The Lords of Unprofessionalism and Ignorance

If you’re willing to pay the top dollar for your car and receive F**K ALL service in return, please get in touch with the most ignorant national capital kia motors at Belconnen.
Or if you’re smart and wish to avoid pain and suffering because of these deaf morons. Please look somewhere else for an alternative and save yourselves from unnecessary hassle and be treated as a proud customer where they genuinely appreciate your money and business.
I understand that this virus has apparently spread everywhere in Canberra and due to which Canberrans may struggle to find a genuine dealer. However, I found out that John Mcgrath Kia at Woden is apparently a lot better alternative, if you’re willing to buy a Kia in Canberra.
A mate of mine booked his Kia Carnival in late 2023 with Kia Woden and it only took him 2-months to get it which was also fitted with all the bells and whistles he requested for and most importantly he paid a significantly lower price than I did at Kia Belconnen.
On top of that, my waiting period was close to 8 months. When I picked up the car, there were already 20 kms on the clock. It had a thin layer of dust on it, fingerprints all over the car, the arm rest had some sort of black dirt on it as well. Being excited about picking up a new car, I decided to let it all go at the time which turned out to be my biggest mistake. In addition, if you buy second hand car from a dealer these days. As a courtesy, you’re provided with a full tank of fuel as you drive off in your vehicle. Not this place as I bought a 75K car and the car had less than quarter of a tank worth of fuel when I left national capital kia Belconnen. If being cheap was a competition, these guys would win the first prize!
At the time of payment, I also paid for a pair of side steps which I was never told that it may take up to a month to get them installed due to severe shortages of staff and appointments. Only after I paid for them, I was told the waiting time to get the steps installed was more than 4 weeks. Again, I let it go and booked an appointment for installation in four weeks.
Little did I know that the height of shameless was yet to be seen. I dropped off my car for side steps installation in the morning on the day of appointment which was booked more than 4 weeks ago. These idiots returned the car AS IS in the evening and stated that the side steps are locked in an inaccessible site and hence couldn’t be installed. And, I would need to reschedule the appointment and wait another two weeks before it can be done. I was furious and asked for my money back right away. I was then told, the sales manager wasn’t available to talk about the refund and I would need to contact the sales manager to request a refund.
You wouldn’t believe, it has been two days since I lodged a written complaint, made multiple phone calls and I am still waiting to get my money back.
So basically, national capital motors aka Kia Belconnen is just an atrocious place to shop for your car. You’ll not be valued, they’ll take your money with a big smile and then you’ll be chasing them to get your issues resolved with zero outcomes. I wouldn’t want anyone to go through the unnecessary mental stress and then chase these thieves to get your own money back for days.
Please do yourself a favour and go somewhere else!!!

Took my car in for airbag recall early January 2019, with compartments unmarked and undamaged. Picked it up same day with a tear on glove compartment, broken hinge in another compartment, that was apparently opened "accidently by person with fat fingers" and was apparently already broken!? I only have to assume that the new and safe airbag has been properly fitted! ...no way of knowing. If quality of their work and their staff's general lack of interest and untruths is anything to go by, I'm concerned!! I will be addressing this to Nissan head office as too many similar complaints. I had planned to visit their show room to look at new car purchase but decided never to buy from them. So glad I've never taken my car there for service.

Definitely the worst service centre in the ACT. They lose log books. Try to scam money from you. Don't contact you. Refuse to answer phone calls. The call centre has a worker who actively lies. Honestly anywhere else, even your best mate's garage, is better.

Excellent service from Kimberley, no high pressure sales, listened to what I needed, was knowledgeable about both the product and competition and answered all my questions satisfactorily. Will definitely recommend Kimberly's service to all my friends.

I bought a 2017 mq triton and the sales team were hopeless with communication, the service team are absolutely useless, I've had the check engine light, traction control and 4h light come on now 6 times since new and everytime I take it to the dealer to get fixed they only clear the codes without diagnosis and send it on. Last time I took it there I showed them the codes and STILL no diagnosis. I put it down to laziness and the fact that they don't like doing warranty work. I'll never go there again

We bought an Izuzu from this business, free services included. Last week we booked our car in for a 45,000km service. Today on arrival they told us it would be $500 as a few days ago they stopped offering this free service. Consistently the worst service from this business. Do not buy your car here. Save your money and go interstate. The only reason we bought from them was for local free services included. Do not reward this business with your money. Disgusting behaviour.

My wife and I decided to give ncm another chance after a shocking dealing with them 5 years ago.
Well nothing has changed the Mitsubishi salesman had NO idea on costs on cars. When we asked the drive away price he went inside and he must of made one up as it was $3000 more than the manufacturers drive away advertised price online.
When question he tried to bs he s way out of it.
Anyway we went across the road and bought a new Mazda. Once again Never use this incompetent dealership.

Super happy with the service provided by Brent at National Capital Motors in Tugeranong. He was very honest and straight forward while helping us choose a car. He was patient and answered all our questions. As first time car buyers he made the whole process a lot less stressful for us.

Joseph helped us with all of the finance, he was extremely helpful, patient and happy to answer any of our questions.

Overall we highly recommend going to National Capital Motors Tugeranong, and if you do, ask for Brent or Joseph. They will look after you :)

We were handed over to another salesman at the start and communication could have been better. During face to face talks communication improved. Salesman showed us our car after purchase and took the time taking us through the features of the vehicle. Straight forward dealings in the end with good customer service. Thanks Arun.

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. They never once called me about the progress of the clutch being replaced in my car. I could NEVER reach anyone in the service department to give me an update, they were always busy. The operator was always willing to take a message and said they would call back but this got frustrating very quickly when this did not happen. It was there for a week and I had no idea what was happening. I won't be taking my hyundai for any service or repair here ever again!

This was my first experience buying a brand new car and it was flawless. Lewis was extremely helpful and patient with my decision and efficiently answered all the questions I had. The service he provided was amazing and definitely exceeded my excpectations. Michael was also very helpful and made the whole process easy and enjoyable. Lack of service after I purchased a new vehicle seems to be the go, they are obviously so busy that they don't have time to return phone calls. The condition the car was delivered to me showed signs of a rush job considering the amount of leaves under the bonnet and the scratches in the paintwork.

I have been having my car serviced here for the la...

I have been having my car serviced here for the last 5 years but I have been greatly disappointed by their unprofessional behaviour and lack of technical knowledge on a number of occasions. However, I continued to give them my business to maintain continuity, which is something I greatly regret now. My last service cost more than $700 and yet they couldn't bother to top up the wind screen washer with proper liquid. They filled it with tap water instead. I mean how expensive is wind screen washer liquid? It costs all $5 for a 5L bottle from Supercheap. Also when asked about specific maintenance questions, no one seems to have ANY idea. It's like blind leading the blind. They are happy to book you in for a service but if you have any specific questions about the service, forget about getting any response. At my last service they tried to sell me a wheel alignment for $90 on top of the $700 or so they were going to charge me for the service, because apparently it was "dangerously" off even when I had done an alignment only a month earlier when I replaced my tyres and had no issues with it. When I asked about it, as per usual the guy at the desk made some stuff up and then said it was just a standard process. Really? Perhaps more like you tried to sell me something that I didn't need by misrepresenting the facts?
Anyway, needless to say they won't be getting even a single dollar of my business anymore.

We are new to Canberra so logically decided to take our 2014, purchased April 2015, KIA Sorrento to our closest KIA service centre for some minor warranty work, rang and booked the car in on 08 January 2016 with a booking for 13 Jan. Arrived at National Capital Motors Service centre Belconnen at the time advised,0800, to be advised that they could not find any reference to the booking. When I enquired when I would be able to have the warranty work completed was advised 03 Feb. The issue here is that they while not directly stated it was implied that I had got the booking wrong, not that their1 system failed and as opposed to booking the vehicle in promptly it was put to the back of the line, now having read other reviews this seems to be the very low standard of service to be expected from this company. I will not recommend them to anyone and will certainly reconsider purchasing any vehicles from this firm.We have purchased multiple KIA New and near new vehicles in the past, but if this is the standard of service provided by National Capital Motors in Canberra I will be looking at alternatives for our next vehicle and all servicing.

1 word, HORRIBLE! Went there to purchase a Mistubishi and it's safe to say i'll be having nightmares for the rest of my life about their service.. Would strongly recommend avoiding Glen. He was rude, poorly dressed, clearly not all there in the head and boy, his breath smelt like rotten milk mixed with feces. Hear my warning people! There's better dealerships out there!

We bought a used X-trail. Sent it to service to keep the warranty. Car was leaking a lot of oil the next day, checked the sump plug, 6 full turns before it even was pinch tight, lucky it didn't fall out and cause the engine to seize. Pretty unhappy at what was a very basic mistake - there was clearly no quality check before it was signed off. Could have been catastrophic. Got nowhere with the service staff so talked to the General Manager who was understanding. Service Manager then rang back and was also apologetic and understanding. He was also perplexed and pledged to review the issue with his staff - good for him as it needed to happen. He also agreed to refund the labour cost, which was reasonable. At least they listened and responded well.

The words 'disappointment' and 'incompetence' come to mind.

1. Zero response to requests for quotes or email enquires.

2. After they replaced the front seat belts the height adjustments were jammed, plastic surrounds bulged and grease marks were left on the interior. On the first attempt to rectify this they told me they had refitted the seatbelts and replaced the plastic surrounds, this was clearly a lie as they had not done anything at all. I returned the car a second time to get this rectified - exact same result.
Three attempts and they are still not fixed.

3. I had my 9-month-old vehicle serviced here for the first time a couple of days ago: oil left on the rim and grill, transmission the temperature alarm has now gone off and the car is not running as smooth as it should. I also felt that in excess of $500 for a service is unjustified. I will be taking the vehicle to another mechanic this week to have it all redone.

I bought a Barina from them, went smoothly. They guy we spoke to was really nice. But things went down hill fast from there.

After buying the car, they discovered the back middle seat belt was broken so they had it fixed which took two weeks.

A couple of months later I drove it to visit family and while along the high way I discovered the wheels were terribly off balance. Had to get it fixed while visiting family.

Then came to servicing. Service itself was fast, but the day after the car started making horrible sliding sounds. I got it looked at and found out something in the brakes area came loose during the service and they didn't notice! They fixed it and I left.

Couple of weeks later the oil change light shows up. This is still not fixed a month later as every single time I ring they say 'oh everyone is busy, they will call you back'. I feel like at this point the only way to get it fixed is talking to fair trade!

DO NOT GET SERVICED BY THESE USELESS PEOPLE.

My wife and I can only praise the sales process we experienced through Rahul Bhadra, sales consultant at NCM Belconnen. The company has a system where the sales consultant manages the sale from go to woe, rather than pass on responsibility for the sale to the next bod in the chain. Because Rahul is attentive and knows his product backwards, we were able to walk to the showroom, choose exactly the Triton we needed, and pick it up a couple of working days later optioned up to our precise needs and for a very good price. Onya, Rahul, hard work always wins.

Excellent customer service and price
Kimberly and the team did an outstanding job helping my daughter when her old car died. They made the whole experience seamless from trading in the old car (they liaised with service people for me) to having my daughter test drive new Kias and lending her a car while the new car we had purchased was delivered. They registered it for us as well as delivering the car to my daughters address as she was in the middle of exams. I can't thank them enough.

I would highly recommend National Capital Motors.

I am now the very pleased owner of a Hyundai i30. The service provided by Sid and other staff (Michael, Stefhanie and Nader) was friendly and efficient. Sid provided a clear costs breakdown, provided discounts where possible, and was very patient with explaining the vehicle's features.

I was particularly impressed with how quick the whole application process was; I test drove the car on Sat and collected it on Tuesday.

No regrets, thanks National Capital Motors!

So disappointed with lack of customer service. Expressed disappointment with recent car service (wasn't convinced all elements charged for were inspected and replaced), then when asked for reassurance, the rep who contacted me was rude, dismissive and made no attempt to fix the situation. When I contacted NCM via email to let them know how appalling their rep handled the situation and how disappointed I was, the email address provided to me bounced back as didn't exist, and no one has bothered to return my call. Would not be recommending NCM group. They've lost a once loyal customer here, will buy and get our next car serviced somewhere else.

Absolutely shocking service. Poor communication, no regard for the customer. They complete the bare minimum to make the sale and want nothing more to do with you.
My partner even received a slimy comment about "putting the company out of business" because we asked for a deal. If you can get your car elsewhere, avoid this company.

Vacuum and wash of car are literally worst ever I have seen. The guys don't care to really dovaccum and wash.yhey didn't even bother to open boot and do the cleaning, other area of cleaning are worst as well.

Wash is also not good. Not at all happy with the performance. Cannot find option for less than one.

Kimberly and the staff could not be any more helpful. Did not hassle me like other dealers have and when ready to talk price they were prepared to get the deal done.
Any issues or concerns that I had were solved promptly and without fuss.

1 star pending review... Was promised a drive away price with registration included however was forced to pay transfer on a car they promised would be registered into my name... Just like all the other complaints don't deal with them, General manager promised a resolution or to look into it the stated the staff member was fired and he can't say it's explicitly written on the contract so no... If this changeds I may change my review not what I'd expect for $45000

Went in to enquire about a Kia to have no staff on the floor and those that were around ignored us. When I did get served there was no apologies just a gruff we are all busy and was fobbed off with a we will email you on Monday with no questions on what they could do to help us/show us and didn t even ask our details or name. Other sales staff from the wider dealership walked past and ignored our polite hellos and turned their back on us. They lost a sale today.

I have bought many cars over the years and never had any service as good as i have had from Kimberley.
Kimberley will go the extra mile, always be honest with you and have a smile on her face.
Kimberley is such an asset to the company. If your looking for a new car i recommend going in and seeing Kimberley, you wont be dissapointed.
I will be telling all my friends to go and see Kimberley to buy new cars.

Went for a test drive, the salesperson who helped me was lovely and informative. However, whilst waiting in the office was subject to other salespeople loudly making derogatory/sexual comments about another female customer. Disgraceful.
