We eat at Santa Ritas on a regular basis. The food is always tasty and made with fresh ingredients. Even though they refer to themselves as Tex-Mex, many of the dishes are not heavy on the grease. The salsa is outstanding and they keep you well supplied along with chips. Two of our favorites are the Santa Rita #1 plate for a hearty meal and the fried shrimp tacos for a liter meal. The house margaritas are the best I have had in Austin. The staff is friendly and attentive.

Went here for lunch because Trudy's wasn't open. The salsa lacked heat and the crunchy tacos shells were stale, most likely because they were prepared in advance for the lunch special. The only good thing is that the food came out fast and the service was prompt. In and out in no time.

Really solid Tex-mex restaurant. The service is always really good with friendly staff. Their fajitas are juicy and their salsa spicy. They also have some really good margaritas. If you re in the area, I recommend stopping by for their happy hour. I have enjoyed all of my meals here

Pretty good food and drinks. Expect to find all of the Tex-Mex basics, with few surprises. For some reason that I have yet to deduce, the food stuffs at the south location have better quality. Quite inexpensive.

Service is great. Clean. I ordered the tomas enchiladas. They were not what I expected. Overall taste is a 3 out 5, a bit on the dry side....would like to try other items, so I'll be coming back

Service was poor. When asked the server what their specials are, all she said was the lunch special. Once we ordered from the lunch special she said the lunch special is from Monday to Friday; not Saturday. Food was not so well, the tortillas were packaged. Ordered a chalupa and they barely put any beans but was over loaded with lettuce. Our server Josephina barely tended to us. She was not very well as far as speaking to us. She was short and not specific with her responses and was quick to walk away from the table.

I love Tacos al Pastor and while Takoba has the best, they are also great here. Delicious rice and beans as well. I'm also not a huge fan of chips and salsa, but they are pretty good here.

The indoor seating feels cozy and welcoming, even if a little loud. The patio seating is also relaxing and fun. Great prices too, in the whole realm of Tex-Mex.

A huge plus is that it is in the same lot as Teo, since I can't get enough of their gelato.

While upon leaving, I was prepared to return (good food, good happy hour and close to work and home), but I will not ever again.

I left my phone on the table but only live down the block and realized it when I got home. My boyfriend went back for me and spoke with our server and the busser and they both said they did not see it.

I went back with him five minutes later because it had to be there. The bartender helped us and asked the staff and no one had seen it. We used Find My IPhone while there and heard the ping from the hostess stand. Opened the hostess cabinet and there was my phone. We asked numerous people and no one was able to say anything, no speaking to manager or looking at a central lost and found, yet there my phone was. This all makes it more seem that the phone was being stolen.

So disappointing because you lost business.

Atmosphere: Funky, colorful, artsy, casual. Very inviting.

Food: I was excited to see rotisserie chicken on the menu, and it was moderately good. It tasted a bit dry with soft skin, probably cooked the day before or early that morning. Refried beans were delicious - and vegan. Flour tortillas were chewy and pretty tasty. My friend enjoyed her flautas.

Pricing: Approx $35 for 2, entrees and non-alcoholic beverages.

I really like the unique style of Tex Mex they offer. They have a good selection of enchiladas, which are all delicious. I've liked the other dishes I've sampled here also. Their margaritas are tasty, and they offer one called the "skinny" with less calories, which is good - a little tart and not too sugary like margaritas can sometimes be. The atmosphere is casual and nice. They've always brought the food out quickly when we've been there.

Drinks were ok, but a little overpriced, for what they were.

The $17.95 steak was tiny - smaller than 6oz - which seemed pricey for what arrived. The fajitas were fine although the meat and onions were a little greasy. Service was noticeably absent though it was 4pm and we were sat at the bar. Overall, nothing really special and quite expensive for what we ate.

Santa Rita is a winner in every respect. Great atmosphere, great food and great margaritas. It's family friendly, but also a great place to go with friends.

Try the Lorena and a frozen margarita.

Classic tex mex ideas executed oh so well. The Mexican martinis and margaritas complement their creative and unique selection of entrees, appetizers and sauces. The spinach and mushroom enchiladas were a highlight.

Service left us hanging so long that I thought we had accidentally stayed past close, but they still had 45m before the end of the night. Thankfully we weren't in a rush.

Very good Tex-Mex. The restaurant is tucked back in the back of the complex with not a whole lot of signage. You kind of have to know it s there to find it. Parking can be tough around lunch time so I recommend coming early. Good drink menu if you come for happy hour.

This is one of my favorite places to go when I'm at the office since its around the corner. House margs on the rocks, and the queso with the guac and beans and stuff is legit. I try something new almost every time I come here since I haven't fell in love with any of the menu items so far, but I'm never disappointed either. The reason for 4 stars is this one waitress who we've had twice and it's like she wants to take your fingerprints to serve you a margarita.. She held up our IDs and took an uncomfortable amount of time staring at us, then our ID's..on a tuesday...at 1pm, it was super weird. The wait is always way longer than any other server we get. But, a margarita helps forgive & forget.

When we rolled up on the place... well wait...

First... It's kinda tucked in the back of the shopping center, so it's a tad hard to see, but once you find it, it's like an oasis in the desert!

If you get their combination plates, they bring out a starter taco. I felt fancy, and the plates are pretty inexpensive!

Oh, and the food? Pretty damn good. Especially their salsa and chips. I think I've eaten my weight in that stuff. The first time we went, they noticed how much we loved them they sent us home with a big jar and a bag of chips, at no charge!

The service is impeccable. Never once had to wait.

My only suggestion is don't sit out back. There are birds that are too familiar with humans that will annoy you. Other than that, they make great drinks and you can't order anything bad on the menu - it's all delicious!

Yet another Austin Tex Mex restaurant that is simply, alright.

I went here for happy hour with friends after work. For a drink I had the Mexican Martini, which was actually pretty good and as strong as it should be. It's surprisingly probably the second best I've ever had, after Trudy's.

For dinner I got the San Antonio which was one crispy beef taco and guacamole; followed by one soft chicken taco and one beef enchilada with authentico sauce. I was not impressed. Nothing about the meal tasted great, in fact, most of it was pretty tasteless. The only reason I scarfed it down was because I needed something to be paired with my drink orders.

I would definitely come here again for drinks, but probably wouldn't stay for dinner.

Great service from our waitress! I ordered the el Rey platter, but I wish my food didn't come in three phases, that was confusing when I was brought my first taco, out 4 items, on my platter. I think my meal should be served all at once. Loved the restaurant decor, and it was nice that the owner came by to get a sense off our experience. Those beef fajitas were tender!

I ve never had a long wait to get a table. The food is straightforward Tex mex done well. They always have free chips and salsa which seems to be less common in Austin. However, the staff seems to forget about their tables some times, not coming for food orders despite not being very busy.
