Buffet food was nothing to brag about. It was not what I expected for 35.00 per person.

Several things - had a pool view and there must have been something outside our window that ran all the time causing air pressure on the window and a whistling around the window. Heater didn't work. Reported it and it didn't get fixed. We couldn't get the room up to a comfortable temperature. Ended up turning off unit since the fan just ran. Added a day and we must not have gotten on the cleaning list. Room wasn't touched. Had to call for additional towels. Parking lot was supposed to be re-striped so we were requested to park somewhere else. Then it didn't happen. Parked much further away.

Love the hotel the hotel is phenomenal we only stay at this facility when we go to Reno, Nevada. The staff is amazing.....Very friendly.

Nice room close to pool and elevator. Clean and comfortable. Coffee maker and refrigerator were included. Casino was clean and food was good.

Always a clean, nice place. Never hesitate staying here because I know it's a comfortable, clean and friendly place. I usually only stay here if I'm up in this area. Prices are great too.

Great place to stay when attending the Boomtown concerts!

They have Mario kart gp arcade unit, probably one of the hardest to find arcades over in the US. PLAY IT

Room wasn't ready when we checked in. Hotel was not full, maids were slow. Remodelling some rooms, couldn't rest during the day. Room smelled of old stale cigarette smoke.

Funtastic, Excellent, Small & with a Games Area for kids. Overall it's a Good Casino to spend time gambling

The drink server was a sweetheart. The mask police not so much. While realize you want people to keep masks on I was taken back a bit when a man to another sir put your mask over your nose and you too lady to this poor couple who were around nobody and simply taking a drink. There are other ways to approach people to ask kindly to keep their masks up over their nose. So I was a little shocked at how the employee acted towards these people. While I understand they have a job to do they do not have to be so rude to people.! So mr. Mask police you are a jerk and I hope someone treats you just like you treated them. You embarrassed them and it was uncalled for!

Boomtown has recently gotten a face-lift, which makes me inclined to give 4 stars. Best Western just bought it, so it has a more streamlined experience than in years past.

stopped for lunch in our RV, but as soon as we stopped in the back of all the cars. The security told us we had to park way far away. My husband can't walk that far, so we left.

The staff was great and my kids loved the arcade!!!

Rooms are nice and clean. Staff is nice and helpful. Amenities are very good. Pool is nice. I had a room facing the pool but was not disturbed by pool noise at all.

Rooms are clean and well maintained. Variety of restaurants/food dependent on budget. Not fond of the poorly designed lobby/casino/room set up - much too far to walk, rooms are not senior/ADA friendly unless you book in advance.

Stopped in for breakfast at Mel's on our way home. Great food, great atmosphere!

Rude staff in the lobby. Rooms with pool view cannot open the windows in the room.Broken TV remote never replaced. Called the lobby for extra blankets at around 10, and someone knocked on our door at 4:00 AM to deliver.

It would really appear that those in the customer service industry have never truly experienced customer service, or have no guidance as to what it means. Just another example of hospitality staff being anything but hospitable.

Boomtown is always our home base with in Reno. No matter which direction we go during the day we comeback and have nice dinner and do some gambling! Always enjoy ourselves. All employees have always been courteous and friendly. Love the redecorated rooms.

The facility was nice, clean and comfortable. Unfortunately they did not charge my VISA correctly and the supervisor did not respond to my phone call.

There were already people in our room it was late and my key opened the door .scary experience. The desk was very rude . I stay at best Western all the time. This one should not be a best Western it was awful

The Arcade does not promise anything if you have won a prize and the game says error i have won a game in this arcade and i won 2 times and all the money i put in i do not get back you only receive one free game i highly recommend not going to this arcade employees are not helpful in anyway this arcade is selfish and a ripoff even if you do win they also don't fix the error games.

Best Western has gotten to be an expensive nights rest. After all, I didn't want to buy the mattress, only sleep on it ! Other than the cost, would recommend.

We played some games with the kids at ate at Mel's. The fun center staff was friendly. Mel's was just average.

Passing through Nevada on the way to Utah we stopped here for dinner. You can't beat the value of a $3.99 buffet.

Just another place failed , it's not the 80s anymore. Time to kick things up a bit ... Unsure why ppl vacation out here anymore. I was asked to go into detail. The hotel needs to be remodeled. Very dated. The casino needs better ventilation most of us don't smoke anymore but still want to gamble . The interior looks very dated and needs to be more appealing to the youth wanting to spend money. The restaurant needs to bump things up every time I go into mells it's a failed attempt not worth bring up the issue afraid of the backlash of them fixing or taking extra long yet to fail again. Having children and wanting them to play in the arcade is also a joke. Not enough staff to run things is discouraging broken machines make it difficult to want to come back. Also the prizes are not worth cashing in. Would rather wait and spend the cash at other Casino. Reno needs to step things up of they want to complete with the Indian casinos and Vegas. You have smokers why not an oxygen bar. Hot towles ? Is this in detail enough?

Very comfortable room and beds. Plenty of dining choices. Plentiful bathroom amenities. Loved Peets coffees and pastries! While the room was a non-smoking room there was a vague odor, but not of cigarettes. Maybe the room was once a smoking room and the odor was from trying to remove the old odor. As a former smoker, the smell of cigarettes was very noticeable in public areas. Overall, a good stay.

Very uncomfortable bed , smelled, room was not clean. Felt like we were in a cave. If you get a rocking cheep deal then stay but if not keep looking so many more options 16 min away.

Boomtown was so much fun!! It was my first time there with me and my family and it was a blast. I highly suggest anyone going there. First off they are right next to the highway so you can't possibly miss it, second they have a beautiful hotel third they have a great restaurant in the casino called mels and my favorite part was the kids arcade/rides. It was so much fun. And you don't have to deal with tickets anymore the tickets go right into the kids cards. That was awesome. my family had a great time and they gave us some great memories

Don't let the casino atmosphere be a turn off. The Steakhouse restaurant is superb. Mel's diner is exactly that...a terrific diner. The rooms are spacious and well appointed.

I was not expecting this Best Western hotel to be as nice as it is. My overall experience was very good. I will stay at Boomtown again if business takes me to the Reno area . The hotel staff , restaurant staff and casino staff are top notch. Who ever does the hiring is really on the ball.

My husband and I took a trip up to Boomtown to celebrate his birthday. We reserved a smoking king bed room with a balcony. The balcony consisted of 4 cemented walls and a cemented in roof, with a viewing cut out in the front wall. The view was of the mountains, however, it was very high up and could only be enjoyed if standing. The paint was very old and chipping off in multiple places. There was also an ashtray out on the balcony that was still full of the previous guest's cigarette butts. Inside the room, I pulled back the curtains and I was actually startled at the number of dead knats on the window seal. Im not talking 10...im talking hundreds. They covered the seal from end to end. I immediately noticed that they were not all dead and that several were still flying around and hanging out in between the curtains. If that wasn't enough, I inspected the bathroom and the little travel sample shampoo had already been partially used.

This room was awful. I advise you to stay some place else. Looks great from the outside only.

Great place to stay. Very pet friendly and location is perfect for visiting tourist attractions. Hotel dining choices were excellent.

Horrible Place. It is infested with bedbugs and a horrible staff.

All you can eat lobster. Lobster was amazing!! But in my opinion the clam chowder was even better. This place surprised all of us with the food being so good. Everything we ate tasted great. I heard it wasn't that good, so we didn't expect much. But it blew us all away.

Worst buffet ever. Mash potatoes were obviously reheated. Tri-Tip was so tough it was hard to cut. Staff was attentive. For $40 per person, I expected much better.

Unfortunately the hotel lost power, our tower was out and then half the casino was too; no generator.

I called and reserved my room and my brothers room. The receptionist was super helpful and kind. When we arrived we were quickly registered then we were greeted by the Bell pops and they promptly took our luggage to our rooms. They were awesome. Our rooms were clean and comfortable. We had a great time. Thank you Best Western in Boomtown.

Out of downtown had a warm day nbiromen and a good buffet

The maintance staff truer to fix the dresser draws by taping them closed and giving me a roll of tape for future openings during our stay. It was a little tiring so we left and stayed at Grand Sierra the remaining two nights.

I'm a Best Western rewards member, so I try to stay at Best Western whenever possible. This is an excellent hotel and casino. The staff was extremely friendly. The room was well above my expectations, both in decor and cleanliness. The bed was comfortable and there were plenty of good pillows. I was disappointed that the buffet was closed on the night I was there, but I had a very nice meal at "Mel's", a 50's themed restaurant in the hotel and the service was great. Overall I was very happy with my stay and will definitely stay here again.

I came for surgery and stayed with boom town. I had the best room and service I ever had there.
It made everything perfect. .
The staff and valet people v were just wonderful.
I'll stay there for my next surgery in July. .Thank you boomtown for making it so perfect for me

Enjoyed the scenery, clean overall, great pizza! Wish I could have tried their prime rib buffet, but after waiting for 20 minutes they told us they couldn't cash EFTPS comchecks. So no buffet. Also, $25 free play is after you loose $25! I have started with $20, won $60 cashed out $40 put back in $20, then another $25. Still showing I'm $6 ahead! No first free $25 here! Very misleading. Gift shop highly overpriced for 10 tampons it's $4.99!
