was wonderfully accommodating to our abrupt need to leave and highly professional. Can't wait to eat there!! The drinks were perfect

Service is impeccable but I have to say the food is OK. He ordered that age Tomahawk it was not good at all. Baaahhhh....The friyer was broken So we couldn't order onion rings or fries are their hash Browns. The bread was delicious and the meatball I have to say was delicious BUT....skip dessert. It was probly the worst carrot cake I've ever had in my life. It looks gorgeous but it's disgusting. The cheesecake tasted extremely creamy but not Cheesy best way I can describe it. Again the service is Impeccable. You wanna get the most amazing carrot cake on the planet you go to Trulucks in La Jolla!!!

Same-day reservations are not available and must be made in advance. But for me, I was lucky to wait two hours. The atmosphere, the service and the taste are not playful! (I recommend the rooftop from the 1st floor) Especially the Caesar salad and Uni Pasta made in front of you! If you don't like seafood pasta, I would not recommend it, but the texture of the noodles is very chewy and delicious. The price range is a bit.

The food and service were excellent but this really isn't a great place for a date or a large group. It is deafening and very tightly packed. I loved the idea of table side service but there is completely not enough room. The servers were all troopers though and super friendly. I'm fairly certain though that if i worked here, i would have nightmares about it. There's constant chaos going on around you and the echo-y-ness saps away any of the intimacy. The upstairs bar area was more like a night club and was twice the noise level, so I'm glad we at least opted not to eat up there.

That said i loved all the food, loved the service. I loved having a cocktail made by a real bartender and not a college student. The fois gras was amazing. This was by far our most expensive meal but i didn't feel ripped off at all. It was well worth it.

Little Italy district is really popular during reservation season in Valentines day, maybe take a Uber or call a taxi. My girlfriend and I have ordered the bone in rib eye with russini style add-on, a mushroom side dish. They all taste very great and savory. We also have a creme puff and a slice of carrot cake. The staff there have an amazing display of the dessert and introduction of ingredients and how it was made.

Great restaurant, I had the steak Diane and it was really good, cooked next to the table medium rare like I asked. My husband had the rib eye and it was very good too. The service is really good. The bread is sooo good! Make reservations because this place gets packed.

Very posh, high end steak house. The food was good as was the service. I did not like that the tables were not covered. The dining room was also extremely loud, so table conversation was near impossible. Expect to pay top dollar. Price for dinner for 5, with alcohol, appetizers, steaks, sides, dessert and gratuity was over $1,000.

They spent all the money on the decor and tuxedos and didn't have any left for training or basics of customer service. We sat at the bar, upstairs, seated by a kind hostess. We waited while bartenders saw us, unacknowledged, for six minutes. One finally said, "do you have drinks going?" No hello, no I'm sorry, it was not busy. The service was rude and intermittent and we had the pleasure of hearing two bartenders talk about how sick they were and to not get too close. One of them got us our check. Never was seen washing his hands and he made all the drinks for the bar upstairs. I've worked in restaurants and bars for 25 years. There's no reason for rude and there's no reason for not saying I'll be right with you. It's a pity there was no money left over for experience and professionalism. Anyone can shake and pour over a strainer. Not cool.

Born + Raised was everything I expected from it and more. I had been wanting to eat here for serveral months prior and finally had the excuse to splurge for my birthday dinner. I was extremely surprised by how busy it was for a Monday night but nonetheless the service was still up to par. Our waitress was extremely patience from choosing a our glasses of wine to informing us on the different cuts of meat. The decor of the resturant was to die for and i really loved the second floor bar. All the food was spot on 5 stars and the only regret i have was not saving enough room to choose something from the dessert cart. A must if you re a foodie or just appreciate insane interior decor. A GREAT GATSBY DREAM.

The beef was excellent. The prime rib was tender and flavorful and the wet-aged ribeye was juicy and flavorful. The tournado and steak tartare were also excellent. Sides were okay to very good. Service was great. Expensive but not ridiculous. Place is very noisy and parking is bad; we used $12 valet.

This place was so good. We ordered a steak tartar that was prepared tableside. Also ordered a rib eye with mashed potatoes and mushrooms. Everything was delicious. This place has special items prepared tableside and we thought that was super cool. I recommend their carrot cake. It was outstanding and our server Art gets 5 stars!!! We can't wait to return

For overpriced meat I would expect over tasty quality but this was the second time I ate there and exactly the same thing happened: the porterhouse steak was cold not even warm in some parts and way over cooked in others for a medium rare order. I understand it is difficult to have it all perfectly done but then I didn t need to pay $200. Steak tartare which I liked on the first time , came bland. Mushrooms where it was recommended by staff, were horrible for $18, it would have been good for $7. I cook better for $4. 01/03/20 ribeye is good although took 20 min in between dishes
