A++!! Exceeded our expectations in every sense. Google gives it a $$$$ rating, but we left feeling like we actually got a great value for the money spent. Quincy was our waiter...you should request Quincy as your waiter - he was the best! Atmosphere was super amazing as well. Highly recommend this place! Order the prime rib... it's actually pretty big and can feed 2 people, wink wink

I was super excited to go, but the noise level was so loud we couldn't converse with our friends. The drinks were good and cool to watch mixed at the table, but the dry aged steak was not worth the money. Not juicy and definitely flavorless (I guess that's why it's called "dry") and not at all what we were hoping for. The desserts looked fantastic but were also kind of blah. Would have been good for about half the price, but for a $100+ per person steak dinner, there are definitely better places in San Diego. The servers were nice but their recommendations were not. Bottom line if you're looking for good food and great atmosphere this is not the place. They have good drinks and a bar full of millennials that you can hang out with upstairs.

Im surprised to see so many great reviews when both time I been there it takes forever to get your food. The food taste great, no complains about that, but is hard to have a great dinning experience when the timing is so off. I don't mind paying the overpriced prices, just make sure that everything else is on point.

Was good food but when we came in 5 minutes before our reservation i had to stand awkwardly for 10 minutes in the corner until they let me sit at my reserved table. 5 minutes early when my table was empty for 35 minutes before but we still had to stand awkwardly in the corner until they allowed my mother and i to sit at our reserved table. My steak I ordered medium rare and it came back medium well done. Unimpressed for spending almost $200 for a meal for two that wasn't prepared properly and had a bad introduction. It was my birthday. Food was good but I'll NEVER EVER go back. EVER!!! Not worth the price for the service I got. The introduction ruined it. Nothing made up for it. On my birthday of all days! After the bad introduction with the bus boy upstairs, I immediately started looking for a different restaurant to go to. This is supposed to be class and worth my hard earned money. Only reason we didn't is because as soon as I said we are leaving they gave us the table I reserved two days earlier. Its San Diego. Y'all have competition. Cook my steak correctly! Thumbs down. Never again!!!! EVER EVER EVER. Good food, but you need to fire that blonde medium haired bus boy that works upstairs because he is a massive failure for your business!!!!!! I almost left because of him. You are lucky I stayed and have you my money. There will be negative recommendations from me to friends based on the service and the fact that my steak was cooked incorrectly at a FANCY VERY EXPENSIVE STEAK HOUSE. A bunch of bull.

We had a great time!! The service was 7 stars..I was trying to compare it to another restaurant in New York or other big city in USA... It came to my mind the service that we received at the Iconic Hotel Burj Al Arab at the Al Iwan restaurant in Dubai. "Born and raised" service, food, ambiance and cocktails were superb!! We will take a flight from Orlando just to have this experience again! Dr. G from Orlando, Florida

Not impressed with the service we received this evening at all. The food was ok - in that my fillet was tasty, cooked correctly and the bernaise sauce was tasty. I was expecting a different experience here tonight. We waited a really long time for our dishes (over an hour)- we were told it takes awhile but that was far too long. Plates were left on the table well after we had finished eating. I should have listened to a local who did not recommend eating here. I expected so much more.

Wow! Great food and atmosphere. Just remember, you get what you pay for (i.e., pricey but worth it). Service was friendly and attentive but not overbearing. Make a reservation or eat upstairs in the open air dining area (quieter than downstairs). Parking tough to find but worth the walk.

Expensive? Oh yeah! But you've got to splurge every once in a while. Well worth it. The food was fantastic and the service was exceptional. We had the table-side Cesar salad. The salad prep was a lot of fun and was the best Cesar salad I've ever (yes ever) had! We tried many items on the menu. #1 on the restaurant bucket list in San Diego.

First off, I want to emphasize how completely gorgeous the restaurant is, the flowers and the attention to details completely took my breath away. Once we ordered food, it took about an hour to finally be able to eat, it could have been better with timing but nevertheless, the food upheld my standards. I would love to go again. The dinner was in celebration of my boyfriend s birthday, despite bringing his birthday treat way late. It was past closing and if we would not have mentioned it (even though the waitress claimed to have been bringing it) we would not have received it. I m assuming the waitress who was helping us already clocked out. Very friendly staff who made us feel welcomed and cared for. Thank you Born and Raised Staff, you were absolutely fantastic!!!

This place is a legit steakhouse!!! We were out to celebrate my friend s birthday and my wife passing her nursing exam. My buddy and his wife tried this place before and recommended it. The service was outstanding, the wait staff was attentive but not bothersome. The food is amazing. We ordered ribeyes, tomahawk ribeye for entrees; mushrooms, asparagus, and gnocchi for sides; and the Caesar salad. I m not a salad person, but the Caesar salad was really good. Their steaks are USDA prime. My wife had our ribeyes medium rare, while my friend and his wife had their tomahawk medium. The steaks were amazing (although my wife did say she prefers the steaks I make :) ). The sides we re really good too. Our favorite was the mushrooms and asparagus. The mushrooms paired very good with the steaks. The asparagus had a vinaigrette taste to it, which we loved. We ended the night with their 7 layer carrot cake. It was a big slice, and not too sweet. We thought it was ok. Overall, it was an expensive dinner, but well worth it. Great service, and delicious food!

Dry aged pork chop with pumpkin and brussel sprouts. First bite was like butter. There is a lot of fat on this cut of meat but was well cooked so that it was not tough but just melted with each bite. The brussel sprouts where a little plan but did have a apple Carmel sauce. The pumpkin was pureed and had the same sauce. Everything was very complementary to each other. Nothing had too strong of flavors but everything had it's unique taste.

Swanky ^^ atmosphere with great vibe, cool servers, manager was attentive without being overbearing. The noise level makes conversation challenging if the person you're talking to isn't sitting right next to you, so make sure you have an even number of people in your party. The noise level is the only reason I didn't give 5 stars because I had the filet, Oscar Style and it was THE BEST filet mignon I've ever had.

House of cuts of meats with a French touch in its Menu. The atmosphere of place places you in the 20's but merges with the diversity of the 21st century. Their coordinated and very friendly service makes you spend an unforgettable evening ... food simply expectam. Expensive, but tracendental.

Elegant atmosphere. Excellent attentive table service. Fine food. Bread is delicious. My steak was perfectly cooked, and delicious. Others in my party had the lobster cooked tableside. Unfortunately it was presented on unheated platter then transferred to cold serving plates, so the meal was cold even though just cooked. The management was advised. Hopefully future lobster eaters will be provided with hot plates to keep their meal warm. Sides of vegetables and mushrooms were shared. Quite tasty.

The very definition of class and elegance. As soon as u step in your hit with this art deco, "Great Gatspy" style of design. I would definitely go there looking to impress, and spend a little dough. It is definitely not cheap. The atmosphere however is amazing. The people working there go out of their way make your experience the best, and the food is in a class of its own. The menu focuses mainly on steaks (aged 30-50+) but they also have sea food and poultry. The wine selection is top notch, the liquor selection is top notch, we left very satisfied. I did break bread when I went, but I was expecting to do so, so when the check came it didn't take away from my experience. I'm definitely going back. If u are looking for a place to go on a special occasion, Born and Raised should be on your list.

Food was good. This is more a review of the table set up, restrooms and service. Tables were way too close together. Not even enough room to get out. Restrooms were confusing and the sink didn't work. Service was slower than I would expect at a high end restaurant. Less attentive might be a better way to say it. Oh and the French 75 tastes like spiked lemonade. Not good.

Fantastic place, great service, and best steak. We had their dry-aged ribeye which was so tasty. The Steak Diane is also highly recommended (they make the sauce in front of you with nice firework show). I also recommend their potato leak soup and caesar salad. Try their ice cream and their carrot cake -- best experience.

Excellent experience. The excellent wine and food, the perfect attention and the beautiful place in every detail. The rooftop is amazing with a breathtaking view of the ocean and the downstairs is beautifully ornamented to every little space. The attention of our waiter Art, spectacular.
