Boiling Pot Restaurant Review

Had an issue with an osysto poboy order that was heavily under prepared, and instead of replacing my order, I was browbeaten and belittled as if I were lying. Will not support them again.

Love their seafood and service. It is worth the money.

Shrimp was well flavored, but cooked where it was easily removed from the shells.

The best thing about my meal was the cheese grits. Fried catfish was bland and the fries had no taste whatsoever.

Decent food, but not great. Prices have gone way up at this place for just mediocre food. If you are in a hurry, go here. If you want great seafood, go to a restaurant in the causeway.

After some time things have changed a lot, the gulf coast is rich in seafood, and is dissappoiting that the quality is degrading. More batter to seafood taste like an old asian trick to increase profits.

First visit..ordered the combo platter, which consisted of ousters, shrimp, and your choice of fish. Only thing is if I wanted one thing grilled, all items would have to be grilled or if I wanted one thing fried all items had to be fried. I like grilled shrimp and fried oysters sooo I was a little sad about that. For my sides I chose the gumbo and cheesy grits, both of which were very good. Overall, the restaurant had a very pleasing aroma, the food was decent, the staff was very polite, and they had some awesome watermelon tea. Also, my family enjoyed their meals as well.

I didn't know they had Grouper! That's my favorite besides Shrimp. I had both and both were good.

Wow, this place has really upped its food and service! I had crab stuffed fish and it was fantastic! I had been here when it first opened, wasn't impressed, but now, I'm completely sold. Best word I can use is: Yum!

Place could have been a little cleaner, but it was late and the food was awesome. Word to the wise - don't order extra. We got the small poboys and 2 large people could have shared one. Shrimp and catfish were both superb. Told my wife that I'm glad we do t live near here or we'd gain too much weight.

The Tillman's corner location was a lot better than Airport loc. And was a lot cleaner & was better service.

Welcoming and helpful staff. Big portions for totally decent prices. There is a large selection of dish and many different sides to accompany them. Everything served here is the definition of southern cuisine ; authentic gumbo, jambalaya, po boys and so on. Food is served in a more than reasonable delay and there is plenty of room to seat.

The aroma of spices and seafood flood your senses as you walk through the door. I had the southern bama, two cream cheese crab cakes, topped with perfectly spiced shrimp and , and coated with crab sauce.i was also allowed to choose two side. Cheese grits (which I highly recommend) and jambalaya. It was a great meal!

This place used to be phenomenal with amazing seafood. I had not been there in a year or so and was craving their overstuffed shrimp poboy. So I stopped by on this Friday night, and I was so disappointed. First off, the restaurant had this awful stench. And the food was NOT GOOD AT ALL. I will not go back again. I guess I have to find a new spot for good southern seafood.

The food is always good but the service is a little slow. Stood in a long line for about 30 minutes before I could order.

I had the shrimp PO boy and it was what I expected. The fries are a bit Greasy you can deffenitly tell it's all vegetable oil in the back. Service was friendly and the price was less than 15 per dish

Shrimp platter with 2 sides and sweet tea will set you back 13 bucks but it is good, hot, and worth every penny.

Ordered the Crawfish and was deeply Disappointed. The seasoning was like a cinnamon base. Disgusting.

The girl upfront at the register rude as hell to the customers. Just come for the food only please.Also ,it doesn't take 25 mins to fry up some seafood when there are hardly any customers.

Who pays $10 just for the heads to be taken off the shrimp??? Why should I pay for something I cant eat!!!

Some of the best stuffed fish I've ever had. Expect to spend at least $12 a person, more like $15, but the food was worth it.

Service was horrible. No one was friendly. Food was not seasoned well. Shrimp was not deveined and the best thing on our order was the cheese grits. A lot of food but not very tasty at all. I've heard so much good talk about this place but after eating Here. Never again. 60.00 was not worth it.

Great local joint. Normally a line to order. Atmosphere is spartan but totally suitable for the environment. It is super easy to over cook oysters, but theirs we're done to perfection. She shrimp Po-Boy was overstuffed with shrimp. Hush puppies are a side order, which is why I dinged it 1 star. Hush puppies should accompany any fries seafood dinner, we are in Alabama for God's sake! Strike up a friendly conversation with an ajoining table and enjoy.

We discovered this place late in our month in Mobile but will make it back for sure. The food is absolutely delicious and reasonably priced considering what you get.

We order the mahi mahi (incl. 2 sides $13) and the catfish Pierre (incl. 2 sides $10). Both were outstanding! The Pierre was 2 healthy pieces of catfish covered in a rich and creamy sauce with either crawfish or shrimp, maybe both. I'd order it again... and again.

We also tried the fried shrimp (10 pc. for $10 incl. 2 sides). Another hit! The mix of sides were corn, cheese grits, shrimp jambalaya, and broccoli casserole. All were simply amazing.

Regarding the criticisms of the service, I suppose I understand. The person at the cash wasn't particularly friendly, at least not to us. The service is a little slow and it doesn't look like it's as efficient as it could be. But considering it's an order-at-the-counter type restaurant, service isn't really what the place is about. I would dock one point for that but then I'd reinstate a bonus point for the exceptional food and value.

I'm never disappointed when I visit this go-to spot for excellent and moderately priced seafood. Who locally can beat the price for their combo with the amount/variety of food you get for only $10.50? I'll wait,lol.
