This is my favourite coffee shop in Aberdeen. Forget the huge multinational corporation coffee shops, and go get some great coffee, food and a book from here instead! You won t be disappointed.

Went for lunch here with my sister, the service was very friendly and the food while rustic was good. There is a lovely bookcase full of second hand books to pick from. The selection of books could be somewhat better but it certainly is a novelty. The pricing is decent too, which is a definite bonus too :)

Perfect afternoon! Books, private room to browse and good food. Very welcoming and accommodating staff. Made such an effort to make us welcome. All safe and thought through. Worth any length of detour in order to visit!

Had high hopes for this place but was really disappointed. Food I had pancakes and bacon. It was cold, my nan had toast also cold. It was so loud in there. I went with my nan and we couldnt hear each other for the staff talking so loud and the food and drink being prepared so close to where we were.We wont be back

We came here at the weekend and had our lunch outside which was really good. The lady seeing everyone outside was very welcoming and professional. Enjoyed a nice panini and salted caramel latte and most importantly felt safe and well looked after at this time. Thanks!

Good coffee, good food, relaxed atmosphere plus it's a small local business, nice place to escape from the hustle and bustle of the street/shops and grab a cuppa and read a book if that is your want.

Best coffee and sandwiches in Aberdeen and the soup is pretty awesome too. Staff are friendly and welcoming and certainly know their regulars. Doubles as a second hand book shop and I know I've picked up a few treasures from here over the years.

This place is great. We have been in a few times and sat downstairs, because the coffee is good. Today downstairs was full, so we wandered upstairs and what an amazing treasure trove of books! Such an unusual and wonderful place to relax. We had coffee scones and soup, all great plus excellent service so would definitely recommend. We even left with a new book. Favourite coffee shop in Aberdeen.

Books and Beans combines modern, local, and cosy very well. All the staff are very friendly and seem to enjoy working with each other and the customers which is unfortunately uncommon in many places. There is a wide selection of food and drinks to choose from. I was almost overwhelmed. I really enjoyed my bacon, brie, and cranberry panini. The store allows you to pay be card and contactless which is a large plus. I will have to make this place my regular.

One of the best places in Aberdeen to catch a cuppa and a sandwich. The ambience and the music is brilliant. It is indeed a very unique experience. There's a small LP on the top floor with two comfy chairs. That's my most favourite spot.

This place was awesome! The food was delicious and the service was great. The atmosphere was very nice and if we didn t already have fully stuffed luggage we would have bought a lot of things to fill them. This was a great place to grab breakfast and plan our day around Aberdeen.

From a secondhand bookstore point of view, a little disappointing. Good selection of books, but difficult to browse if busy, but my main gripe is the prices. Picked up a few warhammer 40k paperbacks, not brilliant condition, but to be More

It was disappointing to see that the food is not prepared in their kitchen but rather delivered. The prices were very high in comparison to the poor state of Books and Beans cafe. The place in general looked run down but the service was friendly.

A lovely bookstore with a nice coffee shop, excellent drinks and delicious food. The staff is very friendly and always supportive. If you ask them to, they are always willing to turn the music up or down. I like sitting upstairs as it is quieter. I love being surrounded by books and those cosy atmosphere. You can take a book to read while you enjoy your drink or you can borrow one from their bookshelves. If you like the book, you just pay for it at the counter and it s yours. I love their second-hand book shop because you can get secondhand books for very little money. I've already picked up so many treasures from here. Once a waitress dropped a glass of coffee and milk next to me as she passed by. The liquid splashed against my jeans. She reacted immediately, was very worried and straightaway offered me a free drink. That was sweet of her. This kindness is one of the reasons why I like coming here.

Discovered this fab little spot - if you enjoy a cuppa while browsing through 100's of second hand books (all genres). Really friendly staff and a terrific place to while away a few hours.

Best little nook for coffee addict book worms. Two floors of books, cafe downstairs, and it s in central downtown Aberdeen. The perfect meet up to chat with the mates. (Vegan options available!)
