Boomtown Hotel Casino - Reno Review

Staff was super friendly but the bed not so comfortable.. No room service or buffet in the early part of the week

For a small casino it was great. I didn't know how to play craps they show me how. The rooms was really nice and great price as well. The good was good we all ate at Mel the diner a blast to the past. Try the buffet as well kind of height but you get what you pay for as well.

Not impressed by the BW plus. Suite was large 2 rooms although heated didn't work, refrigerator didn't work. Housekeeping disturbed us even with sign and tried to enter room. Housekeeping staff was loud. Doors were somewhat drafty. Beds were comfortable and clean.

We enjoyed the fun Mels Diner and because i had my children with me, we spent quite a bit of time in their arcade and playing mini golf.

Smokey environment. Sportsbook is fairly efficient and well run.

The check in staff was great.
It wasn't horrible but there were a few issues that caught my attention.
1st Open the door, there is a stain in the carpet about the size of a basketball, no big deal.
2nd There was a leak from the toilet between the tank and the base when flushing.
3rd the tv would drop the volume to almost inaudible sunndenly and slowly build back up over the following 10 to 15 minutes. The entire process would happen about every 20 minutes or so.

Literally moments from Reno. Easy off & on Freeway. Great & easy check-in. A little hard getting someone to help get bags to our room. Would of loved to do ourselves but needed a trolley and they only are available with bellhop. Room spacious, very clean. Enjoy having fridge, microwave & safe in room. Coffee pot smal individual cup type, we like full pot instead. Large closet & bathroom, bath accesories plentiful. Ate twice in Mel's diner. Good diner food. Would of loved more info on closing times of other eateries. Openings were displayed but "When Closed" is not enough info to plan by. Great Family Fun Center. We don't have kids but still had a fun time there. Didn't use pool or gambling so can't comment on those. If ever in the area would definitely stay again.

Hotel was nice but the mini golf course was in horrible condition and the kids arcade had many machines broken

The steakhouse was a really good dining experience. The food was really good and Jim was an excellent server. I will definitely recommend this to anyone.

Love Boomtown! The Guitar Bar features wonderful musicians and Albert the Bartender is amazing. They also have fantastic concerts...

We stayed in the North Tower. The room we had was recently renovated and was a vast improvement from before. We had the Lobster buffet, and enjoyed the new look of the buffet.
