Boerner Botanical Gardens Review

An absolutely beautiful place especially in the summer with tons of blooming flowers. They also book various events.

It was an enjoyable experience especially with the beautiful exhibitions for the China Lights. Would come again.

Tried to go last night. Parking horrible and HUGE line waiting for 1 shuttle that could not efficiently handle the long line of people waiting. After waiting for over 30 minutes in shuttle line and no hope of getting on a shuttle for another half hour, we decided to leave.

The manicured lawns and gardens are so calming to walk through. An oasis in the city.

Paid $26.50 to take the family to the light show tonight. The last 1/4 of the lights were not on. Completely not worth the high price for one car. Very disappointed. We went to candy cane lane afterwards. Love the botanical gardens and china lights, so overall am ok with making a donation to the gardens and whitnall park but if your kids are over 10 this will be short and disappointing. 5 dollars seems a more appropriate price point.

This place is BEAUTIFUL. I have been to many botanical gardens and this is one of the best. I especially love the rock garden. If you get rained out within 10 minutes of entering, they should offer a rain check.

Very special attraction. So many well kept paths with a large variety of flower species. So relaxing to stroll through the gardens.

We went for the China Lights and it was beautiful. I would love to go during the spring or summer time. I highly recommend!

The China Lights show is a spectacular event. The Gardens are first class - beautiful displays of flowers.

The Gardens are beautifully designed, the flowers glorious. Kids love the koi pond. For the last few years we have seen China Lights- definitely worth seeing if it comes back. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly.

This was an amazing botanical garden! The property was huge and there was so much to see. I saw lots of wildlife, as well. I went on a dreary day, but everything still looked amazing! I loved the wooden pathway through the trees that was sort of hidden away from the rest of everything. It was very serene. I'm glad I made the trip to check this place out! If I lived close, I'd probably go there often just to sit and relax!

It's a great experience... feast to eyes. Kids gonna love this

It's getting chilly and damp now, but China Lights is open through October 27th. Dress warmly, bring gloves, and wear good walking shoes. Close, VIP parking is $10 cash and worth it because to see the Lights, you are going to take a nice walk!!

This place is always beautiful and there's of plenty of space to walk around it and to other parts of the park.

Beautiful park. Very well maintained. If you like Flora this the park for you.

I love this place! Been coming here for over 50 years.

It's so fun to walk around all the gardens and see the beautiful work. The price is very affordable. I personally wish they had more tropical indoor plants but overall it's a great place

The light show is an annual event that should be on your bucket list if you haven't been there.

Absolutley beautiful. Many different flowers and plants to use as a backdrop for photos. My kids loved seeing the chipmunks run everywhere.

The china lights were a great experience for the whole family!

We attended the China Lights display at Boerner Botanical Gardens and it was fsntastic with brilliant colors and beautiful design. A wonderful evening event.

A wonderful botanical garden which has amazing food when Zilli hosts special holiday brunches for Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day and early December. There are other special events such as Enchanted Evening, China Lights etc. Check the Boerner Botanical Gardens Facebook page or website for calendar of events.

Went to China lights, the guy telling you where to park was rude and acted like he didn't care.

We went for the China lights display. It was very awesome. The lights are very impressive and the displays are very well made. Highly recommend going!!

First time for China lights. It was a fantastic display.

Went yo the China lights show be expecting to park far, wait a half hour or more for a shuttle, being unable to walk and see the lanterns because of how crowded it was and then wait another half hour to wait for another shuttle to take you back to your car worst experience at a event

It is so beautiful I went for a class field trip and it was so much fun

The China lights exhibit is AMAZING! Super busy so get there when it opens and plan to wait in long lines.

Our family had a wedding here . Was the most beautiful place you could every walk though. On top of that we came back for the Fall light show . I truly recommend you will have the same awesome experience that our Family had .

Boerner Botanical Gardens China Lights Festival features 40 large Chinese lantern displays which illuminate the nine acre gardens in Whitnall Park. Running times are Tues-Sunday 5:30-10pm. Each night staff lead a parade that ends at the main state where performances begin. There are various food vendors with fall favorites like cider, caramel apples, etc... We went last year and we're amazed, headed back up this weekend.

What a beautiful and relaxing place to either go for a walk and/or sit and read. Pretty reasonably priced.

China Lights display was so amazingly beautiful that we came back twice in one week to see it ALL and be able to enjoy so many different food options (ALL of which was delicious!)..The only reason I didn't give the 5th star was due to the fact we purchased the VIP package and the panda bear that was supposed to be honored, was not in stock (either of the 2days), they claim they ran out but my kids and I were very disappointed, they had really looked forward to the keepsake and I had paid EXTRA for that particular package, FOR the panda souvenir. Even so, we will definitely return for the lights and food, entertainment, next time!

Why a gem! I was amazed by how curated and diverse the garden was. Definitely check out the massive herb garden! It was a highlight for me!

An absolutely amazing place! Walking through the trails and gardens of flowers will inspire you to want more. The tulips and Crabtrees in spring are amazing, the roses garden in summer is tremendous and all the exotic flowers will make you look at the signs wondering if you can grow those at home.

Its a little pricey for what you get to look at but is family friendly!

The China lights program was outstanding, even the purchased food was delicious

Attended China Lights 3 years in a row now at the botanical gardens. Great experience and the kids loved it.

Absolutely stunning! This was my first experience and it was wonderful! Had the VIP package - which included a guided tour by Erin - Erin was phenomenal, professional, accommodating and friendly! Looking forward to returning again & again!

China Lights was very enjoyable. Relaxing, visually colorful & nice experience.

Was a first time visit and totally worth it. Would recommend visiting on a weekday to avoid crowd. Quite mesmerized with the lights.
